I saw this thread about 20 minutes ago so I logged into fare viewer and submitted my request. I literally had enough time to tell my dh about the drop and refreshed my booking and the price drop had been applied. I truly never expected an aft extended balcony to drop and can't believe it! :p

So...they can go into a cabin with minors in it, but they can't go into the cabin that the offensive smell is obviously coming from? Am I wrong in thinking that pot is something that not only gets you to the naughty room, but is cause for removing you from the cruise entirely? Yet they seem hesitant to remedy the situation? Pardon me for saying this, but I would be raising all kinds of heck with the powers that be!!!

Thank you so much for the info! Since posting our plans had a bit of a change...we decided to fly in to NOLA and stay at Embassy Suites pre-cruise. I still haven't chosen a hotel for post-cruise, but I am leaning toward Embassy Suites again.

I was a little shocked for our options for transport to and from airport to downtown, but nothing that isn't being worked out.

The main reason I am commenting is that I have just started reading and I am thoroughly enjoying myself, but this picture made me LOL.:D. Your little one looks so happy!

I can't wait to read more, you are doing a great job and as a mom who is taking her three kids I'm interested very much in your experiences. Granted, ours are 18, 16 and 9. The 9yr old can't wait for Camp Carnival!

We are on the July 27th sailing and travelling with a 9 yr old and he's excited about it, but it has been so difficult to find info on it. More so lately with the search engine being down. Any info would be much appreciated!

I just booked three of these rooms 9479, 9478, & 9481 and I would love to know if anyone has been in these rooms, has pictures, or information in general?

151 days and counting and I'll be living the "Dream"

We are renting a large van for seven of us, driving from N. Texas and will have to drop it off the evening we arrive. I'm wondering

1) Best hotels near the port for families that are within walking distance and if not within walking distance which would be the most economical?

2) Will there be a shuttle from the airport or will we have to pay for a taxi?

I'm certain I have other questions, but at the moment I'm too excited about the simple fact that we are finally planning this trip!:p

A few years ago on a W. Caribbean itin. I happened to glance past the partition of our balcony and our neighbor had a live conch in a bucket sitting out there. They had young children with them. I always wondered how they got it of the ship once back in Galveston.

I was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to book 3 rooms with the following combinations?

Rooms 1 & 2- over 25 adult

Room 3 - 18 yr old and 21 yr old

Any suggestions if they won't?

If you would rather email me so as not to get in "hot water" with the moderators I can give you my email. I have been looking for such a course and I am having quite a time finding one.

I am truly enjoying your review and it is getting me excited about booking our family cruise.

I was wondering if there are any cabanas close to the children's area? I realize most people want privacy, but we are taking our children, (dd-17, dd-15 and ds-8) and of course the ds will take one look at it and never want to leave. I was thinking if there were some close to that then we would still have the luxury of a cabana and still be able to keep him occupied and within eyesight of dh and I.

BTW, I still giggle every single time I think of the "manly, man with the pink thong"!
