The all inclusive hasn't been dropped on the ship yet. I believe it doesn't go away until Sept something. As I booked & sailed in August and it was still all inclusive.

I'm guessing no one has switched over the code for prepaying yet. They should have though.

Where are you seeing this cruise as all-inclusive? I purchased the oceanview yesterday for Sept. 9th 2019 and it was not.

I just checked mine going on Sky end of September. Was not all inclusive when I booked. I added drink package as perk. I was charged 20.50. Is this correct or should it have been $14.95?

You were overcharged and need to call customer service about it.

  3. It is not currently being sold as an all inclusive trip. Packages must be purchased separately like I did. When you go to prepay the gratuities it charges you the all inclusive price $20.50 per day not $14.95 per day. You already are charged to pay for with the additional service fees (drink package, etc) separately when you pay for the cruise. For those that purchased it as a cuba cruise prior to June 5th could have purchased it all inclusive. But all cuban cruises were cancelled after that point and some cruise lines offered a 50% discount or refund of pre purchased fares. Tip rate should have been adjusted after june 5th.

  4. Just curious who has taken a cruise on the rerouted Norwegian Sun (rerouted from original Cuba itinerary to other ports)? The original cruise to Cuba was all inclusive. I booked a Sept. rerouted cruise going to the bahamas. Charge for tips is $20.50 per day for the ocean view cabin. Norwegian website and everything I could find on the internet said $14.95 per day. I did call Norwegian and after about 20 minutes on hold I was told that they determined it was a mistake and they would have it fixed in a couple of days. I am just wondering how many people have been over charged for tips on their cruise since the rerouting occurred?

  5. We rent a car locally in central Florida for 1 day @ $39 and drive to within an hour of Miami where rooms are cheaper and a decent room can be had for under $75. In the morning we turn in the car at a small Budget office near the ship and get their free shuttle. Easy. Our return trip from that same small Budget office was $189, so we took the free shuttled to MIA Budget where it was $43. TOTAL: Car and room : $157 VS Parking at port for $22 per day was $308 for our 14 day cruise, we saved $151, AND renting a car saved wear and tear on our car and left our car in our driveway so the house didn't look empty. AND renting the room let us board the ship rested so we could enjoy our first day and evening without turning in early because of a Long day.

Wow, what a great idea! Gonna have to look int that in the future. We booked a room at Laquinta Airport East for upcoming cruise August 17th for a week long cruise. Parking was free with a complimentary shuttle to the port. Of course you will have to get uber or taxi back to your car when you disembark. Looks to be around $15 for the Uber. We have learned from past experience of almost missing a cruise that it is dangerous not getting to miami the day before enmbarking in case of anything unexpected. Flight delays, car problems, traffic jams, Etc..

  6. From the sounds of it, it is hit and miss and depends alot on the sailing. For some reason there seems to be a LOT of empty cabins on this sailing, I was debating between this one and Norwegian Jade where there is a major promo going on with the site I use to book. However, I've done Celebrity and I think they have a much better reputation. It would be very nice to get a 2 for 1 deal on the first night. I am mostly happy with main dining room but always wanted to try Murano or Tuscan Grille.

How does one determine how many empty cabins there are on a ship?

  7. I think you'll find the martini bar the center of activity late afternoon, before dinner and then after dinner. If you enjoy entertainment before dinner, the rendezvous lounge. I enjoy the world class bar...very quiet, get to know the bartender...interesting drinks and some better single malts if you're a scotch drinker. The silent disco is a must...even if you just watch.

I would skip the Novo Fogo tasting (seriously). Do the galley tour if you see it on the daily events schedule. Try the pastries in Cafe B'cchio which are free ... with/without the coffee which is included in your premium package...best coffee on the ship. Avoid the art auctions. Try to eat one dinner in Murano restaurant....but don't pay full price...,bargain with them on price...you should be able to get them down to $35 pp or less....maybe a few days into the cruise.

    You'll have a great time...enjoy

Great advice! As far as bartering the price at the Murano. Any suggestions on who to talk to about that or how to do it?

  8. That's the best one of them all! Beware the afternoon savories and remember you can ask for a cheese plate or fruit plate instead of whatever they are that even the seagulls wouldn't eat! Only one that I have never seen in 8+ cruises is the disembarkation lounge....I've sailed out of Bayonne, Southampton, Amsterdam, San Diego, FLL, MIA and Vancouver and never seen or been invited to one.

Yes I had read several other posts where people did not recieve all the supposed perks for the concierge cabins so that is why I called Celebrity and asked specifically for it. You can bet if I don't get something I am supposed to, that I will be enquiring about it to my cabin steward. I asked celebrity specifically how I would know about the predeparture lounge and where to go to. I was told I would be notified once I was on the ship about that. I will be asking about that again when we arrive to check-in on the boat about that one.

Also great advice about asking for cheese or fruit instead of the "afternoon savories". I have seen many bad reviews on those!

  9. There is also the special Concierge Class luncheon in the MDR on Embarkation day, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It's so nice to be able to place your carry-on luggage in a secured section, sit at a table to meet fellow passengers and be served a nice lunch without the buffet hassle.

Yes thanks for throwing that one in. Had it written down but forgot to list it

  10. I don’t think that’s correct (Concierge is for Concierge Class only). Any passenger can use his or her services. I have, and I have seen others do the same. Coming into Dublin after the TA, the Concierge had a steady stream of passengers getting information, booking ground transportation, etc. I knew many of them and know that they were NOT inConcierge Class rooms. She certainly never turned anyone away because they weren’t in that class of stateroom.

Just got off the phone with celebrity and they gave me the perks for Concierge class cabins. Priority boarding for embarkation, expanded room menu, Special concierge for the Concierge Class Cabins. (Special Concierge is for the entire deck only and not for others), bottle of Sparkling Wine and fruit delivered to cabin for embarkation, pillow menu, Special predeparture lounge for disembarkation, daily delectables delivered to room, enhanced breakfast menu for room service.

  11. Thanks for answering so many questions. War Eagle! (Our DD is an Auburn alumni & we have a house at Lake Martin. We live in Florida, but I LOVE Alabama!

My DH & I are sailing on the Equinox August 4, the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. I downloaded the Celebrity app today and was browsing through the information. They have room service menus on the app. The breakfast menus charge for French toast, pancakes, etc. Do you know if there is the charge for the meal, plus the room service fee? If we have the drink package, can we get fresh squeezed juice at n/c via room service, or do we need to go to a dining venue to take advantage of the package? Does it matter if we are in a lower level suite (not PH or RS), but a CS? Our friends are in a non-suite stateroom, I think the in-room dining options are different for the various staterooms.

Sent from my SM-G950U using Forums mobile app

I just got off the phone with celebrity and one of the perks for Concierge Class Balcony is an expanded room service menu. Not sure how expanded or what that includes yet. We are scheduled for August 18 cruise and haven't been on Celebrity in 11 or 12 years so looking forward to it. Any suggestions on best bars, anybody? Or best drinks to try? We got a great deal on the Concierge Cabin with the premium drink package and 3 additional perks included. Any suggestions of anything special to do or experience or avoid on the Equinox also is appreciated. Desperately need some time away

  12. Entertainment as far as the shows was not quite RCCL level, but there was always live music around the ship at various times of the day. Always a DJ or band at the pool during most of sea days.

We honestly skipped most of the theater shows after “Topper” because we enjoyed the Martini Bar and Club Sky more than the shows.

I don't see Club Sky on the deck plan of the ship. Can you give me more info as to where it is and what it is?
