The German-speaking market now has different terms from the rest of Europe, with enhanced UBP and stateroom gratuities included in the cruise fare. So the fares are also different (higher, but not necessarily that much higher).
Yes, Also Lavazza in restaurants and bottled water..... all inclusive now... just booked it... great!

Earlier this month on Eurodam we had new furniture. There were two chairs that reclined to about 3-4 positions and a separate footstool which nested underneath and almost made a lounger.
It was much better that what we had on prior cruises. Someone on deck 10 said they had wicker type chairs.
What ships have the new stuff?
Somebody please tell me what is on Zuiderdam ;)
There was a report about new furniture on Zuiderdam some weeks ago.

In addition, various Lavazza coffee specialties served in all our restaurants, and a bottle of water per person per day in your stateroom.

Wondering if there is a minibar in a regular veranda cabin?

It seems to be a great thing, does it work with the SBP?
I love Martinis....

North Beach Village Resorts has a number of smaller boutique hotels within a block or two of the beach. We can highly recommend any of their properties.
I agree, nice hotels!
The Tara is a little attrited now..... but the Garden and the new Northbeach are very good.

Did anyone make any pictures? I really like to see what is new.....

We just got off the zuiderdam today (same cruise as Terri and German Giant) and we had a great time. It was our first HAl cruise and we were really impressed. I think the Zuiderdam actually looks really nice, the food is very good (in the Lido, MDR and Pinnacle Grill) and our cabin was fine. Most of the crew is friendly. Things we didn't like so much: service in the MDR is really fast, we like to enjoy our food, have some wine and talk, but in less than an hour our 3 courses were served, so at 9 pm we already left the restaurant. For me it was rather chilly in the public spaces. I don't like the big difference in temperature outside-inside. And more entertainment on deck would be nice. One night the band played a couple of hours on deck in the evening and that was great. And it's true that we had to wait a few times for a drink, but that didn't bother me. as I said, it was a nice ship and we would consider sailing on the Zuiderdam again!
Thank You, nice to read that....
Which cruiseline's did you travel bevore?
-
all I will say is.. we were on the Zuiderdam just after it first came out a number of years ago .. and again a few months ago in late January after getting off the Maasdam... bottomline.. it is a mess..and poorly run ..never again.. fini
Oh no.... i booked a transatlantik, would you cancel ?
I have never been on a HAL ship, did Azamara, Celebrity, Crystal and Princess.
I dont like to go on a 17 night dissapointing cruise.
-
So many bad reports about this ship.... still.....
-
House wines were $5.95. Unless there's been a change since I last saw a price list, $8 will open up a few additional wine selections. The wine part of the SBP was always the weakest part, so hopefully this will help.
It 's not easy to find out what it is like ... so many different reports.
7 $ 8$ 10$ not possible to pay the difference, possible to pay 1$ extra...
confusing.... so I will wait and see how it works on my cruise .-)
-
Some people report that the max. for wine is up to 8$ now. Is that right?
Or is the house wine more expensive now, so the limit is up?
-
Thank you.... we will see how it goes on.... sometimes they complete things when the ship is sailing.
