  1. First time using Michaels Club first time since sky suites included. Anca was delightful and helpful. No need to ever go to or call guest relations with the service she offers. We don't like to sit in that room (with no windows). We did appreciate stopping by to help ourselves to the large selection to cold drinks. Anca is fabulous for anything you might need. She is much more effective than a butler would be. Having this service now available reduced our butler service to afternoon tea and breakfast room service. Enjoy!

  2. Three or more people were medically evacuated from the recent silhouette trans and I know one happened on the current sailing on the eclipse. Amazing that some think insurance is only for canceling. The cost for these folks could be frightening if they don't have insurance. Rethink if you don't think anything could happen to you or your loved ones. An acquaintance got taken off ship in Aruba that cost them $40,000 and couldn't leave the island until payment was arranged... Something to consider.

  3. The advertising has been that local foods would be picked up at the ports of call to offer "locally sourced" food options. Never happened, asked others, never seen it either. Just wish Celebrity would get there act together to deliver on the expectations they establish. We are elite plus and love celebrity but don't like the game being played.

FYI- lawn club grill also dropped in quality. We had one main dining room lunch and I won't even begin on that subject. We appreciate Luminae and realize how lucky we are to travel this way. The main dining room experience has slipped so much in the last three years. I won't even compare to before that!

  4. Come on Celebrity! Luminae has been open for over a year and not one thing has been offered that was locally sourced. Three cruises we've sailed since last April. April 2015 we were told once the ship gets overseas. Last October 2015 in Europe, nothing and now the silhouette transatlantic.

Give your clients some credit and stop making promises that don't deliver.

By the folks, third time and the quality is already slipping. It occurred to me that Luminaes food is the quality of main dining room years ago. The comment Celebrity once made about trying to achieve a Michelin star is beyond a bad joke. We were served what was supposed to be a NY strip that was terrible. Dry chicken breast one meal and barely any seasonings.

How about three lunch menus for 9 sea days and embarkation day?! Really?

The service and atmosphere continue to be a draw but the food quality this last sailing was concerning.

  5. 45-55 mph winds with seas 12-15 feet. Rainy and very " an affair to remember"! The ship is amazingly steady though not many passengers seem to up and around. After 7 beautiful days of crossing we were due. Tomorrow we get to Lisbon. The eight seas days are going so quickly. What a relaxing voyage!

  6. Onboard enjoying luminae now. Breakfast daily, exceptional! Lunch on port days. Apparently there are only three lunch menus that rotate. ( not nearly enough on a trans) dinner is lovely. We still enjoy the lawn club grill but no longer dine in the other specialty restaurants because the atmosphere and service is so great in luminae. Enjoy!
