  1. My heart goes out to you BIG TIME! I too am a 'planner' and consequently would generally rather look after the booking myself than let a TA.

That said I don't understand why so many of you are quick to blame the TA.

The OP said NO one was notified of the change. Is a TA seriously suppose to be psychic and just 'know' there was a change made OR is he/she expected to check your booking everyday just in case a change is made?

The only error the TA may have perhaps made is booking 2 in a quad room.

HOWEVER he/she did that in order to get the three rooms in a row… and considering the minors involved - that was a reasonable thing to do. Also, there is nothing stopping a double from booking a quad and no flashing light appears saying 'warning we might move you'.

I will make one assumption here - that the three bookings were LINKED. If that is true then RCCL is the one at 100% fault IMO.

All the best of wishes to you and I look forward to hearing how the story ends.

  2. Monk - thank you for your review - I know it's a lot of work to write one.

I agree with most of what you said. The egg-drop/shoe- drop nonsense is crazy. Put it back in the kids-club where it belongs. And yes I think the quality of entertainment has gone …way…. down in the last few years with the exception of the production shows on Ruby and 'On the Bayou' on Coral which are amazing.

However, you lost me at the hand sanitizer business. I don't care how much you paid for the cruise (and I really don't get what that has to do with it anyway - by that logic, the people in steerage should have to use hand sanitizer and the people in suites shouldn't have to).

I found Seattle an odd port - my main memory of it is having to lift my big suitcase myself. By the sounds of others, like you, I too was there at the 'wrong' time.

I hope you enjoy your next cruises and please write reviews again.

  3. This may have already been asked, but I just booked one of the sweet 16 rooms on the constellation, My question is being as these decks are so much larger, why don't they charge extra? I mean everything else is based on location and size, why not these? Is the room smaller or something? really curious! It almost seems to good to be true

My only is guess is that these rooms are at the VERY front of the ship. Cruisers seem to prefer being midship. We loved being in 6018 and I would book it over a midship, small balcony anyday :) The balcony really is SO much bigger I am suprised they don't charge more too! Jayna K
