Our local CVS stores in Pinellas County Fl show that some do rapid antigen tests but when you try to book they universally say "no times available".  Frustrating.  Lots of urgent care centers doing the rapid antigen test but are charging from $125 to $200 dollars!  Even with insurance!

In pinellas county as well and very fearful that the PCR test we have scheduled with CVS will not give us results in time.  Wish The celebrity site would list the ID Now test as acceptable, the Royal site does.  The ID Now test seems to be readily accessible at Pinellas Walgreens.

  2. I sailed July 3rd on Edge.   I was directed to the parking garage.

Drop off luggage and send one person to park, it is a bit of a walk if you are dragging luggage.   The garage was not full at all for my sailing, I parked around 2:00 pm.  On level 2.  Take the ticket with you, then pay before you return to the car,  machines that are very easy to use by the elevator to the parking levels.  $15. A day.

  3. I was on the same sailing as OP.   We ate in the dining room twice,  both times my daughter enjoyed her entrees but on the first night I was disappointed in mine.   Also ate lunch in the dining room on the first sea day, and that meal was fine.

    Food is very subjective, agreed.

The coffee shop was often slammed but the crew kept up with the orders, I think they did an admirable job.  The bars were also very busy, and I found some of the bars had very limited hours.

I am of the opinion that I have a better experience on longer cruises.

  4. We are supposed to board on Thursday as well. I live in the Tampa area so no travel for me...just hope the ship is able to return on schedule. I know the Captain and crew will keep everyone safe! Prayers being said for all those in the path!

Same here, live in the area. But my daughter is flying in from St Louis on Wednesday to join me on this cruise. Hoping for the best.

  5. Not sure why people do this. Just go to the dining room when you are ready to eat. I have not made reservations for any of my cruises, and I have had MTD on every sailing since it came out. The longest I have ever waited might have been 10 minutes.

Ditto. I have never had a problem with My Time Dining, on any size ship. Once or twice, got lucky and loved the wait staff at our first table and requested the same table every night. Have always been accomodated.

    Brilliance is a wonderful ship.

  6. The T.V. in the staterooms, can you see the Main Dining Room menu for each night so you can look through it to see what there serving ?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yes, in fact you can see the menu for the entire week all at once. Just got off Harmony this morning. It is a great ship.

  7. I would definitely check temps prior to travel dates for the most current info.

That being said, for that area and those dates, I would pack clothes that can be layered (cami, half zip tops, etc); wear a waterproof mid thigh length jacket with zip out lining; pack a travel umbrella; bring gloves and a hat, as I get cold easily.

We are headed there in late October and I will pack similarly. Cords and leggings are my preference for fall and I will wear my comfortable and supportive Naot ankle boots for my daytime footwear as they are great on cobblestones and for lots of miles of walking.

I always pack an extra pair of good walking shoes in addition as that makes my feet happy.:)

I am 55 days or so before departing on my first river cruise and I am obsessing about what to pack. I live in Florida, too, so as you know my wardrobe does not involve a lot of warm clothing.

Leggings are acceptable daywear, for touring? What about evenings onboard? Ocean cruising has been my experience so far, so I am at a loss on what to wear on a river cruise.

    Any advice is appreciated.

  8. We are heading out this Thanksgiving on the Silhouette, and seeing recent bar menus leads me to believe that the only change to the bars since the last time I was on the Silhouette (11/14) is the new World Bar replacing the Molecular Bar? No Gastro Pub? And Michaels Club is now only open to certain levels of passengers? We travel as humble Concierge passengers

Was hoping for a change as I love the Martini bar but after 7 its so jammed its hard to get a drink - even when I tip cash with each order

    Thanks

Subscribing to this thread! We are on the Nov 20th cruise on the Silhouette, my second cruise on this ship. Love the Sunset Bar on the Summit.

(Hello Clearwater people, I'm in Dunedin!)

  9. Well, it didn't take us long to work out the logistics and we've booked the cruise I mentioned above today. We're in a Panorama Suite on the Royal Deck of the the Paris -> Beaches of Normandy cruise that departs on October 1st. (Anyone else here on that sailing?) My husband mentioned that he's actually more excited for the Avalon cruise than he is for the New England/Canada cruise we're doing on the Grandeur of the Seas next month. (We've already done that itinerary, so it wasn't really a surprise to hear him say that.)

Just found this thread after booking our first Avalon cruise, first river cruise. We are going on Tapestry II, same as you I think, but at the end of October. I may have lots of questions for you upon your return!
