How lovely to have a proper table on the veranda! I hope you’ll be able to enjoy some of your breakfasts al fresco.
If we werent sailing around Britain in August, we would have enjoyed a wonderful balcony breakfast, but it was a little chilly. We spent more time on the area outside the bedroom. (where the jacuzzi and loungers were) as it was more protected from the wind.

After the Silhouette was revolutionised, they obviously did away with the drawers. The under counter lights could not be turned off either - the butler couldn't find out how to either. Absolutely adored the double shower though.

We are a range of sizes from me (petite) to our son 6’ and they really don’t suit anyone...Even with a footstool with no back cushion they are still rather odd...As you can see from this mad photo 😂, the chair is large. I'm 5ft2 and needed a footrest for it to work but so did hubby at 6ft, so it is a rather odd size.

I hope you'll enjoy your time in the PH with your family and have a great time together. We had 1611 in August and loved it.
Agreed, those 2 chairs are an odd size. We requested a couple of footstools for them and it made them more comfortable to sit in.

I posted this on that previous thread which I did for RBS Platinum account which may help those with RBS or NatWest accounts.
If you want a downloadable letter, log into your account, click on the travel insurance " use benefit".
This opens an important information page re: Covid. There is a "confirmation of cover" box which shows details of the Insured people/account holder and cover.
Then click to download "confirmation of cover document" just above that. This doc sets out the cover personalised to you with the important paragraphs below:
UK Cruise
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic some UK cruise providers now require travel insurance to provide at least £2,000,000 of cover for emergency medical and repatriation costs. In response to this change we are extending our limit for UK cruises departing in 2021.
This policy will provide cover for emergency medical and repatriation costs up to £10,000,000 when you are travelling on a UK cruise that departs in 2021. The cruise duration must be for a minimum of 2 nights for cover to apply.
You must ensure you meet all the conditions of carriage for your cruise provider.

Great news about entering Italy without quarantine for UK travellers.
All we need now is for Montenegro (Kotor stop) to be removed from the UK's red list and our 9 Oct trip is good to go 😁.

I hope they do look at it, as you say, it's not oy UK people, it's those transiting too.
-
I see Montenegro has been put on the red list now, which affects our 9 Oct cruise as Kotor is one of the stops.
Not sure what will happen with this trip for UK citizens, what with Italy not letting us in unless we quarantine for 5 days and now Kotor going on the red list. Losing all hope now.

Yep, captains circle is Princess and captains club is Celebrity.
We were at the 2nd party and no mention of the most frequent cruiser on board. The 2 parties were done due to covid but divided into those staying on lower decks attending the early one and higher decks on the 2nd later party

What is a ‘Captain’s Circle’ party?
It's for anyone who has sailed with Celebrity before as a sort of "welcome back/keep sailing with us/loyalty" party. The Snr officers milk around and you can talk to them if you wish and the captain says a few words by way of welcome and thanks for being on board.
-
Just got off 14 Aug sailing and it was night 2 (Sun) and night 6 (Thu).
They had a captains Circle party (short and sweet) on night 4 where a few more were dressed up (more jackets) although there were a couple of tuxes.
All were sea days.

Just in case anyone is going for Eurofins testing at Birmingham Business Park, the address is 2010 The Crescent but the building is actually in Solihull Parkway on the edge of the Crescent. It is shown as Miso and no Mention of Eurofins so tricky to see off the main road. It's obviously rented office space.
Hopefully this will help someone find it a little easier.
-
We're on 14 Aug and we're given 3 options. I can only recall 2 though:
Birmingham Airport - Birmingham Business Park, Birmingham Business Park, 2010 The Crescent, Solihull Pkwy, B37 7YS (we have booked this one to save going into the city centre. 2 slots offered at varying times).
Birmingham City Centre, think it is in the Burlington Hotel.
You should get the email in a couple of weeks and just punch in your locality and the options will pop up.
Our email arrived Sun 25 Jul (15:40) for 14 Aug sailing.
-
Yes, just received same email.
Makes more sense that everyone does a PCR test. I wondered why thise vaccinated had to have one and those under 18 only had to have an antigen.
This is the right way to do it.

We depart Rome on 9 Oct, arriving into Venice on 19 Oct on Quest.
No flights booked from UK yet as it's such a fluid situation.
It will be interesting to see what Azamara plan to do. I still think they'll change this "Italy intensive" cruise to a Greek one, round trip Athens, hence my reluctance to book flights.
Watching this news very carefully.

I've posted this on the Princess & Celebrity forums as they are also doing UK only cruises this year and thought it may be useful for anyone saying on Disney too.
The Bank's are starting to update their insurance to cover cover cruises for UK guests this year.
I have an RBS Platinum account which is underwritten by UK Insurance Ltd. I think NatWest have the same cover.

I think Nationwide and Barclays have something similar, so worth checking.

Thank you for this. My RBS Platinum account has the same cover as NatWest. I located the personalised endorsement letter after logging into my account and using the travel benefit, clicking into "confirmation of cover" and downloading my personalised confirmation of cover document. I've been checking this regularly and it appears to have only recently been done.

Dang!! There goes our Quest october 02. cruise out of BCN. Maybe we will lift and shift to 2022.
Interesting to see that our Quest 9 October "Italy intensive", immediately following yours is not cancelled.
I wonder if they'll cancel it closer to the time or change it into a "Greek intensive" voyage instead.
Only time will tell...

I was holding off booking with other companies until I saw the dates/itineraries.
Unfortunately, due to annual leave difficulties, we are unable to book any of them.
We've booked with Princess in Sept as the dates work, which is a shame as Cunard are definitely my cruise line of choice.
Suite Perks ?

We had an aft suite on Sky.
Bar set up is
2 whisky
2 gin
2 vodka
2 brandy
2 beer
2 sparkling water
2 still water
2 tonic
2 coke
2 lemonade
Call room service on arrival and they will switch these out to your choice.
Alcohol switched for alcohol and soft for soft.
We end up with 4 vodka, 4 whisky, loads of coke, lemonade and still water as we don't like the others.
Call the dining line on arrival too book your free speciality dining for the first night.
Steward comes in twice a day and click the service my room on the lit up part outside your room, same for privacy.
We left towels in Bath if wanted them changed.
Extra/different pillows can be sorted out by phoning housekeeping.
Canapés aren't automatic except formal nights. You need to complete a form every night and leave it for the steward.
Laundry/dry cleaning can be left on the bed and the steward will take it and return when done - usually a couple of days turnaround.
Pool towels and blankets are in the room. The steward put out towels on the sunbed every day.
If you do t like orange juice, you can have the breakfast mimosa neat 😉
