  1. I've already made the booking yes, and this is the part where we have to fill out the Guest Information after logging into our booking. I looked the entire list from top to bottom. All I can see is United States Minor Outlining Islands which I presume is not USA. I've taken a screenshot, but not sure how I can post it?x4nbef.jpg

    I hope this works.

I am sure my eyes are missing something. So any help would be appreciated. And it was not default as well nor at the top of the list.

That's really weird. When I go into the page I see United States below United Kingdom and above United States Minor Outlining Islands. Could be just a temporary glitch in the program with your computer. Try again tomorrow. If that doesn't work, call Princess.

    Good luck.

  2. I was on a cruise in November and filled out the Future Cruise Deposit form purchasing 2 FCDs for myself. I wasn't checking my email while on the cruise and when I got home found out they had only put in one FCD. I called Princess and explained that I wanted to purchase the other FCD I had requested, and after being put on hold for over 25 minutes, I hung up. Oh well, so much for customer relations!!

  3. I just used the Princess transfer from LAX to the ship and there was no mention of a specific meeting time. As I was going down to baggage claim, I spotted the Princess reps and she just noted my name and said another rep would be in a certain area in baggage claim. Got my luggage, found the rep, and was taken to a bus. Maybe because I came in the early afternoon, it was not as regulated.

  4. I just want to vent on an incident on the Grandeur that I found annoying.

First let me say that I had booked a Grand Suite and loved the cabin! Included with the suite perks is breakfast in Giovanni's. We only tried this once and were so turned off, never went back. First I asked for soy milk and the waiter indicated they didn't have any at that venue and someone would have to go get it. It would take several minutes. Okay, I had no problem with waiting. We then got a cup of coffee and ordered our breakfast. Breakfast came and it was just okay, but was never offered a coffee refill and never did get the soy milk.

    Okay, I'm done now.

  5. Glad it was a good one for you! :)

It's been a long while since we've cruised on Grandeur.

Seems I read the "hamburger grill" area had been moved.

    Where is it located now?

I was on the Grandeur for the last October Canada/New England cruise. Loved the ship. Unfortunately the hamburger set up is now on the steam tables in the Windjammer. Didn't look too appealing, so I didn't try any. The Park Café was very nice and I did try the infamous beef sandwich. Very yummy!!

  6. I have just returned from a Royal Caribbean cruise on the Grandeur in a suite. They did take PART of the Viking Crown Lounge for the Concierge Lounge for suites, but there was still plenty of space available, so I don't think Skywalkers will be totally reserved for suites. The free happy hours in the CL definitely saved me a bundle on my shipboard account. I used the exclusive theatre seating perk one time and found the seats that were reserved for suites were not the best -- way in the back.

The Princess suite perks I like is the free laundry and mini bar setup. Of course now that I'm Princess Elite, those perks are available to me in any class cabin.

  7. I've started bring the Coffee*mate "to-go" bottles of liquid creamer concentrate. The bottles are smaller & you can use less because they are concentrated flavored creamer.

I'm thinking of bringing a couple of those CoffeeMate to-go's on my next cruise. Have never tried them. Did you like the flavor and did it require more than one squirt per cup?

It seems to be a much easier alternative to the International Delight pods, which I like.

  8. You will get your basics (Earl Grey, Green, Chamomile, etc.), but they aren't anything special. I usually bring some teas from home. A few tea bags in your suit case do not take up much room, especially ginger tea for rougher sea days.

Does the ginger tea help with motion sickness. My sister takes the ginger tablets, but since she's a big tea drinker, supplementing with the ginger tea might be even better.

  9. nope. the vanity/desk is it. I don't remember if there is an outlet by the divider that holds the drawers and mini fridge(cooler) but I suppose if there was you could use the floor to ceiling mirror over there. the ones for the TV and lights are NOT easily reachable.

honestly the vanity is fine. the mirror is lighted.

Thanks so much for the info. The problem I have is that I'm sailing with my sister and she sleeps later than I do. I was hoping not to have to blow dry my hair right near the bed. Oh well, she'll just have to get up and att em!!

  10. True. The bottles you pay corkage fee on at check-in (at the pier) receive a special sticker, so if taken to any DR, there is no further charge.

Not True. The two free bottles per stateroom (assuming double occupancy) WILL attract a corkage fee if brought to any DR (unless your waiter doesn't notice or lets it slide). I'm just stating policy. If you open and consume the free bottles in the cabin, there is of course no further charge.

Also, any partially finished bottle can be left with waiter in the DR and they will bring it back out the next night, or feel free to take it back to the cabin.

On any bottle, once the corkage fee is charged, it is never charged again for returning to the DR with a partially empty bottle.

You're right! I just looked at the official policy. I guess on my last cruise, I lucked out with waiters looking the other way:)

  11. You can take a bottle (750 ml or smaller) for each of the first two adults in a cabin. For these, there is no charge, unless you bring them to the MDR to drink. Then there is a $15 corkage fee.

You can bring additional bottles, but are charged $15 per bottle (again 750 ml or smaller). For these there is no additional charge for bring them to the MDR.

All bottles should be in your carry on.

I don't think they charge corkage when you bring them to the MDR. You get charged the corkage on the overage when you board. The two allotted bottles can be brought to the MDR or any specialty restaurant without charge.

  12. If you are sailing solo (paying the solo rate which is what it would cost for two per cabin) how do they work the AIBP freebie? Do you get one and lose out on the other, or can you get one package and one OBC? Same question with the specialty dining promotion -- one dinner for two or two dinners?
