  1. If you are in ***** you will get an email from Princess. I received mine around 8 weeks before my sailing. It will tell you want to expect from the ***** system. It will also give you a number to call to verify your shipping information to send you your medallions if you live in North America. If you do not call or live outside of North America, you will get them when you check in.

You are correct that since you are not platinum or elite, that you will have to pay for your internet.

  2. So we’re on the Marina deck in a room that has the *****! I have a few questions: Our foursome booked this in December 2017 to experience the ***** and to fulfill our dream of a Crossing/Baltic combo! So now I guess we’re not going to have the FULL experience! And as for the internet, we’re not elite, so will be paying $9.99/day for it! Correct? And can’t do anything till onboard? Will our Medallions come in the mail? And how about any OBC compensation since we booked soooo early and the program is not complete!!! Just looking for answers! Kinda bummed! Thanks!!

The email your received from princess informing you that your cabin is part of the ***** has all the information as to what comes with your ***** at the moment, the price of the internet and how to get your medallions sent to you.

  3. What's the "tone" of their messages? Are they being totally "up front" and letting you know you are an early adopter and should expect problems or is their messaging still "this is wonderful, you'll love everything ***** can do for you, etc. etc"?

As others have said - I think one of their problems with ***** was that they "oversold" it. - they let the marketeers drive the implementation schedule. Which really doesn't make sense because it's not like Princess is "first to market" on any of this technology...

It goes on to say the following:

Thank you for choosing Regal Princess. We look forward to welcoming you aboard. Whether it’s fresh local cuisine, world-class entertainment or enriching experiences, we’re certain your vacation will be filled with memorable moments.

  4. I really don't understand how it's Princess' responsibility to cater to your medical needs. I'm fairly certain that if you have a specific medical need backed by a doctor's note, they will allow you to bring your own bottled water on board like they do for CPAP machines.

Actually, Princess provides a free gallon jug of distilled water for cpap users. You just need to go on your cruise personalizer and request it. They also provide extension cords for your cpap machine, for that you have to call Princess to request.

  5. I received an email from Princess yesterday informing me that my cabin is part of the selected group for my 4/8 Regal sailing and I will have the Ocean Medallion. For guests residing in North America, you contact an Ocean Navigator at least one week prior to your cruise to confirm your shipping address for your Medallions. Guests who prefer not to have a Medallion shipped or who reside outside North America will be able to collect their Medallion during check-in.

They also state that they have placed an indicator on my booking that my stateroom should not be moved or changed from the Ocean Medallion activation group without my specific request. If I wish to be considered for a complimentary upgrade, that it could result in my being moved outside of the Ocean Medallion activation group of staterooms. I am to let an Ocean Navigator know your preference to upgrade or stay in the activation zone.

  6. Regarding the dress code – What is the excepted dress code for the main dining room. My husband is Mr. Casual. The only time he ever wears a suit is for weddings, funerals & business when required. He’s hoping he can wear dockers & a collared polo shirt to the main dining room meals. With that in mind what is the accepted dress code for women.

dockers & a collared polo shirt to the main dining room meals are appropriate with exception of formal night. Women often wear dresses, skirts, capris and a nice top.

The buffet has no requirements other than no bathing suits. Must be covered up.

  7. Does either Princess Cay have a port terminal like Costa Maya and do you have to pay extra to use the facilities at the Port Terminal?

No. There is a very small straw market outside of the gate, a small gift shop and some carts to purchase items within the gate. You can rent various water sports equipment to snorkel, paddle board, fishing, etc. They also rent cabanas and clam shells. They have a bars and the BBQ. They don't have restaurants.

    • At PrincessCay – I understand you have to tender from the ship to the beach. Is the tendering fee included in the cruise package? NO FEE Also do the tender boats have schedules that they run back & forth between the shore and the ship so that we could go back to the ship for lunch or dinner? Constantly run and there is a BBQ served on the island
    • At PrincessCay – Is the beach access here included in the cruise package price? Yes
  8. I plan to use an RFID wallet which costs a whopping 99 cents at the 99 cents store.

How will we be screened for elite tender service without showing a black card?

I am sure your medallion will notify them that you are elite plus your medallion will be black signifying your elite status

  9. I am sailing in April with a friend whom I referred. Both of our $25 credits are already on our accounts for our cruise. If you are booked and don't see them you need to call princess. My friend was somehow given 2 different captain circle numbers and the credit was attached to the number that was not used in the booking. They merged the numbers and the credits appeared.

  10. Glad to see Princess taking it seriously. Unfortunately, on our way down to meet our tour, the noro struck. No cenotes for us. My wife says she has just past from the 6th to the 7th level of hell. I am on gingerale duty. Wish I could have given a review of the cenotes. Maybe next time we are in Cozumel. It' going to be a loooonnnng day!

I'm sorry to hear your wife has caught the bug and you missed the cenotes. It looks like a very interesting excursion.

  11. Hey Lor74. We are on the same ship and patiently waiting for the sun. It's trying! Just wondering if you heard the rumbles we did last night? We overheard a couple people got sick yesterday after lunch. I came up for breakfast this morning and noticed the servers switching out utensils from the buffet. I know this is a common practice but perhaps it was just more noticed because we heard people were sick? Just wondering if you had heard anything. Enjoy your day in cozumel. We are off to the cenotes.

Are you doing the Princess cenotes and turtles snorkeling tour? We are looking at doing that in April and haven't been able to find feedback on it. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

  12. I had mine compromised in Cozumel at the vanilla and spice shop at the pier. I notified the cruise shopping host, as it was a certified/ promoted store. It was the only place I used the card. He contacted the store to file a complaint and get some answers and notified corporate. He also set it up for me to call my card company to report the incident so that ball could get rolling.

I try to just use cash, but had not brought enough on shore and was in a rush to get back to the ship for departure. Within 20 minutes of leaving the shop, online purchases were made. I also received follow up communications from Princess upon returning home.

  13. I have never had princess put a $200 hold when getting on the ship. I don't believe that they run your card a check in. If they did, I would have had trouble in the past when my direct deposit didn't hit my account until the next day.

As for holds at gas stations, i have found that if I process my purchase as a debit card purchase, a large hold is placed. If i process it as a credit card purchase, it does not put a large hold on my card,
