  1. Nearly every cruise we have taken on this class ship we were in 205 aft balcony same as 220 you are referring to. Quick trip up a flight of stairs to tg aft pool or Lido. Also, a covered deck across the back just outside our door. The balcony is larger and gives great aft views and normal side views. I’m not sure why I’m advertising this 😆

  2. We have been 4 star for awhile and I do not iron prior to my cruise as I used to. I unpack and send out those items for press only the same day. We usually get them back next day. Love free laundry and dry cleaning perk. We don’t purchase wine or water so can’t address that question

  3. Thank you HAL! I'm all for folks doing their own thing. However, I really wasn't looking forward to feeling like a "peeping tom" every time I went to the end of our balcony in cabin 220 to see what scenery there was to see on the starboard side of the ship.

That is exactly how we felt in 205 the other side of the aft deck. Comming and going up to the aft pool outside “our “ backdoor :)

  4. We have been in cabin 205 aft corner many times as it is our favorite. This spring we were in that cabin again on the Maasdam for a 30 day cruise from the West Coast and was very surprised to see a women sunbathing most days in almost full nude. She apparently was significant other to a crew member as we saw them together he in his work uniform. So we did not see a sign that trip so it was added later. I think there would be a better deck area for this on the ship.

  5. How I would love to soak in a nice hot bath---be it at home, in a hotel, or on a cruise. But I am no longer able to get down and (especially) back up again.

The hot tubs are too dangerous for me because of my heart, but I used to use them, and would again if the cardiologist said it was all right.

I love to use the hydrotherapy pools on the ships that have them, and the swimming pools, too.

Maybe I'm reckless, but I trust in my immune system to deal with the germs of life. Like the old saying goes---Ya gotta eat a pound of dirt before ya die!

I love you attitude, I too would love to use the tubs but don’t for the same reasons as yours. We do use the pools and hot tubs on the ships with no problems. I don’t think I’ve eaten my pound of dirt yet or ocean critters I can’t see while ocean swimming [emoji4]

  6. WE have that room on the 19day Panama cruise so I'd be very interested in the A/C. April will be hot.

We loved our cabin but really nice due to the aft facing balcony view. We had side and aft during the Canal time and it was great. The AC was used on max our entire cruise and we were fine most of the time. It seemed stuffy and a bit warmer at night. The couch bed was broken and not usable by our daughter the third adult in our cabin. The steward brought in a rollaway for her use and folded it up each morning so it was against the wall opposite the couch. Everything else was fine in our cabin and clean but couch and carpet needs replacing.

  7. I've taken many "tropical" cruises, including my 19-day round-trip to the Panama Canal out of LA last November. Dress was the the same as just about every other cruise: all gentlemen in suits or tuxes; women dressed up. The nights I didn't feel like dressing up, I went to the buffet or specialty restaurant. People were nicely dressed even in the buffet.

The ship is nicely air-conditioned and even chilly in the dining room and theater. The outside temperature and humidity have little effect unless you're outdoors.

What ship were you on please, and we're to cabins chilly if needed?
