  1. For the life of me, I can't figure out where to prepay the gratuities in my account.

We're sailing in just over a month, and I just wanted to get them out of the way while I was thinking about it.

Can someone point out the obvious to me?

    Thanks!

  2. So after climbing out of the water and back onto the catamaran I was truly sad that we had to go back to the ship. The older kids and hubby would have loved to stay and snorkel some more too. Even though we were having a good time on the Breeze, the catamaran was better ;)

Someday, when money is not a huge issue, you can charter a catamaran in the Virgin Islands for a week with a captain and a cook. Then your biggest decision of the day would be "Do we snorkel before lunch or after lunch today?" Or both.

Best vacation I ever had, although I do love a good cruise! It's spendy, but so much fun...we took a group of 6 on a 60' catamaran that slept 10 people. Great food, open bar, blue skies, clear water, and a different beach to anchor off every night. Aaaahhhh.....

  3. I made a booking this past Monday for Miracle 14 February. Paid in full.

I just tried to pull it up to see if FTTF was available, and it tells me there is a problem accessing my booking.

Is it just me, or maybe a CCL site glitch?

Because you know, 11pm on a Saturday is the perfect time for a slight panic attack:eek:

  4. I filled out the the early saver form Monday morning. Yes, I know they are swamped and the email said to give them 7 days but I'm curious to who has received their OBC and when did u send in the form?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

I filled mine out Wednesday evening and got confirmation Thursday morning before 9am.

I have no idea why it went so quickly for me.

  5. We used VIV on an NCL cruise 2 years ago and my husband and kids enjoyed it. They did the cave tubing and zip lining combo.

Unfortunately, I missed that port entirely due to a bad cold...I quarantined myself for the day so I wouldn't have to miss snorkeling in Cozumel.

  6. I was telling my sister about FTTF today, still trying to get her to join us on this cruise. I told her I mostly bought it because we're flying in on a red eye that morning, and will be tired, and I was afraid if I had to lug my carry on all over the ship I'd be crabby or forget it somewhere.

She said it sounded fabulous, and wished it were available on cruises she had taken.

I can hardly wait for April to try it out!

  7. My worst cruise was an old Premier Big Red Boat cruise. Small ship, 3 nights to private island and Nassau.

This was my husband's first cruise ever. We had an outside cabin, but had the very front cabin on the ship. There was a queen sized lower berth, and an upper berth that raised up to the ceiling.

He was very much looking forward to the private island, where he could snorkel, windsurf and try out a Hobie Cat. At that time, you had to pre-purchase vouchers to use as cash on the private island, which we did.

We got to the private island, and the seas were choppy, but we were still able to tender in and out. However, all the water based activities were cancelled due to high surf. It was overcast, so my husband headed to the bar and used the vouchers to purchase scotch.

Back on board, we pulled up anchor, and the seas were getting choppier. It turns out we were on the edge of a tropical storm and had 12-15' seas. The poor little ship had no stabilizers to speak of, and being the front cabin, our room really moved! The latch on the upper berth broke, and spent a good deal of time lowering and raising on its own, loudly. We were both very seasick--my scotch infused husband moreso than I. Our cabin steward was very nice and brought him all kinds of saltine crackers, but he spent that night on the floor.

I had to make my way up to the purser's desk to cash some travellers checks so we could tip everyone. I was grabbing the railing in the hall, and the floor would pretty much drop from below my feet, and then slam back up under them. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I was told only 10% of the ship made it to dinner that night.

Somewhere in the middle of the night the seas leveled off, but it certainly was a night to remember.

The prepaid vouchers we bought for the private island had to be mailed back to Premier Cruise Lines. I honestly don't know that we ever got a refund...I don't remember--it has been at least 20 years.

I didn't get my husband on another cruise for many years--not until we sailed on the Baltic when we lived overseas. But he has been a few times since, and has learned that the big ships with the stabilizers are much, much better!
