How close to embarkation can you generally book a cruise? DH asked me this last night and I had no idea.

I have the fitbit charge and I love it! It has a watch function and does count flights of stairs.

You might get a better response on the Florida Departures board.

We tried NCL a couple of years ago after primarily sailing Celebrity and HAL. Unlike the OP, we had a very positive experience. The crew was awesome and we liked the ship (Jewel). The only negatives were the food in the MDR (specialty restaurants were great) and the staterooms were kind of small. We are trying Royal for the first time in September (Brilliance to Canada/New England) and are hoping to have just as positive an experience.

We are going on our first RCCL cruise on Brilliance in September. I would love to know what you like about the ship and what we shouldn't miss while aboard.

Where would you recommend we rent a car? Is there something near the port?

We've done it twice, one of our favorite excursions ever! And no, you won't fall out of the boat.

Very impressive! I could never do it, I'm a compulsive overpacker and like to have choices in what to wear. Have a wonderful cruise and come back and tell us how it worked out for you.

Finally in the double digits - 99 days until we sail Brilliance OTS to Canada/New England. Our first RCL cruise!

We are booked on the same cruise as the OP and while we don't care about missing Belize (been there, didn't care for it) we aren't thrilled about the overnight in Cozumel. We have been there many times and done most of what we wanted to do there. I don't know whether we will cancel the cruise or not, have to think about it some more.

Our credit card was also compromised when we used stay123 and so was a friends who was traveling with us. Would never use them again.

Jambu has some really cute styles that I wouldn't consider clunky, and I find them very comfortable.

When we were on the Silhouette in January the Molecular Bar was packed every night. It's my favorite bar and the only reason I get the Premium Package. I hope this is just an unfounded rumor.

Well, hi there! We were on the right side as you look at the bar. My DH most likely was wearing an aloha shirt. Didn't get to meet you at the Connections Party. Didn't make the connection at the bar. LOL

I don't remember what I was wearing but I have very short grey hair. I think remember your group.

We were only at the connections party for a very short time, we always hang out at the Sunset Bar for sailaway.

We probably saw you there. Were you there the night 6 of us got the off-menu shot of something awesome and secret. We were told, "Not for sipping, is SHOT!" Jelena made it. :)

Great review! We were on the same sailing and also spent every evening at the Molecular Bar, both before and after dinner. We wanted to adopt Jelena and Darko (mixologists) and bring them home with us. They were just great.

Yes the Molecular Bar is on the Eclipse.

Love hearing all of these positive comments about the Brilliance - we will be aboard her for 9 days in September, our first RCCL cruise.

We had the same situation. Paid 50% deposit when booking with Celebrity then transferred to TA who required full deposit. It really didn't matter to us since we would be paying the same amount in the long run either way. The perks from the TA definitely made it worth it.

We have cruised both HAL and Celebrity and if there were two identical itineraries at the same price would choose Celebrity.
