  1. We were on that sailing too. Agree with your comments. We had a great time but it was not a great cruise.  Could have used more activities on sea days especially family friendly ones since there were 1300 kids on board. Spring break!

the Atrium was way over used. So many of the things done there would be better suited for the theater.

Our grandson is a very picky eater and was not happy with the changes to the kids menu. I filled out a Dear GM comment and got a call the next day saying that the items which had been removed are still available. He was able to order a hot dog in the MDR no problem.

We drive in from south central PA. We’ve stayed at Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Both have (or at least they used to have) a cruise package that included parking and transportation to/from the cruise terminal. Cost was about the same or less than parking at the pier. We’ve also stayed there and driven to pier. Easy trip.

for our trip next week, we’re staying at Homewood Suites in East Rutherford for the first time and driving in and parking at pier. Group of 5 this time and they were one of the few hotels that had two bedroom/two bath option. Should be easy trip to pier from there also.

We got back from cruise last week. Staying at Homewood suites worked out great for us. We had two bedroom two bathroom suite. Plenty of room for all of us. Quick walk to Panera for dinner. Gas station access without going back in highway. Less than 30 minutes drive to MCT. Will stay there again when we cruise in  September even though it’ll just be the two of us.

  3. Each person gets a key card for the cabin they are booked in. You can go to guest services on board and get additional cards. We just did this. Daughter and grandson in one cabin. Granddaughter and I were in another. We both went to guest services and got another card for our cabin and then switched them so we could both access both cabins.

believe me, I wish I could be onboard TO buy! I’d be happy to!!

Really enjoying your review. We LOVED the Sun. Great crew. If you happen to see Angela at the Atrium bar that we miss our morning Carajillos and it’s still not our anniversary!  (We’d stop there every morning after breakfast and DH would toast our anniversary .. just in case…. It’s not until May!)

  6. Decided to stick with our original plan to stay in NJ and drive to the port morning of cruise.  What was appealing with this was that they said they were picked up right outside the terminal.  (and it cost less than parking fee)  Typically, you have to cross the street to meet your ride.  Since we'll have 2 young grandchildren with us this trip, we weren't crazy about trying to get everyone and all the luggage across the street. looks like driving in will be the easiest.  thanks for the input!

  7. This sounds like it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Driving in from central PA and staying in Edison, NJ prior to our 3/24 cruise out of Manhattan cruise terminal. When I tried to request a quote I get a message that they don’t service that area. Website only  mentions airport transportation. Guess I’ll try calling them tomorrow. Would be awesome if it worked out. Tried to get their app but it never sends the code you need to complete. Little worried that this isn’t a real company.

    did you have any issues?

  8. We’re on the same sailing. Tried to book the NCL Rum, Sun and Salsa tour but only one spot open.  Still watching to see if they add more excursions. If not, we may get off and just walk around a bit or more likely, just stay on the ship.  Last time we were in San Juan there were some demonstrations in the streets and we were glad we had a guide to steer us around them. I suspect that was an isolated instance but makes me a little wary of wandering around on our own.

  9. Last two recent cruises, I haven’t been able to print using the edocs link on the main page but if I go back in to check in, I can print from there. Didn’t get email but they were there the day after check in

I have used Heidi with Bermuda Byways twice -- once for a shared tour and once for a private tour. My experience was in 2013 and 2014, but if I wouldn't hesitate to book again. She is excellent.

Back then, she toured with her blind dog Buddy. I would be surprised if Buddy is still working, but she was a sweetheart.

We toured (second time) with Heidi in October 2021. Happy to say that Buddy came along for the ride!

I made an appt for our Seattle departure on Bliss for 9AM. It just dawned on me, is that Pacific time? We live on the east coast and will be in Seattle for the test. My confirmation email doesn’t state what time zone although it knows the sailing and the ship, so anyone know if my confirmed time is in fact PDT?

All inspire test appointments are ET.
