Just called C&A for info since we have the 20% off offer too. Well - it's 20% off the NEW IMPROVED UPDATED AND HIGHER ON BOARD price. As other OP have noted - the prices are going up so this is a sale.
So - you save a whopping $16.50 for the week. It's a sale!!
Boo!!

Glad you had a great time. Can't you believe you wrangled 17 ppl. Yikes!
Thanks for the review!! -
Bon voyage! Cheers!

Some folks are reporting being able to get other packages discounted by calling the cruise line directly.
I've checked my cruise planner and haven't seen anything for the August 7 sailing on Liberty. I called C&A and he said Allure only or possibly punch cards may be offered on board. Relayed that increased flexibility for the ship to offer discounts or offers or not. Is this one of those "consistently inconsistent" responses?
Anyone seen a discount for Liberty?
Thanks all - Cheers!

There were a lot of people who didn't get off the ship in Jamaica, or who waited until later in the day. Many like to stay on board and use the pools, spa, etc. It's a vacation with no requirements to be anywhere!
Falmouth concerned me very little in terms of safety. It's a small town whose local population predominately now relies directly, or indirectly, on cruise ships for their employment. Crime does occur, like anywhere in the world, but I'd surmise you're more likely to be in a vehicular accident than a victim of a crime (much like most of the USA).

We loved Chankanaab park in Cozumel! Tickets are $21 for 12 year old and up, and your ticket includes Sea Lion Show, Prehispanic Eco Tour, Dolphin Presentation, Manatee Exhibition, Beach, Coral Reef and facilities; restrooms, hammocks, palapas, beach chairs, swimming pool, showers and more. The snorkeling here is awesome, our daughter loved it when she was 10, we are going back in the fall. To can rent snorkeling equipment or bring your own. It's only 10 min taxi from cruise terminal.
We enjoyed Chankanaab Park! Lots to do and food reasonable. They usually have a coupon on their website.
Swimming with the stingrays is a must do! I did that 15 years ago and can't wait for my kids to do it this summer! Just amazing.
Fun times with your daughter! Enjoy!!

In the past - we've asked our teens to check in with us at specific times. We're always in 1 of 3 places on the ship so we're pretty predictable. We have a general idea of where they will be based on the published activities. We haven't had a problem in the past.
Certainly depends on your teen and their age.
Enjoy your cruise.

YadaYadaJodi - Hope you'll review your cruise - we're on that itinerary as well in August. Wondering about dinner menu order and other activities!
Enjoying the review!

Appreciate the review and pics!

I'm assuming that is with a credit card on the account? We won't be using a credit card on ours, cash or travelers checks. Surely with cash once you run out of money you can't spend.
It was connected to a credit card. All of our seapasses were linked to each other and the same card. It's been several years at this point. Just be proactive about their seapass account.

Last I heard, you can put limits in kids accounts, but strangely, the limit does not work in the arcade.
My son learned his lesson and it's not been an issue for us. He worked off the arcade expense in chores. We laugh now...
You can either set the example or be the example....
-
You don't have to put cash on their SeaPass cards for the arcade, they can swipe the cards themselves at the arcade. No limits on spending at the arcade.
This "no limits" got our youngest into trouble - several hundred dollars later at the arcade he was going to be washing dishing for the rest of his life! You can put a limit. Wish we had!!

Loved the review and glad you had a great time. We just have 2 teens but everyone getting what they want for meals and plenty of activities makes a cruise such a great family trip.
Cheers!!

I did this last summer and brought itms from home. Magnetic signs for the door was fun! Also hung itms from the ceiling.

Thanks for taking the time to provide great info. Sounds like you all had a great time. Love the FW designation. I know her pain and the struggle is real.

I'm not even sailing on Freedom anytime in the foreseeable future but I LOVED the review. Sounds like you girls know how to party!!
My family sailed on Oasis in 2011 with another family and we all loved it! Great ship and loads to do. I'm certain we didn't see it all. Guess we'll have to go back...
Thanks for sharing your fabulous vacation. So glad you had a ball. Next year will be even more fun!
Cheers!!

Good idea, that one I've not heard of before.
After years of packing 2 boys for camp - it was our top pick. When they were young - I packed an outfit a day. Some years - way too many clean bags came home!! 😳
Really does give loads of more space in the luggage. We just store them in the suitcase and reuse the zip lock bags.
-
I always save cleaners bags prior to traveling and place a cleaners bag under and over my hang up clothes. It really minimizing wrinkles. It adds some bulk but everything just slides rather than wad up.
We also use 2 gallon zip lock bags for folded clothes. Squeeze out all air and zip up. Minimizes wrinkles and improves luggage space.
Bon voyage and good luck!

I supposed I could but I wouldn't want to!

Galveston is a nice town to visit the night or two before a cruise. There's live music at various places, great restaurants, ferry to the Bolivar Peninsula and just a nice beachy town. Lived in Houston all my life and I-45 has been under construction my entire life. Seriously. Driving to Galveston can take an hour or 3 hours - depending on traffic, road construction and events. I wouldn't cut it that close!
Cheers!

No doubt, but Texans by and large have a very strong affinity for their state.)
Why, yes, yes we do!

We cruised out of Barcelona several years ago. Got to the airport and our flight through Newark was cancelled close to departure time. No problem - they got us on another flight through Paris. Great. Long first leg and sleep!
We arrived and our luggage went via various routes. Some went through Newark, some went through London and some went with us through Paris. So we had parts of our luggage that day and the others followed. We had enough of the right stuff to enjoy the city. We were sooo happy we chose to fly in several days before the departure date.
After that experience - my husband never questions arriving early. It's just part of the vacation. I'll second that Barcelona is fabulous. Enjoy the city. It's amazing!!

I think most of us agree that the rating system is flawed, and that it may not get the cruiseline what they're looking for with respect to customers' perspectives. However, my opinion of the validity of the survey or my indignation over having to provide a less than 100% honest score does not trump the career path or the continued employment of a server who's provided good service for me all week. Maybe others are OK with being provided great service and their server facing the consequences of getting an 8 or a 9 on the survey. I'm not.
