Maybe everyone needs to read the New England Journal of Medicine’s report where they say that masks outside of the medical profession absolutely do not help lessen the spread. But hey, they’re not experts either, are they?  🍷

From article: We understand that some people are citing our Perspective article (published on April 1 at NEJM.org)1 as support for discrediting widespread masking. In truth, the intent of our article was to push for more masking, not less.

I'll try to sort through it this evening.

This is an interesting page that shows the status of each cruise line.

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/crew-disembarkations-commercial-travel.html

Bahamas Paradise is good to go and MSC is getting close.

This list of color coded ships is for crew members being able to work and disembark.

  3. Our transpacific cruise on the Serenade 4/17/21 has been missing online for at least 6 weeks. i called and they said it was in the red. She said it could mean it is sold out. My TA called last week and was told it was cancelled and Royal would be announcing soon. They are still selling sailings before and after it. So who knows for sure? I think Royal will continue to sell as long as they can even when the know a sailing is going to be cancelled.

  4. What's involved in an American renting a car in Canada? And not to be an UGLY American but is it safe for us to be driving in their country? We drove from Skagwway to Yukon with no issues but most folks on the road were Americans also I think.

Car rentals work just the same as in the US. I am not sure if you are afraid of our driving or us, but I think you will make out just fine :) Canada is one of the friendliest countries in the world.

  5. To me there is nothing like the excitement of walking up the boarding ramp of your ship, and as you step out of the bright sunlight into the ships beautiful foyer, the gratiousness of being offered a nice cool drink of bubbly by a member of the ships staff clad in white gloves. It has a touch of class that as you said is unique among the mass market cruise lines.

    You said it perfectly:)
