We recently returned a cruise on Carnival Radiance, and Ensenada was our port. We did a tour with Experience Ensenada. Found him on social media and he gets really good reviews. The tour was maybe 3-4 hours along and included some food stops, tequila tasting, margaritas. I highly recommend it.
Do you have a name or link to his site? I tried to Google it, but Experience Ensenada is a very generic search term. TIA.

We leave on 1/2 for a sold out cruise on Radiance. We got FTTF even though we also got a 10am check in. For us, the $69 is worth it just to be able to drop off our luggage asap in the cabin, and If the room is made up even better. Then, off to lunch and have a good time. Also, with it being a sold out cruise, and possible rain, if there are any issues, I want to make sure I can minimize my wait time in line.

Did you print the boarding passes the 1st time when they said ao1? If so, I'd use those.

We've been to Ensenada 15 times over the year's doing 3 day-ers, but usually do the round-trip bus most people take to get to town. We want to go a little further, and know they're taxis right outside, but don't want to haggle. Anyone ever use an Uber there? TIA

We are doing a quick 3 day on the Radiance on January 2nd. I just looked and they are still offering all excursions in Ensenada.

Also, has anyone been on board Ruby lately, leaving Dec 1st... how are embarkation times running? Thanks!
Just wondering what time boarding actually began. We leave the 29th. Thanks

But the key here is that you can do all of this on your own, at a fraction of the organized excursion cost.
Booking this excursion (on your own), is only $35. It includes riding through the coconut plantation and right on the ocean. The price also includes being picked up at the terminal, includes round trip boat ride to the island, and a beer, water or fresh coconut after your ride. We have done this before and are doing it again on New Year’s Day. Last time, we had the entire beach to ourselves. Sophie, who is from France runs the tours is fantastic and speaks perfect English. A relaxing day with great views

Where can I download this app?

Just saw they took the MedallionNET off to pre-purchase from Ruby, back to minutes.

Well, we can confirm that they are retheming the kids club during the October dry dock.

So we just got off the Splendor last week. We went to the steakhouse twice. I made sure when I went, to get a full copy of the entire wine list. I have the pictures, just need to figure out a way how to upload them at no charge. The best deal I think on the entire menu is the Cabernet Sauvignon Caymus 2015. When you go on the first or second night, 50% off any bottle, that is a steal at $45! Normal cost at BevMo is $80. Since I was the only one drinking, I was able to have them bring the bottle of wine up to the main dining room for the next two nights.

We just returned from our Splendor cruise. Hired a glass bottom boat water taxi to take us out to view the arch and land's end, sea lions etc. and then they dropped us directly on Medano beach and also picked us up for return to the port at an agreed upon time. Spent the time at the Sand Bar restaurant right on Medano. Great lunch with chairs under umbrellas for the afternoon while we enjoyed the sand and surf with Splendor in the background.
The Sand Bar was great, but I was so quick to pay the bill, I didn't even notice that they snuck in a BS IVA surcharge, which kind of pissed me off! Between the 3 massages and food, spent well over $200 there. Hate being taken advantage of!

We just got off...very easy debarkation, by 9:30, people were already dropping off their luggage ready to get on board.
-
We debarked on 3/24. No parking in the structure so we had to park in the open. We were charged $133 for cruise parking, then $7 for Special Event parking.
There were no signs saying how much it was. Nor was there a sign saying the structure was full. People were parking at the outside end of aisles. No way a large truck could have negotiated that.
ETA—- it’s going to get worse before it gets better. They’ve been talking about putting in a second parking structure next to the original one.
They had signs posted as you entered the garage. I took a pick of the sign. True, as we got there (10:30), that parking lot was total craziness...cars parked wherever they could find space...even fire lanes.

What time did the muster drill start?
I am on the ship right now. It started around 330ish. No need to rush when you hear the emergency sound, take you time, otherwise you will be in the back of the group like a sardine. It is better to be in front so it does not feel so claustrophobic, but you still will be packed.

So we just got to the terminal about an hour ago, and the price DID increase to $20/day for parking. Oh well, it is what it is.

I know this happened a few weeks ago when they had the grand opening of the terminal, can't imagine what can be going on now. I have FTTF and still plan on arriving at my time that I had planned on, which is between 10-11am.
IMPORTANT UPDATE
CARNIVAL SPLENDOR
MARCH 24, 2018March 23, 2018
Dear Carnival Splendor Guest,
Your cruise is tomorrow and we want to provide you with an important update regarding our embarkation plans.
Tomorrow morning, we will need a little extra time to disembark our guests from the previous cruise and have the parking facility cleared for your arrival. So, we kindly ask that you push back your pre-selected Arrival Appointment by 1 hour (e.g., if you were previously scheduled to arrive between 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM, we will now expect you from 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM). Please plan to get to the cruise terminal only during your new time.
As a reminder, in preparation for final boarding and our departure, all guests must be on board the ship no later than 60 minutes prior to the published sailing time or they will not be permitted to sail.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Most importantly, we can't wait to welcome you aboard for a FUN and memorable cruise.
Sincerely,
Denese Waiters

Nicole, your review is very timely as we board Splendor tomorrow! Different itinerary as she is now doing the Mexican Riviera but your pics of the ship and included info are appreciated!
Seriously! Perfect timing. Gives me that little extra excitement for our vaycay tomorrow!

Use that email..wait for the week prior to your sailing. We needed a special seating arrangement and only on early. We sail this sat, I emailed him on sun and had a very nice response on Monday. Now is way too soon ..you will be lost in all the sailings till then. Good luck!
Yes. I emailed him Monday, got a response back in about 30 minutes with another follow up email confirming my request yesterday. Fingers crossed it all works out when I actually get on board. He genuinely seemed like he wanted to help me and I appreciate that.

Going on this weekend, got the couples pass on Black Friday weekend when they were having a nice sale going on. Should be nice to doze off on the heated seats for a bit.

I went to the AARP website and can’t even seem to find the gift cards for Carnival at this time
-
Wow, Vallarta Food Tours looks great! Thanks!
We have it booked for next week. We shall see. We are doing the Pitillal tour.
-
Yes, just returned from our Jan 21st cruise and the price was $19.00 per day! They said website charge rate has been wrong for quite a while. Go figure. So I guess Carnival is just copying what the port posts. Happy Cruisin'
Interesting. We sail this Saturday, and got the pre-email with info, and it shows parking of $20 now. So we shall see if it went up $1 or not.

Ensenada for a Day- Ideas?
in Mexican Riviera

Found him! Thanks. After talking with him, I realized that nothing is included in the tour but the views and transportation. You buy all your own food and alcohol along the way, at least that's how I understood it. The views though did look unbelievable! We've been to Ensenada many times. This time we were looking for a food tour that might include a beer or 2. Or we can just do a Margarita or 2 at Hussongs, then walk over to grab a taco or 2 at Tacos Fenix.
