It'd help if you told us what cruises you're talking about so we know where the Azamazing Evenings are and what exactly they are. How do you know it's a jazz theme? You must've gotten that info. from somewhere so right now, you know more than we do. ;)
I was finally able to look it up. I honestly just assumed it was Jazz or some kind of instrumental music based on what others have said they had. Found that the first week it is an A cappella group in Slovenia. We have a 7 hour tour that day so will probably not attend this one, unless someone says it is not to miss. The second one is a cello player in Dubrovnik, not really our thing but again we will wait to see what others say. I'm thinking it would be nice to just spend some quiet time on the ship or maybe book a specialty restaurant these nights (if they are open). I am open to anyone's feedback about either if they have experienced them.

We are on two sailings with no sea days (little time to relax) and are not big into jazz. Would we truly be missing out on something if we didn't go to the amazing evening and opted to stay on the ship for the night to relax? Is it something that we can't miss? I'm afraid we will get there and my husband will be bored, then we would be stuck until it was time to come back. I've heard some nightmares of getting to the venue. Do many people stay onboard? Just trying to see what will work best. Also thinking since we are B2B that maybe we could do it the first week and then maybe skip the second week if it wasn't our thing.

Keeping our fingers crossed, as it is our 25th Anniversary and that would be a nice surprise. Glad to hear I still have time for the upgrade fairy to visit.

We put in an upgrade request for our upcoming cruise on the Quest that leaves 9/13. How far in advance would they tell you if you got it or not?

This looks like the itinerary that we are doing our first week in September. We are trying to make some plans but don't know where the ship is docked or tendered in each port, especially Amalfi. We are looking to do lunch somewhere special that day for my birthday. Any suggestions? Currently looking at Santa Caterina if it's close enough to get a ride from the port.

We are sailing the Getaway on the 15 th. We just got our bid accepted from an inside deck 5 IF to deck 12 -B4. Our bid was 200 each. It was a fair bid on the scale but for what we originally paid for the cruise seems like a lot. I'm glad we got accepted.

We just ate there the other night for dinner. We did not pre-reserve nor did we get any type of discount (we also didn't ask because I didn't know that was an option). We were charged the all carte prices for everything we ordered.

We did the Flaklands with Celebrity several years ago. It was one of my favorite ports of the cruise, One of the best tours ever to see the Penguins. I would love to go again but as much as I love Celebrity I would opt for an expedition ship this time so that we could do actual landings in Antarctica as well.

We have always loved Carambola. Ideas nt think we have ever had a bad experience there.

We are also sailing on the 25th and were happy to receive our new itinerary more than a week in advance. I'm sure its not easy cancelling three ports and finding three new ones with such short notice. Will just be happy returning to Equinox for the third time! :D
Maria might have plans to change our itinerary again! Looks like it's going right where we are supposed to go.

We are Celebrity lovers and have recently booked a back to back on Azamara next September. The price wasn't a good deal but we were in it more for the itinerary. We are very open minded about cruises and trying different lines. I really hope we won't be disappointed after spending quite a bit more for a much smaller cabin than we have this year on X. Without any sea days for 16 days we figure we won't see much of the cabin anyway. I'm curious to keep reading comparisons as we would also like to try YC on MSC.

Would a suite guest with global entry be better off doing self walk off ( which we always do) or wait and disembark with the rest of the suites? This is our first time in a suite, we always like to be off early so we can get on the road as quickly as possible.

We have walked it on several occasions to get to the beach near the hotel.

We are in CS 1618 on Equinox Sept. 25th. I'm disappointed in the size of the bathroom but excited to give it a try. We had a S suite on HAL Zuiderdam years ago and it was the best cabin we have ever had. The bathroom was huge and the 2 showers were nice for getting ready. We usually book inside cabins so that we can go on more cruises but decided to splurge for some extra points this time.

We are joining ship in Miami on July 16th, first ever cruise and really looking forward to it. We have a Classic drinks package but do we need to upgrade?
Know you said you aren't doing trips but which of them would you recommend from previous cruises.
It is our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we will do one speciality restaurant, which would you recommend?
Enjoy rest of cruise
For Cozumel I highly recommend Nachi Cocum. It's all inclusive on the beach with a pool. They only allow 100 people per day but you do need reservations. We go every time as its a nice place to spend the day. You can find them online.

In your search for lobster rolls it all depends what type you prefer. I like lobster salad rolls and my favorite is at Fanueil Hall in Boston, while others prefer the hot buttered type. We had a buffalo lobster roll in Bar Harbor the last time we were there, at Beal's, it was delicious. Good luck in your quest and I love the review.

WOW! Love the sail away video. Appreciate the time and effort you put into making this. Looking fwd to more of your report and videos.
We will be on this ship Sept 25. Different itinerary. We will be leaving out of Miami though. Not my favorite port. My aunt that lives in Toronto will be joining me on this trip. We did get all 4 perks included when we booked. So I'm
looking fwd to seeing pics of the ship and what the premium beverage package entails. Thanks
Kfoot we will be on the same sailing. It will be our third time on Equinox. Thanks for the amazing trip report, Kevin.

Thanks for the wonderful review. My friends are on this cruise so I feel like I'm right there with them. Enjoy your trip!

How far from port??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Forums mobile app
I don't remember how far it was but I know we took a van for about $7-10 pp. They have a website with what they offer. We had food, drinks, chairs and an umbrella. There were changing rooms also I think.

We LOVED Carambola Beach Club in St.Kitts. The beach was great, the people there were friendly and it was a wonderful day. There are other islands I would choose to miss but this wasn't one of them.

My wife and I are booked for the May 5th Equinox sailing and I still find myself concerned for a few reasons listed below.
1. We are both 40
2. I could care less what others wear to dinner
3. I could care less with which hands you use for your knife and fork, or which way the tines of your fork are pointing.
Reading these things, along with others comments, here on CC scare the crap out of me and make me wonder if we made the right choice in Celebrity.
I am 45 and have been on several Celebrity cruises and love them. I also don't care what people wear to dinner and am sure I have used the wrong fork on numerous occasions. I would wear shorts every night if I could. It's a very relaxing line which I find others aren't, maybe that's why I love them. We keep coming back so I think you'll find that you made a good choice. As long as you aren't looking for the beer pong tournament, that is.

We are on a 14 night right now, on night 8 and have not had any waves at all. I love rough seas so it's been disappointing to me but the weather has been beautiful.
-
We walked 45 minutes to iX Bistro through town and then walked back to the ship around 9:30 with no problems whatsoever. It was in a more residential area but we never felt unsafe at any point.
-
We have been to Boston, Portland and Bar Harbor so far. Not really much color yet, mostly just green. Still beautiful but I'll definitely take a later cruise next time. Hoping for some in Halifax on the way back.
Amazing Nights question
