We love a certain mini-suite on the Grand class Princess ships. The balcony is so much bigger and curves around a bit to the back. We spend a lot of time on there. Plus, like the extra room and couch. And the bath tub so you don't have to have that shower curtain hugging you.

So agree with you.

As I said before, I like sausage on my pizza. So, I end up getting a plain cheese pizza. Still, very good.
-
I would LOVE a cheese and sausage pizza!

Yes lots of stuff to kill time. Like eating.
Or having a drink sitting outside and looking for new/old friends.

Our favorite ships are the Crown, Ruby and the Emerald. Plus it's sister ships. I hope they always have one of them in the Caribbean in the winter. Can't wait for this coming January.

Remove.as is put in some wall lighting and free up space on table not unbolt.
I like this idea. Need the table space, but also the light.

I guess we're all different. If you're not claustrophobic and don't mind not seeing outside day or not, then go for the inside. I'd rather wait a year to get a balcony cabin.

Has to be a balcony or mini-suite for us. I'm to claustrophobic. Even if it's chilly, just have something warmer to put on.

I think a lot of people think the drink package applies to only alcoholic drinks. We use it for the good coffees, soda, and bottled water. And a glass of wine with supper. It's not just sitting at the bar all day. Everyone has to figure out what they drink all day.

As an aside my friend declared he was a diabetic on our last cruise and when we arrived in the cabin a yellow sharps box had been provided by the cruise line. It was labelled with our cabin number. I assume they were protecting staff because we never asked for it and he does not inject. This will be ok for on board operations.
Regards John
Same here. If it isn't already in your cabin, just ask for it.

Exactly - that was the point of my initial post.
We only wished that one pool out of the 4 onboard would have had a more festive atmosphere.
Never did we want a strolling rock band to roam around disturbing all areas of the ship.
We respect the fact that some would rather find a quite area in which to read or have private conversation, and this expectation should certainly be guaranteed onboard
Just like a little fun should also be guaranteed in other areas as well
I wish there was a "like" button sometimes. I agree so much with what was just said.

I wasn't insulting. Sorry you took it that way.
-
Well that's very gracious of you.. LOL
LOL. Just being serious. A lot of my friends are seniors.

My husband and I agree with the OP. when we first started cruising we were in our early to mid forties. Loved Princess then. Now it seems like most the people on Princess should be on HAL. We're to old for Carnival, but it seems to young for Princess. All of our cruises have been on Princess, except one on Celebrity. In January, we'll be on our 10th and 11th cruise on Princess. It's not that we mind having Senior's on board with us. Just want things more lively.
-
I'm with you.
There was a time when you met your fellow cruisers and had a nice chat. Now it's all about meeting the captain and crew members. UGG.
I stick with the short sailaway get togethers now.
Sorry Sillyjilly. We had a nice time doing both.
-
My husband has organized several meet and greets. He has had the Captain, Cd and others attend. It is always a nice way to meet your friends from the roll call.

So Shredie - it's impossible for you to believe that educated, successful, classy & well-dressed people may appreciate a rock-n-roll or dance band playing poolside along with some fun CD directed games ?
We are out there, and our demographic is the future of Princess cruises
Again, we've been traveling on Princess for over 15 years, and it seems the line is becoming more and more conservative as time goes on.
I believe they're losing the market segmentation between Carnival and Holland America, which is not good for them long term.
Scott, I so agree with you. We love Princess, but are in our low to mid 50's.Also like the music that is from our time. Don't like to listen to something from before our time. We are not Seniors yet. Just above going on going on Carnival. If you don't like Princess, move onto Holland.
-
Do they still serve Shepard's Pie? Sorry this is off topic.
-
I think we like the mid, grand class the best.
-
I'm with Elkhorn20. I love live music, but if Princess needs to go with a DJ by the pool, that's fine. No heavy metal, but some good rock and country from the 70's thru the 90's. We're in our low to mid 50's. To old for carnival, but Princess seems to be catering to the 65 and plus years. Otherwise, we love Princess.

We rented a bungalow on our last stop there. Loved it! Plan on doing it again when we are there next January.

My husband and I have a sleep number bed at home. I like my side a lot softer than he does. I try to get a pillow top for my side.

First inside cabin - Will I survive?

We have to have a balcony. For one thing, I'd be to claustrophobic. Just love to get up in the morning and sit out on the balcony with a cup of coffee. We'd rather take less cruises and spend more if we have too. Usually get a mini-suite.
