  1. Holiday Inn Old Sydney The Rocks is an amazing location! You can see, and walk to the Sydney Opera House, and bridge. There are many fabulous restaurants right there. There is a street market that takes place right there-I’m sorry I can’t remember which day. AND you can see, and walk straight to the ship!

The Opera House is fun to tour. We saw a show there....disappointing as the consensus, from our group, was that the acoustics were not so good, and the venue nothing special JMHO.

Larnach Castle in Dunedin is a beautiful place, very interesting backstory, and offers a lovely afternoon tea.

My enthusiasm for Australia and especially New Zealand knows no bounds!

Wishing you the best trip ever!

    :)

  2. On a Panama Canal cruise my husband and I got on an elevator. When the doors opened on the next floor there was my husband's ex wife.

  3. We are cruising on Jewel of the Seas in October. We have booked a small group tour out of the Naples port. It is a full day, with stops in Pompeii, then onto the Amalfi coast, lunch, etc. We are to be picked up at ship 30 min. after docking and returned by 5:00 pm.

Here’s were I am getting nervous. The ship sails at 6:00pm. I have addressed this with the tour operator and have been assured that this is in plenty of time.

This company - World Tours- is booked thru TripAdvisor and gets very high praise.

    Should we be concerned?

Deb, we did something similar in reverse order-returned in plenty of time-but just a heads up-we missed SO much at Pompeii-they don’t give you nearly enough time.

  4. Dear all,

First RCI cruise......so from my understanding....there is no fresh grilled burgers and fries (like Guy's joint).....cafeteria style burgers and hots probably in some big metal container of "juice" on the buffet and soggy fries......No Blue Iguana or anything comparable to that on RCI.....

What great "FREE" food items does RCI have?!?! What is there to eat for lunch?!?!!? What am I missing here?!?!

This is a fun, silly post.

    Here’s my 2 cents-

If your cruise is all about pizza-try Princess

If your life centers around burgers-skip the cruise and go to Vegas-Bobby’s Burger Palace makes phenomenal burgers.

Otherwise stay home and hit up the likes of In n Out and Pieology .

    :)
