We have the 2 bedroom lagoon villa booked. I am budgeting a $200 tip for excellent service. Possibly more if we feel it is exceptional. 

Still waiting to hear on GA sailing 4/29. This waiting is killing me. We will be happy no matter what. Just happy to be on another cruise.

We are on the Getaway 4/29 sailing. We upgraded to Haven in 2016 and hope to get upgraded this time. This is much more stressful than calling at the 30 day mark and offering an amount. My husband has no idea I bid on the upgrade. If I get it he will find out the same way he did last time, at check-in.

We have used Butts Up twice and it was great both times. We only did the cave tubing. We had no issues with the lights. The cave isn't totally dark. The lunch provided was also good.

Anyone on the NCL Getaway April 29th sailing and bid?

Yes, we bid on a mini suite and Haven courtyard penthouse. Last trip on Getaway we had Haven Spa room.

Fortune House which is downtown has two bedroom apartments you can book for 1 night. We enjoyed our stay there.

Also, do you remember if Belize local time match NCL ship time?

The ship changes to local time. I think we went one hour ahead for Roatan, another hour ahead for Belize. First cruise I have ever taken that changed the ship time 4 times.

We just returned yesterday from our Getaway cruise. We had the Haven Spa Suite and loved it. It was the quietest cabin we have ever had. Only two floors to the Haven and one to the Spa. We used the jacuzzi tub a couple of times and it was great. Ample room on the balcony.

We are on the 6/19 sailing and looking forward to it. We are attending the Meet & Greet. Thanks for your review.

If the spa passes are sold out online, is there any available once aboard the ship? This is for the Breakaway but I suppose it is the same for the entire fleet..

You can purchase onboard. They are $20 more pp. Go to the spa as soon as you board.

We sailed on the Epic last September. We had great weather the entire week. It was in the 80's the entire time. Seas weren't rough. A light jacket is all we needed at night. Have a wonderful time.

Have a great cruise! Only 50 for me.

We had three cruises booked with NCL. I cancelled the third one today. I just decided I am tired of all the changes that have been made. I found a cruise on the Carnival Vista to replace the cancelled Getaway cruise and was very pleased with the price and looking forward to a change. Maybe I will regret it I guess I will find out once I have cruised the Vista.

I hope you enjoy Vista. I plan on sailing on the Vista in 2017.

Golly gee....and you mean to tell me the whole ship didn't burst into flames?

It did not. In fact, the ship is still intact and taking on new passengers every week. Hard to believe.

We are heading out on the Gem on 4/21 and we'd like to open the balcony divider. I just called NCL to have it done prior to getting to our cabin but they said they no longer allow it. Now, in May of last year we were on the Breakaway and had 12 cabins in a row and had all dividers open. So, I pressed for info and she said the recent man overboard on another cruise line has prompted this new policy. I'm not sure I buy it.

Has anyone ever had experience with doing this on the Gem? I'm guessing we need to ask our steward? Or is there a tool my husband can bring to open it himself?

We used a small pair of scissors on the Epic. Insert in hole and open to line up with two notches and turn. We only opened when we were using the balcony. We had three cabins.

The Cove balcony is great. We had one on the Dream and both times on the Breeze. We really loved the balcony. We used it often. Sail away from each port with a drink in our hand while enjoying our balcony. Watching the sunset and getting great pictures. We slept with the door open every night. Bring a bungee cord to hold the door open.

Finally made it to the double digits! 99 days to go.

Is it a problem that they give people who book through NCL priority? We booked through Butts Up and my girlfriend is worried we won't be able to get there in time.

I used Butts Up two years ago and will again in June. We didn't have any issues getting to the bus. Great time and highly recommend them.

They are missing from June 19th too.

Have a great cruise. We sailed the Epic in September and it was our best cruise, so far.

We had cabin 9700 on the Breakaway in March. We loved the window seat and it was the quietest cabin that I have ever had. You can feel the movement of the boat more than mid-ship cabins. Deck 9 was a little low to have a good view from the large picture window. We booked OA guaranty and were happy with the large handicap accesible cabin we received.

The tea they offer is very weak. I asked a server at Moderno's if that's all they offered and he said no. He brought out some PG black tea. It was much better. I also bring my own but forgot to bring it that day.
