Call up the "Dine Line" once aboard and make your request known (Sabatini's or the Crown Grille). We changed our party of five

Lion fish is a very good "white" fish. Many restaurants in South Florida are serving it. A win-win for us, great fish, remove a non-native fish that is crowding out the reefs.
The quills are the dangerous part of the fish. Don't try to handle them without proper training. Most are caught here by spear gun

We stayed at the Square Hotel, right in the center of town. Great location. Rooms were good size, with a Continental breakfast included. Many tourist attractions easily within walking distance.

I inquired one night and was told it was by the bottle. After looking at the wine list, the more popular wines types had one or maybe two offerings by the glass. All other selection were by the bottle

When we came off the Regal on 1/31 there was a clinic set up outside (open air) just before you enter the terminal. Had a open check in area and tables behind temporary walls for the medical stuff. I believe it was DocGo as the vendor. Wasn't crowded at around 9am

MUTS and Casino screens had the NFC & AFC Championship games on

If they are filling tables with <1000 pax, then what's the issue if they fill tables with 2000, 3000? Must be lots of empty unused tables right now.
What I meant to say was that they were allowing all seats to be occupied. But none of the tables were more than half full. The Craps table was the fullest.

Off the Regal, full seating at the tables. But with less than 1000 passengers, it wasn't any issue

Off the Regal yesterday morning, the DocGo site was manned at 8:45am. About 50 feet before the passenger entry into the Terminal. A check in table and then a screened off test area. Easy Peasy

I think we will go earlier than 2pm. I am uncomfortable with going that late. It is at Fort Lauderdale.
Do that, worse thing that can happen is you sit in a waiting area

Understand that Greenland is nowhere near a "guaranteed" port. We took a cruise across the Northern Atlantic on the Star Princess and made it to Greenland, the Captain was so excited that after 11 attempts to get there he was finally successful. But at the time we went there, no excursions were available. Just tender to the town, walk around, see the homes, people and some buildings. The most interesting thing was a small iceberg (growler?) had beached itself in the port area. Glad we made it in.
Now Iceland was a different story, many great excursions.
My view on the two as we saw them ..... Iceland has no ice, Greenland has no green

As it was said before, if you booked thru a TA, call the TA. If you booked thru Princess, call them directly. We cancelled a November cruise (before final payment) about 12 days ago, got 100% of our booking deposit back and credited to our CC in 8 days.
Sadly from the Princess agent we spoke to, about 99% of all calls to them are cancellations

According to Cruise Mapper, the Enchanted is due to arrive at 11am on 9/2. Sadly we cancelled out 11/30/21 10 day cruise.

Any info on how they are handling the Casino tables & slots?

For the first time in weeks it opened normally. All info seems to be there. Time will tell.

Downloaded the Medallion Class app on my android phone, entered my email address and same password that I use for the Princess web page ... bingo, brought up our November cruise. After this snafu with the Princess home page, haven't been able to log in. Same email address and password on both. Claims I am locked out, using Firefox browser. Mighty poor Corporate image.

Downloaded, worked well. Ordered our Medallions. Most of the other stuff is not operable, maybe because 1. Haven't made final payments. 2. Cruise is 216 days out
But it knew me w/o signing in, cool

Actually, fees from cruise ships represent significant contributions to a city. GVHA earns 70% of its revenues from cruise ships. Millions go to improvement projects around the city...
For poor islands without industries, the cruise business is important.
I would not worry about local facilities. Tourist-oriented restaurants and retail will convert to visitors-only clientele, with a focus on safety protocol. After all, not many locals are interested in Frog or tie-dyed shirts.
You want to spend money. They want your money. Somehow, the two will meet under safe conditions.
The last lines point out the problem, if we can't walk off and explore, we can't meet and spend.

If we could get the vaccine shots here in South Florida, I'd pack my masks and make the 55 minute drive to Port Everglades. Anything from 2 - 7 days would be fine, just open the casino like normal. 🙂

Well if Princess goes with Princess only excursions, no walk offs, that will be a disappointment in some Ports (St Thomas, Sint Maarten, San Juan, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao come to mind) as we have been on many of the excursions and have no desire to repeat any. We would usually walk off and explore the towns. Might as well close down Havensight and then other's shopping havens. What would be the benefit to each port besides the small number of excursions? How would it help the local people make a living?
Mind you, I can chill on the ship pretty well, haven't gone ashore in the Princess Cays in years, unless enough time has gone by to sample some new tee shirts. And maybe some local crafts in the Cays and outside the fence.

Looked at the prices for the 11/30 Enchanted 10 day cruise on the website, did a "booking" for a balcony using the BSE package. Price was so-so. So I emailed my Princess Planner and asked her what she had, saved almost $1100 (for two) over the website price and we were eligible for a $100 Casino credit too. So we booked it, good enough. I really wasn't expecting that much of a drop in fare, but I'll take it. Also from the search on the website, stateroom availability wasn't huge. Not sure if they are holding back rooms or not.

Nothing new from my friend. He's home with his family and I'll leave him be for a while. They have some catching up to do. I looked last night early and only the Majestic had any movement. Gives me something to watch along with the Sky in the Med
Arrival time in Quebec
in Princess Cruises
Posted · Edited by busterfla
We did this cruise about 5 years back and had no problems. Flew from South Florida to Minneapolis then on to Quebec, landing around 4pm. Directed by Princess Ground agents to gather up our luggage, put on the cruise tags and proceed to a line of transfer buses and and had to wait until the bus was mostly full (30 minutes or so) and off we went. Got to the terminal and and the porters collected the luggage. Checked in like usual and went up to the cabin, dumped carry-on and went to dinner. Came back and luggage had arrived. Went off afterwards to walk around (no much there and rainy) picked up some cold drinks for the coming days. You had to carry your ship's card to exit and return. Assuming the Medallion works now. Saw some peeps coming back around midnight.
