  1. This seriously sounds magical! I have to say, we have really fallen fast into a great friendship (the girl version of a bro-mance, I guess lol) and it's been so fun to get to know each other on that intimate girl level! Even at 40 and 34, we are most excited about being on the balcony, in our pj's, with a bottle of wine talking about life and what we want out of it and who we are! Now switch out of pjs into bikinis and the whirlpool sounds perfect! :p :p

I always sit on the balcony before going to bed with a glass of my favorite wine (Chateau la Salle), It is so very relaxing. I was supposed to be on this cruise, but my cousin is performing on the Quantum so I changed to that ship for March 2015. You will have a lot of fun on the Liberty.

  2. I have a question, if RCL does not stop in Coco Cay, and it is part of the itinerary, do they do something for the passengers? I'm not talking necessary a refund, but maybe something like a free specialty restaurant dinner or something. I know that RCL doesn't control the weather and can't predict any problems that they might have, but with weather forecasting the way it is today, they could have somewhat of an idea of what the weather will be like when they are heading that way. Have they ever stopped at another island because they couldn't get to Coco Cay?

  3. I don't know when and which ship you were on, but now Carnival does have separate clubs for tweens (Circle C) and teens (Club 02). They also still offer the program for the little ones (Camp Carnival).

As for the clintele, I do agree that you see some oddities on the shorter cruises. I think thats more due to the weekend party-goer crowd. I've seen it on RCI as well, but not to the same extent. On the longer CCL cruises the passengers are closer to the same demographic you'd meet on RCI.

I was on Carnival Victory in 2011 and I am talking about the night clubs. There was only one on this ship and it was for 18 and above. There was not a separate dance club for the teens.

  4. I have been on both RCL and CCL and enjoyed the ships and ports equally. The problem I had with CCL was with the people(not crew or staff). While I know you are on vacation, I don't want to see you at breakfast in your robe and curlers in your hair. I don't want to see you with your pants hanging down or you having a do-rag on your head. I go on vacation to not see any of that.

I like that RCL has a separate club for the teens and adults, CCL, at least on the ship I was on, it was one club for 18 and above. I also like that RCL had more for you to do on the ship than CCL,(at least on the ships I was on).

  5. We've taken 3 12 nites Mediterranean cruises (most recent this past August)and everything that you are concerned let me put your mind at ease. You are not indicating whether you are using public transportation or RCl's transfers. We've used RCL's transfers and it has worked very well both from arriving and departing. Others on CC have commented that taxi transportation is very efficient and reasonable. Our concern with using this mode was our large bags vis-à-vis compact size cars. Getting on the ship is easy and efficient with separate lines for tier(s) level. Enjoy your cruise.

Does anyone know how much it is to use RCL's transfers?

  6. The proper way to fly into San Juan is to sit on the left side of the aircraft while facing forward as you will get a great view of Old San Juan and the Condado area. See what I mean in this pic? El Morro fort is to the far left and Condado to the far right with Old San Juan sandwiched in between and you can even see a cruise ship at the port about the middle of the photo.

I will be sailing on the Jewel this August and book my flight months ago and based on this picture I just went in and changed my seat number so that I am on that side of the aircraft. :D
