You're right, I've been here for 2 decades.  How is that being a troll? 

I have not got a direct dog in this fight, but I have 2 friends who have been affected by this. 

Additionally, I cruise a lot and want to see how NCL addresses this (legitimate) concern from its passengers.  Based on what I've seen thus far, I will definitely NOT cruise with NCL again unless they step up their customer service. 

Instead, it seems that they think they can just ignore everyone's complaints and it'll all pass.

NCL:

Is anyone from your customer service dept going to reply to these posts?  You need to deal with this in a proper manner.

Why should the insurance company pay this?  It's unreasonable for NCL to do this.  $300 for airfare changes?  That's not enough, if someone is flying business class.  And to go from 5 ports to 3, that's not why most people go to Europe. 

I hope that NCL does the reasonable thing and allow those who wish to cancel to get a full refund, and make them whole on airfare, too.

I hope I’m not too late in replying. I have done many CTs and this one was not good. The food itself was good and plentiful, but an hour standing in the galley before the sit down portion was really hard, especially after a busy day in port. 

Everyone also agreed that the Sous Chef was extremely difficult to understand. 

Last of all, you get one glass of wine. The other CTs I’ve done had wine pairings. That was disappointing. 

If you like RCCL, Radiance or Explorer are doing the Alaskan cruises. If you are looking for a Promenade, Flowrider, etc, Explorer is the easy choice. Radiance is a bit smaller and with a few less bells and whistles.

To a great extent, you can set the active as you wish. At least some of this is totally up to you.

Actually, this is not really the answer I wanted. I believe that of course, you are correct to a certain extent, but some cruises do offer more to do than others.

I've been on a cruise to Alaska and recall it can be slow paced on the ship. This time I want to take a friend who's considerably younger. Neither of us are into huge nightlife, but we also want to have some fun, especially at sea.

So to compare- Oasis class on RCCL would be ideal, but I don't think they sail in 2017 to AK. Carnival is out bc it's too crazy, and HAL Amsterdam is out because it's too relaxed.

Am I being like Goldilocks? Or is this doable?

Thanks for your reply; however, while I saw that sticky and looked, I couldn't see the spreadsheet I was thinking about.

First, I apologize if this has been posted, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Second, I would like to request quick replies, because I have to let my TA know by tomorrow which cabin I want.

I'm booked on Celebrity Infinity in an Aqua Class cabin, #9106.

I can upgrade to a suite, #6123.

Has anyone stayed in these cabins specifically?

I thought at one time there was something like a spreadsheet which listed all the cabins and the information for each, but I could not find it. So maybe I dreamed it.

It's really difficult to get hold of Rupees in the UK and from what I've read here it's illegal to bring them in.....

 

I always bring local currency with me so am stumped as to what to do..... we stop at 4 ports of call in India....

I've read it's illegal to bring them in as well, but I just returned from India and changed planes in Munich. I was able to exchange euros into rupees at an exchange place in the airport, so I felt it must have been legal; otherwise, they would not have had the currency available. I got only a couple hundred dollars' worth.

By the way, I heard (not sure how true it is) that you cannot exchange your rupees back into western currency unless you have about $100 worth, so spend it when you can.

Tipping is amazingly easy there. Not expected, but you'll probably find that you want to tip because the people are so genuinely helpful. Also, it's generally expected and much appreciated to give 10 rupees to people when you take their photos, or if you want to donate something to people who are truly in need, that's the general amount.

I hope you enjoy India. I have been back 2 weeks and still think about it constantly!

We were flew to Uluru in October a few days after leaving the Century. We spent four days at the Ayers Rock Resort. We had been to Australia before, but both agree that the next time we visit "the land down Under" we will spent a week at Uluru. Just found the aboriginal culture fascinating.

This is why they make chocolate and vanilla! I just wasn't a big fan, but I can certainly understand why somebody would like it. Especially if you don't have it in your own backyard.

Try contacting the cruise director that was on your cruise. He/she has access to the background music systems and might be able to help. Be shure to give the CD the sail dates. Good luck. Norman

Every time we are in celebrity, they play 'Gipsy' by Shekira, it stays in my mind for ages afterwards and I associate it with my lovely holidays every time I hear it (in fact I play it at home when I have cruise withdrawals!)

I don't mind you piggy-backing at all! I'm actually kinda glad I'm not the only one who is trying to get the name of a song. Could you just kick yourself for not doing it while on board? I know I can!
