Hi, we are booked in November 2016 on a 19 day partial Canal transit. We are now booked in a mini suite aft and now after reading all of your answers I was wondering if C226 forward would be comfortable while cruising north back to Los Angeles. We did an 18 day same cruise on the Island 6-7 years ago but we were on Dolphin aft. I must wear a patch for seasickness but it always works for me. Has anyone found this cabin too far forward for comfort?
Thanks for any wisdom you can impart. I have had 2 surgeries and a bad infection over the last 1 1/2 year and am so looking forward to this cruise.

Hello all you informed persons. We will be in Juneau next May and there are 4adults in our party, one can not walk too far so will have a walker. We want to see Mendenhall Glacier and some of the area. Looking at the shore excursions offered by Princess we are leaning toward renting a car and getting around by ourselves. Does this sound doable for us? Thanks for any info you can give us.

My DH and I have been on the Grand 3 times and are booked for Alaska on her next year. She is a nice ship, nice size and less people. Once you get used to the staircase issue, no problems. Hope you have a great cruise.

We also use a wipe when we walk in the hallways as my DH has balance problems. So far we have been fortunate and have never become I'll. we also use the Baggie trick for the remotes, always wipe the handles of everything, hangers, lamp switches and anything else we can think of. I have one I use on the table and condiments in the buffet if we go there. And , of course, wash, wash, wash and wash again!:)

We bought Monk disinfectant wipes for our last cruise. Ordered from Amazon and comes in an 80 count package. I just took some in a plastic container as the packaging is bulky. The wipes measure 7X8. Specifically notes that they are able to disinfect Noro. Hopes this helps.

Sounds like she won't make the trip the best for you, just my opinion. If you are already having issues it sounds like it will be never ending.

Thanks for posting this article. Makes me realize what a benefit our cruising monies makes in other peoples lives. I have always enjoyed getting to know a little about these friendly staff members.

Hi all of you cruise experts, does anyone know which dining room on the Grand Princess is traditional and which is for anytime dining? Thanks.

Thanks, looks great.

Hello all, my DH can walk for a short distance and can climb a few stairs. On the cruise ship he will be using his scooter but we would like to see whales in Juneau. Harv & Marvs website suggest that he would not be a good fit for their tours. Does anyone else have ideas. He can go without his scooter if he doesn't have to walk far.
Thanks for any help you can give us.

Hi all, can anyone tell me how long it will take to board our ship in Whittier as our train gets into port around 5:30pm. We are Platinum and our relatives are 1st time sailors with Princess. Can we all board together and will we be on board to dine in the Crown Grill by 8pm? Thanks
-
Hi, as part of our suite perks we have been given a free dinner at a speciality restaurant for our first night. As our train from Denali does not arrive in Whittier until 5:30pm I don't feel that we will want to dine in the CC that evening. Will we be allowed to use this benefit on another night?
Thanks for any info you can give us.

We aren't Elite but we will be cruising in a suite next year. Can we also exchange our bar set up?
-
We are doing DB4 which has 2 nights in the Denali Lodge and 1 night in McKinley Princess. We wanted it all planned out for us.
Hope you have a great time. I am excited and we don't leave until May 2015!

I too have had trouble for 2 days and when I called Princess technical support I was told that it was only my problem as it worked fine for them! :(

I noticed that there is a section on the menu called American Classics that featured meatloaf and other comfort foods. There is always New York steak and salmon on the available anytime menu.
IMHO you would all find the MDR more enjoyable than the buffet. Have all the fun you can!

I did not receive an answer to my email but 2 days later upon checking my booking I noticed a $50pp credit. Happy!

Just found that my DH and I have a Goodwill credit of $50 each for our sailing on the Grand Princess next year. Thanks Princess for listening to our complaints about your old/new flyer's promises!
-
I emailed guest relations yesterday and have not received a reply as of yet. I printed the flyer and noted that I felt that a promise is a promise!
-
So happy that you will not miss this special cruise!
-
The free unlimited internet is still noted on the website and I posted that on the Princess Facebook site. Promises should be honored especially when they are placed in print.
If they promise this and don't honor it what will disappear next, free laundry, mini bar set up? Guess we'll find out.

Definitely looking at 2015 and still has same message. Thanks for your ideas.

Not on HAL but on Princess, cruise showing available but nothing showing on cruise tours. Thanks

We are booked on a Cruisetour, sailings show availability and price. Think they are adjusting hotel prices?
