  1. which happened to be our first, and we have it for our next cruise.

First, it is only $50 per cabin - so if there are two or three in a cabin, the cost per person goes down yet everyone gets all the benefits.

Once you purchase FTTF, your boarding passes and luggage tags will be updated; ours read "F2F". Carnival may have changed that verbiage since it was 13 months ago that we were on the cruise.

When arriving at the port, we went straight to the DIAMOND/PLAT/F2F/ etc. line. As it turned out, we arrived so early we were the first in that line. LOLOL.

When checking in aboard ship, your Sign&Sail cards will be stickered on the reverse so that you can "claim" F2F benefits at various spots.

We went straight to the cabin and put in our carryon luggage [that is all we use] and were immediately free to roam the ship 5 minutes after boarding. I went to the gym and had a brief workout and shower. Changed clothes and then for some reason, I forget which, went to the Guest Services desk. As soon as I did that I realized my $50 was well-spent because there was a l-o-n-g line of people still trying to just board the ship! And, I had already dumped my luggage, roamed the ship, had a workout, and was seeking help/advice on some topic. Stand in line? No thank you very much.

As far as tendering, we went to GS desk and got escorted to the head of the line to catch the tender from the ship to port. As others have noted, there is no "head of the line" privilege when returning to the ship.

    Get F2F? Slam dunk yes.

  2. because there are two Belkin chargers that appear identical

Belkin part number BZ 103050 has two USB charging ports but the amperage is only 0.5 amp. This item is usually listed on sites as Belkin Mini Travel Surge Protector [or words to that effect].

Belkin part number BST 300BG has two USB charging ports with a combined amperage of 2.1 amps. This item is usually listed on sites as Belkin SurgePlus Swivel Charger.

I use the the BZ103050 at home [because I can charge my smartphone, etc with its own charger] and it works fine; simply used as a surge protector. But if you need the higher amperage, pay attention to what you are purchasing.

  3. Good day,

wife and I have never been to Roatan. Our cruise will take us there on December 3, 2014. I have some questions for those with experience:

Q1 - It seems the temperature at this time is mid-80s. Anything else we should know?

Q2 - Carnival's "Relax On The Beach" excursion says "One ticket accommodates two guests . . ." but then it lists the price as $39.99 "per person". What will this cost my wife and I, $40 or $80?

Q3 - one or two reviewers said that they simply used the chair lift to go back and forth to the ship to eat since the area was so close? Is this feasible? What about leaving your clamshell on the beach and returning to it later?

    Thanks for your replies.

  4. Well, I just suggested my lil theory because newer ships like the Magic seem to have the newest water slides and kid perks and more families tend to go on these ships since they are usually bigger. I was just trying to help here, although I've only been on three cruises. No need to lash out the snarky comments.

if you have a reason for your "lil theory" why not mention it in your post instead of simply "don't go on ship X"??

The OP has to provide more information in order to get an intelligent answer - port of departure; date of cruise; desired itinerary; budget; etc. just for starters.

But, mindless replies such as yours are what fills up 99% of the space on this talkboard - people saying things that make no sense or provide no intelligent response.

Yes I expect this to be deleted - but, I call them like I see them.

  5. I would suggest a older boat such as the freedom or the imagination, but avoid newer boats like the magic because there will likely be more kids which isnt as quiet unless you go seclude yourself in a corner.

    do you figure that ??

    (my emphasis)

The OP has not even mentioned port of departure or itinerary. Why would an older "boat" automatically be better ??
