Before doing that, call your PVP and make sure that your cruises are linked. If they are linked you have a good chance of being Platinum at the start of your first cruise. :classic_cool:

I use a Carnival PVP and when I was in a similar situation (for me it was my first B2B and it was the second leg that I would move from platinum to diamond). He told me he would connect the bookings and I should be diamond on the first leg. Fortunately I was but I did meet up with a friends that used a private vacation planner and she wasn't advanced to diamond until her actual cruise which was the second leg of her b2b

    Good luck and have fun

  2. I be done three f journey cruises and several b2b. I love them both and agree with much of the pros and cons listed with one major exception. I find the turn around day on b2b to be a pro. Its the only time you nearly have the whole ship to yourself. There is usually about 45 minutes that the ship is at "zero count" ( meaning everyone that needs to be off from the first sailing). The crew is busy getting things ready for that he first passengers to arrive and it is super pleasant.

    Th recommend both

  3. I'm thinking trying NCL as I've heard about the solo traveler deals and discounts. I just retired and wanting to get the best value for my dollar. Most of my previous cruise experiences have been on Carnival.  I'd love to get your thoughts and advice

Thanks so much for the tips and suggestions

  4. I have walked in the main dining room during brunch and told the hostess I'd like to order my complementary brunch beverage. They send over someone to me and they take my order   once they bring it to me I leave out and enjoy it wherever I like

  5. GM all

I will be taking a couple of cruises this summer and would like bring a fan to use in my cabin. Tried the Carnival FAQ to see what the regulations are and wht size/type of fan I can bring. Any information or suggestions would be appreciated. Sometimes the rooms are just too warm for my comfort.

    Thanks all
