I was on the Getaway in Jan and Oasis in Feb and I thought the food on the Getaway was better than Oasis and I ate most of my meals in the Coastal Kitchen and Chops one time. I thought the buffet on the Getaway was equivalent to my 2 Celebrity cruises I've been on.

I'd recommend eating at O'Sheehan's or the dining room. I'll be back on the getaway in 2 weeks and I'll probably go straight to O'Sheehan's.

Just received an email we will be arriving in Nassau at noon now instead of 10am and departing at 7pm instead of 6pm.

 

What would be the reason for this?

I just saw that also. I'm fine with that cause I usually don't get off the ship in Nassau. Enjoy your first cruise, the Getaway is great and I'll be on the April 4th sailing.

I just got off of the Oasis yesterday and they do serve complimentary wine for lunch and dinner in the Coastal Kitchen.

I got off the Oasis today and had Cabin 14330. Loved these aft suites. Enjoy your cruise.

If you are still undecided go read eroller's review of the Getaway that's on this first page. I think you have been reading people's dislike for NCL on Royal's page. Like I told you in another post I like Royal and I cruise on the Oasis on Feb 14th and May 2nd but the Navigator would not compare to the Getaway. Plus getting the ultimate beverage package or whatever you decide is just icing on the cake. Try it out, it's boring to me taking the same cruise line every cruise that's why I switch things up but I think you would love the Getaway. I liked it so much I just booked it 2 more times this past week with my next time on her will be April 4th.

I purchased the ultimate dining plan for $119. So I ate all 7 of my dinner meals in speciality restaurants and didn't eat in the dining room but I have on other NCL ships. I'm not loyal to any cruiseline and never had a problem with service on NCL in the dining room or at any bars. I had such a great time being back on an NCL ship that I booked the Getaway 2 more times and the Escape which is the new ship for this December. I'd say go for it I think the Getaway will blow you away.

I've never been on the Navigator but I would switch to the Getaway in a heartbeat. You can't beat the free beverage package and I know the Getaway is a great ship. I loved my Getaway cruise I took last month. I cruise on the Oasis next weekend and wish Royal were offering the free beverage package like NCL is doing.

I wondered the same thing when I made a reservation there. I read on here that it's a la carte.

I did a cruise on Regal Princess last month. The food was amazing. I think it was the best buffet I had on all of my cruises. There will be a lot more activities for your teens on Quantum but for half price I would go on the Regal in a heartbeat. Cruising on the Regal opened up my eyes on Princess and will probably cruise them more often now.

I also received one yesterday. Leaving out on the Victory 4 day cruise today. Went from an inside to a lido balcony $150 total.
