Finished my Mardi Gras converse sneakers.

What about a partial match. For example the same dress but two different colors. White pants with tops that are the same but different colors. You could still do the same shoes, handbags etc.
But if your sister is ok with it then why not.

Thanks for the information. I've asked on more then one occasion why someone would pay $35 to attend the "Prohibition" event to basically enter a room for dancing and be offered light refreshments and drinks if you are already on an "Ultimate" drink package? Nobody seems to have an answer for a scaled back admission price for those on a drink plan. Otherwise is it worth the $35pp surcharge to enter the room?
You do not get a discount if you have a drink package already. So is it worth the $35, it depends on if you enjoy dressing up. Everybody has different opinions on it. We are going on the Allure and have signed up again. I think if you have to justify it, than it probably wouldn't be worth it for you. We book it because we have fun, and enjoy the evening with others who have dressed up.

We recently encountered this on a flight. A young man in his 20's and his mom boarded with a large dog. She indicated the dog was a stress dog to reduce her son's stress. That dog was all over the plane, and after 3 hours of watching that dog up and down and all over, I was stressed out. They need better regulations on service dogs, I think nowadays too many people just want to travel with their pets. This was actually featured on one of the news channels.

With carnival and staggered check in you can't just show up whenever anymore. They will not let you in the building until your assigned time. And from everything I've read they are sticking with it and not making exceptions for those that arrive too early. It is slowly rolling out to all ports.
We were on Carnival in February and they didn't adhere to this. Is this new?

Never had a problem with the safes, but this makes me think cause we leave our phones and I pad charging in the room, when were out, and yes the doors are left open. Hmmm
We charge everything in the evenings before we go to bed. In the morning they are ready to go.

How big is the safe? Laptop? SLR Camera? Or is it just big enough for documents, Jewellery and money?

An ipad will fit in the bottom without having to angle it.

Not required. I am not even sure if you can wear them, they may not want them flying off and hitting someone in the head.

I'm still trying to figure out why this thread is on the Fashions and Beauty board and now people are arguing about but and commas.:D:confused:
Fashionable doors:D

Princess has metal doors so we do bring magnets with us.
Either free advertising magnets or cheap ones found at thrift stores. Leave them when you finish your cruise or bring them home to use on your next trip. They are small so easy to pack.
Having something on the door makes it easy to locate.
On our Thanksgiving cruise, a family posted a note saying how they loved our decorations and it reminded them of home, they left their cabin number, so on Thanksgiving Day, we took our decorations off our door and placed them on their 2 cabins. That night after midnight, a guy knocks on the door, I open it he said "sorry wrong room" he used our decorations as a way to know where his cabin was.

I've seen a few comments here and there saying that Carnival's doors are not magnetic. Are they or aren't they? Any input? I would love to decorate our door so it would be a bummer to prepare only to find out that magnets won't work!We were on a, Carnival ship in February and they were NOT magnetic, Royal and Disney are magnetic though.

However they are not available on disembarkation day.

I don't, but that is just me. I wear a long gown, so that is why I change it up.

Hi! We purchased a ring at an EFFY store in port while on a Carnival cruise. It's very beautiful, paid just under $2000, since then I have seen a pair of earrings there I just love. EFFY said they have an upgrading policy, however I didn't ask too many questions about it. Could I potentially give this ring back, and get a smaller more modest ring and the earrings if they equal the same price as my first ring (or if more expensive I would pay the difference)?
Thanks for any input you have.
Most jewelers upgrade policy is that you can trade that in, but the item you choose must be double the price you paid.

So I have ran into a small small issue. We leave in two weeks (a ton of time I know) but I do not have anything to wear for formal night. well I have tops but no bottoms.
Unfortunately because my work changed our uniform policey and I had no reason for it I threw out all my dress pants. I have no need for dress pants besides this one night so I do not feel like going out to buy any. Nor do I own a single dress..shocking I know but I hate them lol.
I do have a pair of dark wash jeans they almost look like trouser pants but with a flare bottom that I could wear. so my question is do you think it would be acceptable to wear trouser like jeans and a nice formal top (white sparkly sweater) or what would you do?
Has anyone wore dark jeans and been ok? btw it's carnival sensation so I dont think they will be as picky as the larger ships or other cruise lines if this helps any..I just dont want to get turned away at the door ..
I was on the Sensation in February and wore jeans, no problem.

Just came back from a Carnival cruise, (took this cruise because I had specific dates and Royal didn't have a cruise that fit the perimeters) here is my opinion:
1. I agree Royal's ships are easier to move around, ie passenger flow, layout etc. and getting from one floor to the next.
2. I like Royal's drink packages better. Carnival limits the number of drinks per day.
3. Carnival's price per drink without a package is cheaper.
4. We were in an inside stateroom, Carnival's was larger.
5. Food on Carnival is served hotter than Royal in the MDR, and I think it is actually better. It may be because I am tired of the same food from Royal, Carnival had some very good and different appetizers as well as main courses.
6. Of course overall I still prefer Royal.

Halloween cruise

I have several I will post them once I get to my other computer.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have seen videos from other Royal ships showing the wait staff signing on formal night - do they do that on Allure? We have Chops reservations that night - will we miss anything special in the MDR?
The second formal night is when they have the lobster tail in the MDR

We had a boardwalk balcony on the Oasis this past November, and loved, loved, it. We didn't notice any noise issues. We could also see the ocean from our balcony as well as watch the diving show from our balcony. We are going on the Allure this year, and booked a boardwalk balcony again. You will be pleasantly surprised. Here are pics of our views.

They were called body suits, and I had my fair share of them to wear with hip huggers. I still prefer the low rise jean, and I guess I am fortunate I can wear them.
