Not showing anything after August 2014 on the website. Are they still doing that itinerary in 2015?
Most likely. The new itineraries come out around March the year before beginning with the repo that comes to Bayonne, but you never know.

Hi all,
I noticed on our first X cruise that afternoon tea was an event in a specialty restaurant for (IIRC) $25 a person. With Tea Forte being included in the drink packages at Cafe Al Bacio, where there are also snacks and table service, is this event really worth the up-charge? It was free on Carnival (and apparently just about every other cruise line) and I'm sure you can tell I am skeptical from my question. I'd love to know your experiences with it.
Did it once with DW and a friend. We all thought it was very expensive for what you got, especially when you consider that there are tea sandwiches at this time at the buffet and lots of other choices, not to mention Café Al Bacio which has pastries, coffee, and tea. Free if you have the beverage package. Sparkling wine also available.

Had 7206 for the Oct. 19th repo, (second cruise after the noro outbreak). The ship's public areas (and our cabin, for that matter) were as clean as any public space I have ever seen on a cruiseship. I give kudos to the crew for the enhanced cleaning after the noro outbreak. In my profession sanitation is paramount, so I know clean when I see it. Old is old and don't confuse old with unclean. After all the Summit is 13 years old.

Maybe the folks on CCl will be wearing more body ink.
Just remember on Carnival they are tattoos. On Celebrity it is body art.;)

You can't see the NY skyline and Statue of Liberty from the same side. NYC is on the port side, Lady Liberty off Starboard as you leave the harbour.
Wrong departure point. Bayonne is south of the Statue and NYC. Bayonne is situated on the left side of Upper New York Bay, and just west of Brooklyn.

I heard on the Constellation last week that the new loyalty levels will be announced on Nov 18. I hope there more bennies for those with 35 cruise points or more. No details were known.
I am so happy that Celebrity will finally recognize the elites from northern New Jersey. I knew all those weekends down the shore would finally pay off!;)

What is your favorite beer?
The one in front of me.

Thanks. If you hear of any others, please let me know.
Guy Fieri went there on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Pancakes, pancakes, and more pancakes. However, this is a bit out of the way depending on your route in. Have eaten there many times, but it will be very crowded on a Saturday morning, especially the first week back to school. Far closer and much more convenient for you would be two diners in Bayonne. The first and the one I would recommend, would be the Lighthouse at 31st and Broadway, or the Broadway Diner and Bistro at 8th and Broadway. Basic diner food and very inexpensive. Either is minutes from the port ,the Lighthouse being just a few blocks to the entrance of Cape Liberty. If you want directions to the diner (my guess is you probably getting off the turnpike) and to the port from the diner let me know.

omg. I understand that this is a " critics" forum, but really.. complaining about grinding your own pepper? or chocolates not on your pillow.. come on..
if you were paying for the suite with the full butler service... then maybe.. just maybe it would be justified.. get real..
really would you seriously let these things ruin your holiday...
get over it..
And it was just that run of the mill (pun intended) black pepper, not the red green and black stuff that looks so good in the jars.

Hello All,
We'll be cruising on the Summit in June and considering the Five Senses Food and Wine Pairing Meal in the Normandie restaurant. I believe it's $89 a person. My husband and I both enjoy trying new wines and pairings. Has anyone done the Five Senses? Did you enjoy it and think it was worth $89 per person?
Thanks,
Tracy in Pittsburgh
Choices are very limited with this option. Get the three night package for $99 before alcohol and you will be much happier IMHO.

Choices are very limited. Get the regular menu, you own wine, and take the three night package for $99 before alcohol. You'll be much happier IMHO.

$400 or $500 per person? Are you serious?
