Card in slot - Yes.

On the Majestic the cruise card is used to unlock your door by the pay pass or tap and go method. The hole that they put in mine did not affect it's ability to unlock our cabin door one bit.

Bit of a pity that they couldn't reclaim Campbells Cove and extend the Quay pier.

There was no mention of any outbreak of noro on the ship, unless it happened between Brisbane and Sydney. I did hear of a few cases of it, but it was not like in the hundreds, more the tens.

From memory, drink prices are as follows.
Beer by the bottle $8.75

Draught beer $10.00 per pint

Bucket of beer 5 for the price of 4 $35

Spirits start at $9.00 per glass

Fountain soda included in the package (souvenir cup)

Canned soda is not included in the package and I don't know the price

Small bottle of water $3.25

Large 1 litre water not included in package, price forgotten

Cheapest bottle of wine I heard quoted as $42, not sure about per glass, maybe $13-$14

Specialty coffees started at $3.50 for small

Cocktails $14-$15.95

As I said, from memory so they maybe a little off. It might help some.

Simple answer is no.
Just got off Majestic and it is a personal choice, but you are limited to 15 per 6am to 6am.

Just had a look af a sideways inside, heres some pics while i have decent internet.

Had to take them with my tablet, so a bit close, but tgey ars really roomy with heaps of storage in the walk in area behind the desk.

Can you tell us where the entry door is please. We have one of these cabins for next years cruise.

Thanks for the responses, I would consider anything under 200.00 reasonable. Princess docks at Wusongkou Cruise terminal.

Does Princess actually dock here? I know that it says that on the port information, it also has No.1 Baoyang Road, Baoshan district, Shanghai China 201900, which shows as a different spot on Google maps. I am not sure what one to believe.

BTW someone kindly posted the bar drinks menu on FB.

Wish I could find this. Tried searching to no avail. :(

We went through the town, not on a tour. Yes, it has it's resort, but the rest was uninspiring. My view.

Just curious, seems to be a lot of Cruises heading to Hawaii about the same time.

 

Including a few from America.

 

Just wondering if anyone knows a site like the Sydney cruise schedule one for the ports on the way to and including Hawaii?

One thing with this cruise. The weather. You will be cool till you head north a bit, then it will start to warm up, until you head off to NZ, where it is likely to be colder. So take clothes that suit all occasions, and don't be scared about asking for a blanket when on deck.

Don't be suprised when you get to Bora Bora. It's not quite like what you see in photos.

Have a great trip - I didn't want to get off when we did it.

I wonder what the up-sells would be like.

I can say that on the current cruise aboard Sun Princess that happy hour is in the Wheelhouse.

I know that the Sea Princess isn't the Sun. The last time we cruised on the Sea, happy hour was in the Legends Bar, so it could be there also on the Sun. We will be on the Sun next cruise this week, so if I think about while on-board I will let you know for sure.

You can luggage drop still.

'Please do not arrive at the pier prior to 5:30 PM as the terminal will be closed for sanitation and there will be no seating or services available. Guests who arrive at the pier early may drop off their luggage and enjoy the surrounding area. All guests must be checked in by 8:00 PM. '

Well, there must be something going on on the Sun. Just got this email from Princess.

Please be advised that during the current cruise there were elevated case counts of gastrointestinal illness among guests confirmed to have

been caused by norovirus. A comprehensive sanitation program was launched in response, and Sun Princess will undergo a prolonged and

additional disinfection in Brisbane on xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Check-in for your cruise will be delayed until 5:30 PM and your stateroom will

be available shortly thereafter. Please do not arrive earlier than 5:30 PM as the terminal will be closed for sanitation. To minimize terminal

congestion we use a progressive check-in schedule as follows:

5:30 PM - Baja Deck - Cabins on this deck begin with B

6:15 PM - Dolphin & Emerald Decks - Cabins on these decks begin with D & E

7:00 PM - Caribe & Plaza Decks - Cabins on these decks begin with C & P

All guests must be aboard by 8:00 PM. Sun Princess is expected to depart Brisbane at 9:00 PM.

Even Homer Simpson is not this stupid. There might have been no intention to leave the ship, but how could you not realise you were leaving the country.

Sunscreen that doubles as an insect repellent. Look for Bushman's.

If RCI haven't changed their policy for cruises sailing from Australia, the the tip/gratuity is included in the price. They have different drink menus on these cruises.

The drink package also includes everything from the New Zealand ice cream bar.

If you want to see one of the biggest T-bones you will lay your eyes on, go to the Steakhouse, you will be full when you leave. And sooooo nice :D

I got pulled over by the federal police once getting off a ship. "The sniffer dog took a keen interest in your bag. Please come with us."

Went through the basic questioning and then unlocked and opened my bag. They flipped it open and saw my medication that was there, and one fellow said that the dog might have got confused.

They looked at the meds labels, and then checked through my bag to see if there was anything else there, but there was no illicit drugs, just several packets of cigarettes and some cigars. They let me go and even told customs I was right to leave.
