  1. My wife and I always get the free room and DOU in the casino offers but we are about to sail our first DOUE for both of us cruise. The offer was hers and included a free balcony, $200 obc, $200 free play, and DOUE for her and 1 companion. This was limited time sail again offer after we returned from our last cruise. During that cruise we both had a $500 casino budget. I spent my entire $500 plus free play and had just over 16k points by the end of the cruise and left the cruise with ZERO winnings. I got an Ultra offer with DOU in the casino. My wife spent her $200 in free play plus $180. She cashed out twice to give our daughters some money to play with and left the ship with $1600 in winnings and accumulated a little more than 36k points. We estimated that before giving the money cased out to our daughters to play on, my wife was about $2200 net gain at the casino. The casino also comped her a bottle of wine at dinner the last 2 nights of the cruise and a free dinner at the steakhouse for our party of 5. Considering that we both usually spend about $1500 a piece in the casino this is by far the least amount either of us have dropped in the casino and the most points either of us have earned on a single cruse. Given that she either got the offer because of points or possibly net gain and they want a chance to get their money back this cruise, I say point accumulation due to DOUE could mean less time spent in the casino. I spoke with a gentleman on our last cruise that cruises 4 times a year in a free suite with DOUE but he also drops about $5k at the tables every cruise so he is a guaranteed net gain for the casino on those offers.
