I would not want US Customs to find honey when you return at the end of the cruise; not only will they take it away but then they are going to search the rest of your luggage for other items that are not allowed. My friend works for USDA on the west coast and they are very concerned about bugs that could desamate our food supply.

Make sure you find out exactly what is a dophin swim. Our swim? was standing chest deep water and the dolphins approached us and we touched them, Other "dolphin swims" you get to go in the water and interact with them; more like swimming. The cost of the two types can be significant

We have been to Cinque Terre before Rick Steves told the world about and just about ruined it for the unknown places Americans never visit.

Please post your first choice for an excursion off an RCCL ship anywhere in the world. Ours was the trip to the top of the isle of Capri, Italy.

I love Tabby Cakes name

Speak to your head waiter a few nights before and he will put you in touch with the pastry department to make the cake; dark covered cake with white names works best in the photos you will take

Possible New Years Eve cruise in 2014

If you like to dine in the MDR with strangers at the start of the cruise and your really have a great time with your new found friends at the end; one idea we have have done in the past four cruises is to have a special cake made up the last night of the cruise. We always have the pastry chef put the names of the people from the table and surprise everyone that night. The cost is no more than $15.00 and it is a great way of remembering everyone at the table.

There are many beach side restaurants. One of our favorites is a very casual one that has swing chairs for seats, basic pub food put great people watching and the ocean right across the street

To those who have cruised to the Greek Isles which one was your favorite and why?
-
Those who have left from Baltimore in the late fall or the winter when were you able to sit outside after the ship left port? I will assume you would have to reach the Florida coast.

Over the years on 13 cruises we have run into the problem of sitting with others that were just not right for us. DW, DH and DS. Every time the MDR made arrangements to move us; sometimes ot took on to two days. RCCL does not want unhappy diners because if you are unhappy with the table arrangements; you are more than likely to leave a smaller tip to the wait staff.

What has been your favorite excursion off a cruise ship?

Try the Courtyard by Marriott, close to all shops, right on the beach

What is a labadoozie? Sounds like a new kind of breed of dog

If you snorkel trunk Bay has one of the only underwater sea trails that you follow right from the beach. If you are lucky the water will be crystal clear with plenty of fish to see

On our last two cruises Oasis and Allure we asked to be at a large table at the MDR for dinner. My wife and I along with our 22 DS like to meet other people that way. This being our 12th and 13th cruise we generally do not keep in touch with our tablemates after the cruise. Turns out these two cruises we met two families from the UK who were one of the nicest families we even met on or off the ship. Now we intend to visit both of them in 2015 in England. Facebook does a great job of keeping you in touch with people around the world.

First, let your DDs find their own friends on board. Some teens will hate you if you push them to hard to join a group as soon as you board. My son who is now 22 has been on 13 cruises with us and always found new friends to hang out with. Be aware that other teens or older 20 somethings will be drinking alcohol even though the age is 21 on the ship. RCCL does enforce the 1 AM limit for teens. If your DDs make good judgement at home you should have nothing to worry about but be aware teens that age love to push the limits at times.

If you are snorkeling you normally wear fins that cover your feet. Also when your are in the water you are told not to touch the coral with your feet or hands; it can kill the coral.

Has anyone sailed on the Jade? We are thinking of a European cruise out of Venice in 2014 to the Greek islands. We have only been on RCCL and Carnival ships.

I have lived in the Baltimore area for the past 30 years; 3-6 inches will not **** the roads down. It says it will start around 10 am so you should be fine. Where are you leaving from?
