  1. I used the search option and searched for birthday. It seems to be under the gifts menu.

    1) Go to Already Booked

    2) Gifts by Celebrity

    3) Gifts by Celebrity delivery aboard

    4) Special Occasions

    5) Celebration Packages

    6) Kids Birthday Bash

    Kid's Birthday Bash

Celebrate your child's birthday with Celebrity's Birthday Bash package. What celebration would be complete without a birthday cake and X Club backpack, the perfect birthday gift to hold all of their cherished cruise momentos. Let the fun begin!

  2. We've ordered the birthday package and they decorate the door and cabin using a few signs, balloons and crepe paper streamers. The butler cannot decorate the cabin for free as they don't have things like that on hand. Have you considered bringing some decorations from home?

Yeah noticed there are two different packages, one is a birthday package and the other is for kids. I noticed the kids package doesn't say anything about decorating the cabin. It mentions a cake and backpack. I would book the kids package if they also decorated the cabin, but I am not sure if they do.

  3. Has anybody ordered this before? Just wondering if they decorate the room? Any other details would be good also.

I know in the past Celebrity hasn't done anything for a his birthday when we are onboard. Generally Princess at least decorated the door for free.

  4. Does anybody know if Celebrity has had to change any stops in St. Martin because of this? Is it still a problem?

This is from NBC News and CDC

"Chikungunya virus has been confirmed in 10 people on the French side of St. Martin in the Caribbean, and it’s very likely to end up in the United States, CDC says. The virus is carried by the same mosquitoes that spread dengue virus — Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, more commonly known as the Asian tiger mosquito. Both have been making inroads into the U.S.

A virus that causes pain so severe that patients lie groaning in bed for days has come to the Western Hemisphere and travelers should take precautions, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cautions."

  5. The problem is that most promotions are not combinable. We had this problem recently where we booked and got the 123 promo. I few months later I noticed the price of our Cabin dropped, so I called Celebrity. I was told this new rate was because of a residency promo. I was told we couldn't combine the two, I picked the residency promo since it far exceeded the price it would have cost to buy the drink package. So you need to keep an eye on prices and other promos that might come up that is better.

  6. We would probably be on track about 7 am. Don't want to get up before 6, it's holiday after all! I hope we can do our morning run then and not have to worry about crowd. My husband is insisting us to do Allure because running track was amazing on Oasis but I would like to give Equinox a change!

Have you done any running in Caribbean ports? I am hoping to find running routes at least couple of Equinoxs ports. Maybe St. Thomas and Dominica...

I will agree with him on how great the running track was on Allure, the only problem I had with it was that people wouldn't following the rules and were walking side by side and blocking some of the lanes.

  7. The only thing we have found are the Ship deck plans. The Reflection is the only S-class with a solid deck 15, where were able to modify our run from the front to the aft tho at a very slower pace :D tho I guess you could add the stairs down to 14 and back up for some cross training:)

As I mentioned before, the Freedom class on RCCL have tracks designed by Runners World and are the best!

Allure of the Seas I thought had the best running track I have seen on a cruise ship. It went around the entire outside of the ship, with a slight incline. The only complaint I had there was supposed to be runner and walking lanes, but not everybody was abiding by the rules and were walking beside multiple people occupying multiple lanes. It was great for building up distance, I don't really like running loops on the smaller ships.

  8. I think the reason is that it seems the Celebrity, and other cruise lines raise the rates when they offer these promos. When I tried to add the 123 promo to my existing booking they told me I need to pair a higher fair. They said part of the promo was that you had to pay the current fair price, some cruises this meant there might not have been a fair increase, but mine meant I would need to pay more per person in order to get promo.

  9. capsoncc, I experienced the exact same thing, with the exact same excursion only difference was that I purchased mine before the price went up for fear that it was going to sell out. I too was shocked:eek: From now on I will buy all of my excursions right away, and if prices remain the same cancel and rebook onboard to use OBC.

BTW, that excursion was Excellent with a capital E. So what are you going to do, if you don't mind me asking?

I have been looking around for a private excursion, paying $135 for our 4 year old soon seems to be a lot.

  10. I noticed today when I went to book some shore excursions for my August 16th cruise they the prices have drastically gone up. e.g. I was trying to book Path of the Trolls which in the brochure was 131.50 per person, now it is more then $180 per person. That is quite the price jump, especially since excursions from the Cruise line are generally a lot more expensive then booking private. I am wondering if Celebrity is doing this because a lot of promotions appear to offer OBC, so they increase the prices drastically before a cruise since they know some people might be waiting until they get onboard to book them, therefore they recoup some of their costs from offering OBC.

I have never seen this when I cruised previously. Have others experienced this? My assumption would have been since these were published prices they would have stayed the same no matter then I booked them.

  11. Does anybody know is it a set menu in the specialty restaurant SS United States on the Celebrity infinity? I found this menu information that indicates that it is not, but it was a set menu on the Summit in March.

One of the people we are cruising with is specifically interested in the Dover Sole.

    Thanks
