  1. Thanks for doing the live from thread. We will be doing b2b beginning 3/23 and I will be eagerly awaiting your posts. I would be very interesting in hearing about the entertainment except the production shows as I am already aware of them. If you can take photos of the patters and post them I would be even more appreciative. Post cruise works, since I know internet time is precious.

We'll be on her next month and would also, love to see the patters! The most resent ones I've been able to find were the first of Dec 2013, so yours would be a great help! :o Have a great time! :D

  2. I'm on the Island in about three weeks. How often do the movies change? I haven't seen Gravity or Last Vegas yet. I won't get them from Redbox if I know they are my choices on the ship.

I was wondering how often the movies change, also! We'll be on the Royal in April! Anyone know? :o

  3. It works great & is much easier than carrying so much cash.

    A link to gift info:

The order form if you want to fax your request for any orders which is how we do it but you can also call or snail mail:

One final question, I'll be on the Royal this April :D and just wanted to be sure this is the same for this ship! Thanks to everyone, this is so GREAT!! ;)

  4. It works well as the above posters have stated. Just call Princess and tell the rep you want to pre-purchase casino vouchers for your cruise. The best thing about it is it shows as a purchase on your credit card, not a cash advance, so you do NOT get charged any extra fees and you'll also get points/miles if your card plan has such a feature!

WOW, who know, not me:o So you just call Princess and pay for the casino vouchers over the phone with your credit card? What dollar denominations can you get (can you get them in less that $100)? And just so I understand , I just go to the casino and they give you cash for them (you don't have to use the cash in the casino?) and there are no fees to cash them? This would be a great way to have cash for tips, etc. and not have to bring so much with you while traveling!!

  5. As far as the slots go, you can just use your room card. Stick it in the machine, create a pass code, charge to the ship account (no fees) and away you go. You can keep the money on the account until it's gone or you cash out, and you have to remember to cash out at the end. I'm not sure about the table games. Dave

Thanks NewPennCruiser! Anyone know how it works to play at the blackjack tables (can you use cash or charge to your ship account--WITHOUT fees)? Does Royal have the blackjack machines and if so, can you use your room card like the slot machines? Thanks everyone!!

  6. Thanks for the review, we will be on her in April :D This might be a silly question, but I haven't been on a Princess cruise in over 15 years! Do you have to have cash for the casino or can you charge it to your ship account (I don't want to get cash/funds on board that charges you a fee)? Thanks!!

  7. I can answer a few of these:

They didn't have a batting cage, but used the basketball court as a batting cage for a few hours during the late morning at least a few times during the week. There are two or three outdoor golf cages, and they have ping pong tables and a Foosball table. Sorry, not sure about the others you mentioned, as I just observed these few things while walking on the outdoor walking track.

Thanks for the info you did have!! Anyone else have any answers, what about the temp inside the ship? :o Thanks!!

  8. Great to hear you had a wonderful time! Could you tell me if the ship has:

    *Bocci Ball

    *Crochet

    *Putt-Putt Golf (mini golf)

*Batting Cage....is there a cost involved

*Indoor Golf simulator....is there a cost involved

I've tried to get these answers from Princess, but I keep getting a different answer from everyone! I've also looked on the Sports Deck 18 on Princess' website "Deck Plans" and don't see them, unless it's all just listed as "The Greens" which is on the deck plans but doesn't actually state what's there!

Also, did you think they keep the ship cold in the Piazza, Princess Theater and the Main dining rooms? I'm one of those people that gets cold easy, but I thought the Allure & Oasis were very comfortable, not cold at all

Thank you in advance for any info you might have!!

  9. Thank you soooo much for the live review! We are sailing her this April :D Could you tell me your opinion on the temp in the Theater, MDR & the inside of the ship in general? I'm one of those people that gets cold easy. :o We were on the Oasis and the Allure recently and found it to be very comfortable, I was only cold one night at dinner in the MDR. Just trying to decide on my outfits!!

  10. I would love a copy of your spreadsheet, sjc2@bham.rr.com

Can't believe you're still helping people over a year later, how sweet! We are going on the Oasis this May, but are doing the Western. Sure wish someone would post some recent Western Compass copies, I can only find older reviews on Oasis Western (but I'm not very computer savy, to do searches for what I need :o) I should be able to start making my dinner and show reservations soon and really need some compass copies  Thanks again for your GREAT review and helping so many people with your spreadsheet emails!!
