I sailed July 3rd on Edge. I was directed to the parking garage.
Drop off luggage and send one person to park, it is a bit of a walk if you are dragging luggage. The garage was not full at all for my sailing, I parked around 2:00 pm. On level 2. Take the ticket with you, then pay before you return to the car, machines that are very easy to use by the elevator to the parking levels. $15. A day.

I had classic and had a variety of drinks, margarita, martini, vodka tonic…hubby had Bloody Mary….didn’t see a drink menu but there was probably a QR code somewhere.
I suspect they have not reinstated the dinner service yet on the Magic carpet. I heard someone ask about it, and was told it hasn’t come back yet.
-
On my cruise it was open all day, until around 9:30 pm. No dinner service offered at this time. I did not see it change decks during the day, but I could have missed it. However we spent a lot of time on the magic carpet 😃

Just got home from July 3 sailing. The first five days it was on deck 14. The last 2 days it was on Deck 16. It was so much warmer on 16.

I have a similar question, looking for a place just to 'dip our toes in the water'. I have been to the Money Bar, but do not recall a beach area, just steps into what looked like a pretty rocky area. Any ideas?

I was on the same sailing as OP. We ate in the dining room twice, both times my daughter enjoyed her entrees but on the first night I was disappointed in mine. Also ate lunch in the dining room on the first sea day, and that meal was fine.
Food is very subjective, agreed.
The coffee shop was often slammed but the crew kept up with the orders, I think they did an admirable job. The bars were also very busy, and I found some of the bars had very limited hours.
I am of the opinion that I have a better experience on longer cruises.

We are supposed to board on Thursday as well. I live in the Tampa area so no travel for me...just hope the ship is able to return on schedule. I know the Captain and crew will keep everyone safe! Prayers being said for all those in the path!
Same here, live in the area. But my daughter is flying in from St Louis on Wednesday to join me on this cruise. Hoping for the best.

Not sure why people do this. Just go to the dining room when you are ready to eat. I have not made reservations for any of my cruises, and I have had MTD on every sailing since it came out. The longest I have ever waited might have been 10 minutes.
Ditto. I have never had a problem with My Time Dining, on any size ship. Once or twice, got lucky and loved the wait staff at our first table and requested the same table every night. Have always been accomodated.
Brilliance is a wonderful ship.

Check out Panchos Backyard! Just tell our taxi driver you want to go to Panchos in town.
You'll be right in town so you can walk around and do a bit of shopping or whatever afterwards.
My daughter and I will be in Cozumel, her first visit, next month. I've not been to Panchos so thank you very much for this suggestion. Have been to the Money Bar and Nachi so looking for something else.

I’m a little south of Clearwater! And for sure...my calc teacher gave us a giant packet over break. Once we get back there is barely over a month before the exams...

Hi stazerd! I am doing the 8 day at the end of April. Can you please let me know (if you have the chance) what order the menus are? Trying to plan specialty dining.
Thank you in advance. :D
I'd be happy to do that for you…I will probably need a reminder to post. Maybe you could re-post and remind me when my cruise is over!
-
I will be boarding as you are leaving! Also spring break for me (teacher here!), also tampa/st pete area (clearwater area actually). Hope you enjoy your week and then go back to studying for those AP exams!

The T.V. in the staterooms, can you see the Main Dining Room menu for each night so you can look through it to see what there serving ?

Yes, in fact you can see the menu for the entire week all at once. Just got off Harmony this morning. It is a great ship.

Was wondering if you are seeing any sign of decorating for the holidays? Believe me, I am not rushing the season, but I will be on the Thanksgiving week cruise and I've seen a tree or two up in previous years, same week of the year.
Hope you are having a great time!

Beautiful photos! Thank you so much. I have been on the Silhouette once and I am looking forward to being back on board soon! Could you tell me if there is a World Bar? (not sure that is the right name, but whatever has taken the place of the Molecular Bar?)
-
I would definitely check temps prior to travel dates for the most current info.
That being said, for that area and those dates, I would pack clothes that can be layered (cami, half zip tops, etc); wear a waterproof mid thigh length jacket with zip out lining; pack a travel umbrella; bring gloves and a hat, as I get cold easily.
We are headed there in late October and I will pack similarly. Cords and leggings are my preference for fall and I will wear my comfortable and supportive Naot ankle boots for my daytime footwear as they are great on cobblestones and for lots of miles of walking.
I always pack an extra pair of good walking shoes in addition as that makes my feet happy.:)
I am 55 days or so before departing on my first river cruise and I am obsessing about what to pack. I live in Florida, too, so as you know my wardrobe does not involve a lot of warm clothing.
Leggings are acceptable daywear, for touring? What about evenings onboard? Ocean cruising has been my experience so far, so I am at a loss on what to wear on a river cruise.
Any advice is appreciated.

We are heading out this Thanksgiving on the Silhouette, and seeing recent bar menus leads me to believe that the only change to the bars since the last time I was on the Silhouette (11/14) is the new World Bar replacing the Molecular Bar? No Gastro Pub? And Michaels Club is now only open to certain levels of passengers? We travel as humble Concierge passengers
Was hoping for a change as I love the Martini bar but after 7 its so jammed its hard to get a drink - even when I tip cash with each order
Thanks
Subscribing to this thread! We are on the Nov 20th cruise on the Silhouette, my second cruise on this ship. Love the Sunset Bar on the Summit.
(Hello Clearwater people, I'm in Dunedin!)

Well, it didn't take us long to work out the logistics and we've booked the cruise I mentioned above today. We're in a Panorama Suite on the Royal Deck of the the Paris -> Beaches of Normandy cruise that departs on October 1st. (Anyone else here on that sailing?) My husband mentioned that he's actually more excited for the Avalon cruise than he is for the New England/Canada cruise we're doing on the Grandeur of the Seas next month. (We've already done that itinerary, so it wasn't really a surprise to hear him say that.)
Just found this thread after booking our first Avalon cruise, first river cruise. We are going on Tapestry II, same as you I think, but at the end of October. I may have lots of questions for you upon your return!

Just recently stayed on Deck 9, near the back elevators. No sound at all from above...It was a great location.

Celebrity Edge October 23, 2021 Proof of Covid test?

In pinellas county as well and very fearful that the PCR test we have scheduled with CVS will not give us results in time. Wish The celebrity site would list the ID Now test as acceptable, the Royal site does. The ID Now test seems to be readily accessible at Pinellas Walgreens.
