  1. Right, I was picking all five perks until I saw 500. added. I realized it was the gratuities. My husband doesn't drink & I very little. Uncheck that! We normally don't do specialty restaurants, but for only 33.00 we checked that. I wish tips were included in the perks, but the gov. taxes & fees adds up to that that we don't pay.

  2. Aaah this was my question - I know it is near Falmouth but I wanted to ask if it would be foolish to try do it from Ocho Rios!

Glad you enjoyed it - it sounds so interesting!

If it’s a ship excursion they will get you back in time. No excursions are showing up at this time. It is in Montego Bay which is 45 minutes away from Falmouth & an hour from Ocho Rios so you would have to allow for that time plus more.

  3. It does depend which NCL ship you go home on. The mega ships, like Breakaway, Escape,Getaway havens are much better, they have their own restaurant( which is great) own lounge and a much bigger courtyard. The smaller ships that have haven does not have own restaurant or lounge and the courtyard is small.

The Escape. Ok, courtyard or spa?

  4. Debating switching from Celebrity cruise to NCL Haven. Our favorite is Celebrity, but the Haven has got it beat! We want something special for our 30th cruise. It is expensive, but we believe we're worth it!

  5. I would push for a Suite over Aqua class on X, the room and the benefits are better. I cannot comment on the Haven (?) on NCL but a suite on them would be fine as well.

We have had Celebrity Suite which was great a while back, but now they changed the room. The Haven, even though it's NCl, is more private which would be different.

  6. I'm of the opinion that you should upgrade your ship and not your cabin. Have you checked out Azamara or some of the luxury cruise lines?

Looked into them, but we don't drink for it to be included plus we love the Caribbean.

  7. On Celebrity, Aqua is a cabin class of verandah cabin, not a suite. The Reflection initially had Aqua suites, but they were changed to Sky suites. You might add MSC Yacht Club to your list. EM

We thought of it, but our neighbor was just on the Seaside & did not like it.

  8. We did a b2b in a Celebrity suite on the Infinity years ago. We kept the same cabin for both. The butler was great who wanted to run my bath water & unpack for us. We had dinner in our dining room, got a message looking out the floor to ceiling windows & had our picture taken there. It went through the Panama Canal & it was so hot outside to watch that we went to our room & watched it on the big screen tv. It was a memory that we will never forget on all our cruises!

  9. The best thing is to book 6:00 or 8:30 dinner, no wait & they have your table ready. We did not like waiting with a pager in a crowd & then they rush you to eat to place more people. We eat early at home, but we like to take our time & watch the sunset with a drink. We always book 8:30 dining & then walk around the deck, shows no big deal!
