We were in Georgetown Jan 14th, spent the morning on the beach at Smith Cove, took a cab to Royal Palms had lunch and spent the afternoon on 7 mile beach. Two completely different beach experiences but both awesome. Tough to beat.

We were just in Falmouth on Jan 15th. Never been before and we were not sure what we would do so just decided to wing it. Let me say the Port at Falmouth is great, there is lots of good shops and some entertainment, food and drink right in the port. If you want to venture outside the gate they offer a 1 hour trolly tour that leaves every 30 minutes. I think it was $22 a person but we really enjoyed it. They take you right down the crowded and busy streets of the town center, then through some residential neighborhoods, you stop at a church and go inside for a tour, then returns down the coastline. If you do not have an excursion planned some time in the port area and the tour outside would be a nice option for a great day at Falmouth.

Any thoughts on Labadee with two ships in port? Is it crowded? are there areas to avoid etc. We have no excursions scheduled, we plan to just explore, relax on the beach, get some lunch and maybe a little shopping.

This is the Hampton Inn on 12th Ave in Ft Lauderdale. We are booked there next month for the night before our cruise. They offer parking for the week for $50, I am wondering if anyone has stayed there or used the parking. Is the area safe or would I be better off using one of the parking services?

Maybe not exactly what you are looking for but Fat Fish Adventures Jet Ski to Stingray City is awesome. If you haven't done it Stingray City is really a must do, plus you get a 10 mile ride on the skis and they really let you enjoy them, pretty much doing what you want. It was the highlight of our cruise last year.

We are sailing on the IOS next month and have late dining, is it possible and if so how would I go about requesting a table just for the two of us?

Great info Rickie J! I don't want to drive to Ocho Rios or Montego Bay so something local or close to the port is great. I saw some other reviews on time and place that were mostly positive so we are planning to go. Would you say that is going to give us a good taste of local flavor and Jamaica?

The best excursion we ever did anywhere! Fat Fish Adventures Jet Ski to Stingray City. It is awesome, very small groups ours was just 9 of us. They are all great people our guide Ryan and the van driver Ray were awesome. If you have never done Stingray City it in itself is must do but combine with a 10 mile Jet Ski ride across crystal clear ocean waters and you can beat it. They let you enjoy the ride too none of this single file stuff. They will park the skis a little away from the crowds at Stingray City so you have your own space and they will take you too a snorkeling spot on the way back. We even had an encounter with a dolphin! It was amazing I cannot recommend it enough. Ous was a group of 9 ages from 18-50 and all agreed it was the highlight of our cruise.

You can leave at any time. Just tell Harvel what time you want to leave or just let him know when your ready and he will take you back.
That sounds good, we will be going in Jan! How long a ride from the port? Thank you for all your help!

It sounds like there are two pick up times at the port 10 and 11AM? What about returning to the port, can you leave at any time or is that scheduled also?

Glad to hear that you enjoyed this excursion. I just booked an excursion like this through Island Marketing for November 3 cruise. Just got my confirmation today - sounds like a similar tour that you went on. Can't wait to ride jetski through the Caribbean!
Cruising through the Caribbean on a Jet Ski was awesome. I cant speak for the others but Fat Fish lets u do pretty much what you want, I mean none of the single file stuff you are pretty much free to cruise as you wish, we even encountered a friendly dolphin on the way back, all in all it was a great experience!

Small world~ we moved to Murrieta/Temecula in 1989, then to Tennessee for 10 years and moved back in 2005. The growth from 1996 to 2005 was maddening!
Wow we moved there first in 1988, it was pretty much the Sports park a gas station and Hughes Market. We moved in 1992 and them back to Murrieta in 1995 until 2002. Yes even then the growth was phenomenal. Our kids may know one another lol

For those of you that used Fat Fish, did you pay in full upfront or pay a deposit? I've sent them an email, but haven't heard back yet. I am so excited about this excursion :)
Deposit then paid in full with a credit card right at the dock before we went out. Hey I see you are from Murrieta, we lived there 12 years before moving back to the Midwest in 2001.

We are looking at this for our January trip to Caymans. How long was the total tour and approximately what time do they begin? Did they work around the cruise schedule?
I think it was like 3-3.5 hours total including a stop at the Cay Brewery on the way back, and yes they work it around the ship schedule. They are great people! Our guide Ryan and the van driver Ray were awesome. The jet ski ride out and back was great and the experience at sting ray city is one you will never forget. There was 8 of us aged 18 to 50 and we all agreed it was the highlight of our cruise.

Awesome review so far I'm subscribed!

I just got my AFT back from a wonderful cruise on the Liberty of the Seas last week where we had the corner Aft cabin #7408. This was a nice E1 or E2 cabin that had a HUGE balcony. We loved our roomy balcony - we even invited our dinner table mates to come over for a cocktail party. We would book this cabin again in a heartbeat. The corner Aft cabins are the way to go! Here are a few pictures that I will attempt to upload.
Nice, looking forward too it!

Ok just booked our first aft cabin, #7708 on the Independence of the Seas next January. Looking very much forward to becoming an aft-man!

Tim thanks for the review it looks great! I’m looking into this for a family group of 8 for next January. I notice on their website they say they can take up to 29 people, in your opinion can 29 people fit comfortably on that catamaran? I am really looking for a smaller group like you had but I’m guessing they could have others up to a max of 29.
