  1. I don't ever remember seeing barbells in the gym - a decent selection of dumbbells but not barbells. Decent selection of Nautilus machines, treadmills and a free weight section with dumbbells and an incline and flat bench. There are also pull up bars and dip stations on the upper deck outside near the basketball court.

  2. I've purchased some Creed perfume in a perfume shop in Grand Cayman that I always visit. I'm pretty sure they also have Acqua di Parma, and a less expensive niche line that I like: Roger et Gallet. Can't think of the name of it but it's on one of the main streets and should be easy to find.

Sounds great - I assumed GC would be the best place to look. Thanks much!

  3. I don't think there's anything walking distance of the port but if you catch the hop on/hop off bus to the Hip Strip there is a great place called The Pork Pit. Scotchies would be my first choice but they are a close second.

  4. One question though... Lucky Scent says one of the notes is patchouli. Can you smell it? I can't do patchouli. Sometimes they say it but I can't really smell it.

I would have never in a million years guessed that there was patchouli in this one. It must be a tiny amount as I can't detect any.

What I get is a crisp salted grapefruit opening followed up with a vetiver dry down that still retains some of the salty aspects of the top notes.

  5. Given the current circumstance with Zika mosquitoes, I will be using all unscented products when at the beach or in areas where mosquitoes are usually present. Why put on scents that could attract them?

I live in Texas - mosquitos everywhere. I don't know that they are that attracted to scents honestly. At any rate, I'm not going to change my lifestyle to avoid a possible mild cold.

  6. That's so funny that you mentioned the Fraiche version - that's the only one that I've smelled... after I got the Fraiche version I'm curious about the others. Are they just stronger?

Not at all..very much a different fragrance even though they share some commonality. Honestly, I really like the Fraiche version but the original is the best. As close to the perfect scent as I've found.

  7. Man oh man do I ever love Terre d'Hermes - it's been one of my staples for years. If you like the original you've got to get ahold of the Eau Tres Fraiche version too. That was my summer scent last year...it's amazing. Another one to try if you like TdH is Red Vetyver by Montale.

Lucky Scent is great - I've ordered lots of samples from them and a few full bottles as well.

  8. Exactly. There are many annoying things people do that you can't help but notice. I'm sure no one knew or cared that I had my door open on my last cruise. People just have to find something to complain about.

I was in the proximity of a cabin leaving their door open. Until they were located and told to keep door shut our cabin wouldn't cool off and once they closed it the problem was solved - so yeah...it does affect other people. Not that you seem to really care.

  9. Virgin Island Water by Creed is heavenly! I use it sometimes in the winter here in Seattle for a mini vacation in one spritz! Expensive but so worth it!

Also Demeter Salt Air layers with it amazingly!

I LOVE Virgin Island Water but the longevity is just horrible on my skin. I have that problem with most Creeds - Green Irish Tweed and Aventus being the exception.

I just discovered the new Dior Homme Cologne and think it's going to be an amazing summer scent!

  10. It says, "Air Conditioned Keep Door Closed". I see some room for interpretation there, sorry if you don't. Whereas, smoking is prohibited on balconies at all times and they would get a nice little fine to prove it. Don't think karma would be in their favor.

I couldn't care less if a smoker gets fined...it would just be nice to see the inconsiderate people ruin each other's trip instead of inflicting their selfishness on everyone else. And wouldn't it be hilarious if the steward smelled smoke in your cabin and YOU got hit with the fine!!

  11. It's not ignorance. Although, I'm sure most people don't choose to learn the mechanics of a ship's air conditioning. lol Now you're just being silly. It's up to Carnival to make the rules and if they post that it's a rule and not just a suggestion I will abide. What about all the people who still smuggle booze and smoke on their balconies? Why don't you move on to bigger issues, and stop worrying about whether or not I sleep with a nice ocean breeze.

There's a sign posted on the door that says "KEEP DOOR CLOSED" - how much more black and white can it be? Just like too many, you just don't care about how your actions affect other people besides yourself. Maybe karma will take care of it and you'll end up next to a balcony smoker.

  12. I wouldn't keep my door open because I don't want the humidity in my room and I wouldn't want to screw up someone elses air conditioning. I can see by all your post that you are going to do it regardless of what any one says so I just wish you a great cruise and hope my cabin in no where near yours.

It's amazing to me how selfish some people are. I'm with you - hope I'm never unlucky enough to cruise near the OP.

  13. I'm not sure how this sign isn't cut and dry..."Air Conditioned. Keep Door Closed"

It doesn't say keep door closed if you are running the AC - it says to keep the door closed. It's pretty well documented that it affects the surrounding cabins as well as yours. ImageUploadedByForums1454510112.577604.jpg.804e99262b047697549dc7b3ce34007e.jpg
