  1. Disabled passengers are not contagious. Please don't ignore us when we try to engage you in a conversation and/or share your table.

All too often we have experienced that many passengers tend to shy away and/or avoid us because one of us is disabled (due to a stroke) and is now confined to using a wheelchair.

Please, he's not contagious but kindness toward one another is.

Thank you for reading this post and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

People can be so inconsiderate and unfeeling sometimes. But mostly, they are very kind and see the handicapped as just people. We had a similar experience on the Vision a couple of weeks ago. Our adult daughter is developmentally delayed and always cruises with us. We were seated at a big table for 10 for breakfast one morning in the MDR. There were just the three empty chairs left for us. The "30 something's" party sitting at the table didn't even acknowledge us when we sat down. They just kept talking, laughing and having a good 'ol time. It was so uncomfortable for us. We usually ask for a small table but that morning, we were running late so just took what they gave us. Those people never said anything to us. Not one word. Not even a glance or a smile. We finished our breakfast and got up and left. :(

  2. We had a similar experience last week on the Vision. My filet was so tough I barely managed to eat half of it. There was some sort of macaroni and cheese dish that was orange and tasted like macaroni mixed with tomato soup. Horrible. After the meal, the waiter rolled a dessert cart over to us with several trays of old, wilted or wrinkled up pieces of cake, cannoli, etc. The presentation was enough to make you skip dessert. I much prefer to have a dessert menu presented to me. Then something fresh and appetizing brought out. We were very disappointed with the whole experience.

We ate at Chops the next night and it was outstanding! :D

Balcony View - No balcony but we loved the huge window. Fantastic views!

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - NA

Was wind a problem? - NA

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No

Any other comments? - We loved the room, location and size. Would book again.

  4. We did this last week on Navigator. Just went to one of the restaurants as soon as we boarded and told them where and when each night we wanted to eat and they took care of it right away.

Thanks, it's good to know I can do that. We bought the 2-night for our cruise on the Vision in two weeks! :D

  5. Was booked for Nov '18 on Enchantment out of Galveston to Panama. Cruise was cancelled due to itinerary/home port changes. Looking to see what was available and see Enchantment is doing a 7 night from Galveston in may '19 (she usually just does 4 and 5 night). There is only 1 balcony left. My question...If this sailing/port/ect just became available why is it almost at full capacity? Are the passengers booked the passengers that were booked from the original itinerary? Since this is a new change, any chance there's going to be a number of cancelations? Only balcony available is on deck 7 at the elevators. A little concerned about centrum noise. Thoughts???

I just checked and there are plenty of balconies available for this cruise. :D
