They are saying this new policy does not apply because we cancelled before the new policy was put into effect.

I got through in under 10 minutes but the customer service rep had to contact the Future Cruise Desk. That took 90 minutes on hold only to be told that when we cancelled in March for our July 15 cruise the Future Cruise Credit was only good for 12 months from issue (ours says May 28). I will let our TA sort this out but if they stick to the May 28 expiration date I will eat the $500 deposit and cruise with someone else in July 2021.

I also received my FCC today and it has the 28 May 2021 expiration date. It clearly states on the email that the cruise must be taken by the expiration date. I had planned to take a cruise in July. I guess I'll trying calling RCCL.

I called earlier this evening around 7:30 and I only waited 3 minutes.

I think she meant the difference she would have paid for VOOM and the price of the KEY was $40 for the week because she said she would have been paying for VOOM anyway. So she could possibly have gotten the KEY for 19.99 per day and figuring 11.99 per day for VOOM and the key for 8.00 per day and be on a 5 day cruise. That would add up to $40.00

I wanted to try it at least once. We purchased it for our upcoming 9 day Adventure of the Seas Eastern US & Canada trip in July. We paid 19.99 each per day for two of us. We would have spent the money on VOOM so for us I think it was worth it.

When you plan your days, post back for more advice. I know from personal experience that to go to the Metropolitan Museum, it would likely be faster to go downtown on PATH to pick up the 4 or 5 express train to get to the upper east side. We have lots of contributors who can give you advice about your plans.
Seniors are 62 on NJ Transit
Thank you so much, I will definitely post when i have my plans set. I love this board, there are so many helpful people willing to share their knowledge.

Thank you so much for this information. We are not quite seniors yet but I definitely will buy the 7 day MTA pass. We've done the same in London and Paris with weekly passes. It's great not to have to worry about payment. Also, I think the idea of using both Path and NJ transit depending on where we're going is a good one. It's a little more but hey, we're on vacation.

This is my plan for our July 15, 2020 cruise out of Bayonne. I would like to know if it's reasonable or if one of the experts on this board can guide me. We are flying into EWR on July 14 and will take the shuttle to the Hilton Newark Airport. The following morning we'll take an Uber to the port.
Upon returning July 24 we are staying for 6 days to see the sights in NYC. My plan is to book the Hilton Penn Station and take the PATH into NYC each day and then on departure day take the shuttle back to EWR. Is this plan reasonable or are there better options?

On AOTS this April and May 2019.
Attended CT and it is in MDR by the stair case overlooking MDR. A section with a big table just for the CT. Yes, a lot of noise.
We got 40% off.
Worth it? Depends on you.
We thought it was OK. Not into all the wines. Food very good. One time experience.
Others were picky eaters and didn't like food selection.
We enjoyed the Specialty Restaurants better. Bigger selection of food. JMHO!
May I ask how you got the 40% off? Did you wait til you were on the ship to book it? I'm leaning towards just getting the unlimited dining instead of the Chef's Table this time.

I've been to the Chef's table on Radiance and Empress, both had dedicated rooms. Can you explain why this is not a traditional Chef's table?
-
That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping with the refurb that they may have moved it. I don't think I'll waste my money on a meal in the MDR.
-
Does anyone know if the Chef's table is still in the MDR since the refurb last year? And if it is do you think it's worth it? We've been to two but they had their own dedicated dining room and I'm not so sure how it would be in the MDR.

We are planning the same trip on Tuesday next week. We fly into Seattle at 12:30 and are planning to drop our bags at King St. station and grab an Uber to Pike Place market and then to Chihuly Gardens. We'll then catch the train to Vancouver and are planning to take a call to our hotel downtown. That late at night we didn't want to take any chances.

We are leaving on the June 29th Northbound. This is our first Alaskan cruise. Any information you can pass on would be much appreciated.

Can I ask what date you originally cancelled your 4 cruises?
