If OP stayed in a hotel the night before, could be the bed bug bites occurred there. As posted above often a delay in symptoms. Not a HA cheerleader.. just a registered nurse.

I have family on the Joy right now in the Haven and they wanted the beds split - the answer was that they don't split even though they were told pre-cruise that they do.
Yikes!! That is awful! Especially spending the extra for the Haven. I called the concierge number and was told the King beds do not split. The prior agent gave me incorrect information. Not sure why this info isn’t clearly stated on line? Would have not been happy finding that out on board.

Thank you for all the helpful feedback. When I called Norwegian to ask questions the agent, he did tell me you can have the king size bed separated. From the description of the Haven suites I began to think that may not be the case, why I am asking here. It seems most are in agreement that the bed cannot be separated. I will call guest services in the morning and will inquire. I like my female travel companion but do not want to sleep with her. May have to move on from the Haven.. or sleep on the sofa? UGH! I am thinking you all are on to something.. no separate beds.
Wonder why they say this:
My reservation says:
Special RequestsMrs. LAURA : Twin BedsSpecial requests are at the discretion of the cruise line and cannot be guaranteed. -

Yes.
Just call the Haven Pre concierge number from welcome letter.
They will set this up for you along with other preferences you might have.
We had pitcher of water and orange juice in fridge when we arrived.
No need for water package. Could have saved us $, as we bought it before cruise. Never needed the boxed waters.
Thank you for your information. The website just says King size bed. Traveling with a friend. The Haven sounds lovely.. not sure what we will do with a butler?? But we want to figure that out!!

Can the king size bed in the Haven suitedbe separated to 2 beds? thank you!!

Great review. On July 10th cruise out of Amsterdam!!!
Hope you will do a comparison review. Much thanks to OP for this review. I have sailed Celebrity twice and enjoyed cruising with them. I would give HA the edge of the half star. This was pre Covid so now.. who knows.. thanks again for your review

Just to add to the list:
packs of crackers
cartons of milk
art auction flyers
cooking classes
Mariner's Luncheons
Mariner medal ceremonies open to all Mariners
wine stewards
crew smiles
Baked Alaska, bottled water, newspaper and puzzles delivered to your mailbox, disembark room service (for me the most awful takeaway)

Disappointed to hear about MDR closed for breakfast and lunch. I would not like that at all. That should be disclosed prior to sailing.

Thank you so much for posting the menus and your experience on the first 2022 cruise to Alaska. I have enjoyed all the information you have provided and indulged on the menus. Very fun to order an imaginary dinner each evening. Looking forward to my Alaska cruise September 4 on the Westerdam. First time in a Neptune suite. Thank you again for all your information and suggestions. Hope to follow along on another of your cruises. Glad you had a wonderful cruise.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I went back in to the reservation and clicked complimentary dining. Canaletto and Pinnacle grill populated. Good with that. Thank you to all who responded.

If your ship has the Tamarind restaurant, I'm pretty sure your choices will be Pinnacle Grill & Tamarind. At least that's what was available to me on the Nieuw Statendam this year.
Thank you!!! I really enjoy the Tamarind!!

I have two dining credits (part of have it all). Can you use these for Rudi's or Tamarind? or only Canaletto and Pinnacle? Thank you

Thank you!! Pretty sure some addictive substance is added to those!! LOL

Thanks for sharing the advice to use the Navigator app for comments. In the past I have written thank you notes and added a tip. Also pay crew gratuities. Will now provide feedback on the app. The HA crew is amazing!! Makes me happy I am able to cruise and afford to tip as well. A happy tipper here.

Odd ask.. do they still make the home made breadsticks served in the Lido? They were near the soup and the rolls at lunch. Thank you for checking if you have time.

Princess and Celebrity canceled all Asia cruises in 2022 and 2023. Holland America starting spring of 2023. Booked on Hong Kong to Tokyo on Viking March 2023.. sounding iffy.

Hope to see the Alaska menus if you have time..

Thank you for this information.. booked on a Viking cruise March 2023.. sounds unlikely. Another one bites the dust…

I thought - oh, a solution! Unfortunately, I just tried it and am still getting the red error message. I too am booked on SAS (scheduled for 5/31) and their system shows us as not yet ticketed, and am worried we will lose the flights. Oh, well - back on hold for me I guess. Maybe someday I will get through.
Sorry that did not work. I use Safari.. you may try to clear you browsing history.. restart and try it again. Uncheck the boxes by your names. May even try to uncheck them.. then restart.. sorry it’s not working.. I went through that for MONTHS as well. Frustrating
Itinerary change. Now going to Astoria, OR
in Holland America Line

Astoria is a fun little town. The best chowder is at the Silver Salmon Grill. it’s not on the waterfront but maybe 3 blocks into town. The chowder is also on the daily happy hour menu. Some of the best chowder I have ever had! There’s a fun kind of store on the same street Commercial St. It is huge and sells all
kinds of tools, close outs, kitchen items.. the store is a hoot and don’t miss the basement. We found a very fun walking stick there. On Sunday, is the local farmers market with lots of crafts. Very cute town to just walk around and explore.
