  1. We are spending several days in Lisbon prior to embarkation and am wondering if anyone has experience with the GIRA bicycle rental system in Lisbon.  I am thinking this might be a good way to see the Parque Nacoes as well as the Tile Museum and possibly get up to a miradoura or 2.  We are staying in Alfama amd I know that area is not bike friendly, but any info is useful.  Thanks

  2. We are considering a first time cruise for family member with severe food allergies (peanuts and eggs).  How well does RC handle this?  I have been impressed with Carnival's offers to preorder meals and have seen Celebrity ask about allergies prior to servings.  I assume all lines pay lip service, but does Royal do anything special since they are family oriented?  Thanks!

  3. Are there steam and saunas in the Edge Fitness area available to all cruisers?  Not planning to purchase a spa package, but enjoy an occasional steam and sauna.  Or is there a day package available?

    Thanks for reply.  Leaving soon!

  4. I saw a post (facebook group possibly) that addressed ways to enjoy a few drinks without purchasing the Drinks package.  There was a photo of a promotion that offered a specific number of beverages for a discounted price.  Is this promo ongoing and what can you tell me about it?  Can it be used over a period of days?  Thanks.  We will bring our 2 bottles of wine on and enjoy cocktails in the casino, but would love to experience the specialty drinks in Eden or the Martini Bar.

I am supposed to be on this cruise as well.  I am hoping to change it.  Sadly, my booking is through the casino, so that cannot happen.

I had a casino booking on a canceled cruise in November.  Thought I was just "SOL", but the casino dept reached out to me by email and phone to help me rebook.  It was a rebook for April 2021, so I may be in the same place.  You might give them a call.

The best part is that any alcohol you buy on board or in ports during the first leg can be consumed on the 2nd leg...

Hmmmm, that is not what the guidelines say.  Have you been able to pick up your purchases at the end of week 1?  That would be so nice.

  7. Thanks to all of you who responded!  I was worried that there would be so much FCC$$$$ floating around that there would be no seating available.  Patience....will watch my planner on a less frequent basis.  Have B2B on the Vista 11/7 & 11/14.  First week with husband & 2nd week with sisters.  Have reservation for Steakhouse first night on both of those.  And if you have not eaten at JiJi's, let me highly recommend it!

  8. We will be on the Panorama January 31 and are very excited.  I have not been able to schedule the Steakhouse for any time during the cruise.  Booked Bonsai for our anniversary night, but would like to get a nice bottle of wine and great steak on our first night.  Does anyone know the email for Steakhouse or specialty dining on Panorama?  Thinking a reachout might help.

    Thanks!

  9. Along this line.....my cruise planner says 30% off, $51 each.  We are leaving from Galveston and 5 nights.  No drink package day 1 (embarkation) so I am thinking we would pay for 4 days.  They say $601.  I know there is an 18% gratuity, but can tax bring what should be about $488 to $600?  Yikes!  Is there tax on the single purchase drinks?

  10. On the Vista in January, in an inside on deck 7, midship.  Have been offered 3242 (obstructed oceanview) at the elevators for $96 more.  I am tempted to take it because of the extra room, but fearful of the noise from elvators and lobby.  Do you have experience with this area?  Would you take the offer?  Thanks!
