Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and recommendations.
  2. Good Afternoon, My wife and I will be taking our grown children and their spouses on a Celebrity cruise out of Port Everglades in April. My wife and I have Global Entry so we are not concerned with our ability to clear US Customs and Immigration quickly, but our kids do not. It's been a number of years since my wife and I have sailed from Port Everglades, and we were wondering the time frame it might take for our kids to leave the ship, clear Customs, and ultimately clear the terminal en route to Fort Lauderdale airport. We are looking into possible departure flights from FLL The first flight leaves at 10:30, but I think that might be a stretch. The 2nd flight leaves at 1:30 pm., and the last flight leaves at 3:30 pm. Any thoughts/comments about the departure process would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
  3. Good Morning. My wife and I are taking several of our grown children and their spouses on a Celebrity cruise out of Port Everglades next April. It's been some years since we have cruised out of Port Everglades, and cannot remember of smooth the disembarkation process was. We are beginning to investigate flights home from FLL and would appreciate any thoughts on the process of clearing US Customs and Immigration (what time we may expect to clear the terminal). My wife and I have Global Entry, and I've learned that Port Everglades is one of the few ports using this express form of customs clearance, but our kids do not. There are flights home at 10:30,1:30 and 3:30. Any thoughts on how quickly we will clear the terminal would be greatly. Thank you. Dan Walters
  4. I talked to my wife this morning, and I think we are going to do the same thing. None of the excursions on the cruise web site impress us, and they are quite pricy. On previous cruises, we just got off the ship and found local folks to show us around. It might be the best bet. I have found one or two local tours online, but they appear to be all booked up.
  5. My wife and I will be arriving in Cork, Ireland on Sept. 7 aboard the Regal Princess and are looking for ideas for small group tours that day. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciate.
