Carnival caught onto the everyone on the same credit card thing and blocked it. I wish they'd block this loophole too. People don't stop and think how many people slip through with the children thing, multiply it by many. What if a family brings 4 kids in 4 cabins with an adult in each, that's 8 people and 4 cabins allowed just because 1 person might be platinum;)
So because we choose to have two cabins instead of one when we take our children on a cruise we should be penalized and split up?
-
So it seems it could go either way. My PVP suggested the FTTF also. I told my wife about it and her response was not to worry about it too much that she'd handle it and we would board together or get kicked off together but that she didn't think they would split us up. If nothing else we'll stay together for the picture and then my son and I can retreat back to the masses and wait.

Here's my situation. My wife and I took advantage of a special and booked two cabins, one for each of us plus one of our minor children each. So one adult, one child each cabin.
My question is... My wife is Platinum and gets priority boarding but I am not so will they split us up even though we're together as a family?
Thanks

Go into the shopping area from the pier and turn right like you're headed to the little Space Capsule display. Froots is on the left as you head that way. Very easy to spot

What is this 40% off port parking coupon? No one has said what hotel they got the coupon at! We will be cruising on the Liberty next October. Too soon to make hotel reservations, but we do not like doing the shuttle. My mom is in a wheelchair and it just makes things more difficult if we shuttle. We prefer to park at the port in the handicap spaces. Much easier on her and less stress for everyone. But, I would love to hear more about this 40% off port parking coupon! Anyone?
Refer to comments #10 and #11... Fairfield Inn, Titusville

I echo the comment about Fairfield Inn in Titusville. We use Marriot Reward points to stay free and utilize the 40% off voucher to park. Even if we paid for the room it's a great deal. From cabin to highway in 20 minutes.

The tour is NOT offered on the Sunshine, unfortunately. I will add that in addition to all the other things people have mentioned, when we did this tour on the Pride we started in a lounge where there were pastries and coffee and juice. The human resources director led the tour, and we got to see the area behind the stage where the singers/dancers change costumes and get ready for the show, the stage itself (where the technical director showed us some of the special effects stuff they do during the shows), the engine control room where the chief engineer was very informative about how the ship actually "works." We saw the main galley, two of the crew galleys, the sanitation area, I-95 (the main corridor that runs through the crew area), the freezers where they store food, the training room, the crew bar (where we got more refreshments), the bridge--where we actually spent a long time (the captain was quite charming) and then we ended in the steakhouse with a tour of that galley and some lovely cocktails and more snacks. We also got all the souvenirs--the bag, the picture with the captain, a lanyard, and a wristband. We did have a couple of older gentlemen in our group who struggled with all the walking--there is a LOT of walking, climbing up and down stairs, etc.
All in all it was a great time, and I look forward to doing it again--well worth the $95. Oh--I booked it at the shore excursion desk on the 2nd or 3rd day of the cruise.
We sailed the Sunshine a couple weeks ago and they were advertising the ship tours on the last sea day for that afternoon. The whole "get them quick" speech.

The sign on the Sunshine stated 40 minutes. If a book/towel/whatever is there for longer than that I'd have no problem having it removed. No confrontation can come from that and if it does then it just means I'm dealing with one of the "It's all about me" people. I'll still have the chair and they'll just be mad I guess.

where was your cabin located? Looks like there may still be problems in various areas.

Was this a 7 day cruise? If so what nights were "Formal" nights?
Day 2 and 5. Yes, it was a 7 day

My experience two weeks ago was that the a/c in my cabin worked fine. Putting my hand up to the vent I couldn't feel a lot of air coming from it but it kept our cabin very comfortable. Others may have a different experience though.

I posted the Eastern itinerary the other night. Some friends just got back from the Western and did not save the Funtimes for me. I tried. It's always the one you want that you can't find...

I uploaded all the Funtimes in an entirely new thread so they would be easier to find in a search.

Each one is 3 separate files and it says one of them is too big. Any tips on reducing the size or something? Otherwise I can only upload the first and last pages and not the middle...

I began on a review several days back and have yet to get all the way through it. I asked there about the Funtimes and I just got them all scanned in and will put them here instead of buried in the unfinished review. I have everyday except embarkation day and the side tear offs aren't there because we used them and the wife threw them away.
Hopefully I upload the pictures the right way...

We were in 8257 last week just down from 8269. No, no, and no if you want to sleep at night. Its under the Lido food place and all night long they roll around heavy carts full of dishes across the tile floor. It sounds like thunder.

Yet, if we had one cabin we'd be there anyway....
