We are booked for an Alaska cruise on Koningsdam in July. We have only cruised a couple of times but have always done anytime dining. But I have been reading different posts about long lines and was just wondering if we were to select our preference to set dining, could we swap to anytime dining once onboard if we didn't like not having the flexibility of when to eat?

Thanks for that info...we will look into the self guided walking tour especially after being on a tour will be nice to just do our own thing for an afternoon.

We have booked the Tracey Arm tour from our cruise ship which will drop us off in Juneau after the tour. Our time in port is quite long even after the tour we still have another 7 hours although probably will go back to ship earlier than that. Is Juneau walking friendly town with things to see and do or is it a place where you need to do a tour of some sort? Just wondering if we need to book another tour....would prefer not to but just want to make sure there are things to see and by foot!

Has anyone purchased or downloaded the Alaska Tour saver book? Just wondering if it is worth it?
