  1. Thanks

For us it’s more about the food pairing than having dinner with the crew. On the Harmony they had a curtained off area, Millinumn in a side meeting area. Other ships it’s been a while so I forget...LOL ;)

  2. Occasionally we have hit the same point as you when looking at cruise itineraries where each one we consider has a significant compromise.

Yes, but do to work schedules this time of year works. We did the Harmony last NYE and loved it. We live Ivan Vegas so getting away on New Years is perfect [emoji108]

Firstly can you extend your ‘window’ from December to give you more options?

Secondly have you considered looking at the itineraries of other cruise lines if your time line is fixed?

We like RCL, Celebrity, and used to like Princess before they got bought out by Carnival try to stick were I can build trips.

Finally, from our experience, on a couple of occasions we have felt the cruises on offer at the time we could cruise were not what we wanted and we chose alternative holiday options....Sometimes a change from cruising can be a good option!

What I do know is with cruising and air costs as high as they are it is a lot of money to pay out for something that in one way or another is minus a ‘wow’ and that even before booking you have apprehensions about!

Tell me about it trying to find a short flight from Vegas to Buenos Aires is nuts

  3. Interesting topic I’m looking into a December cruise on the ship that ends in Hong Kong. Now I question what risk do you take thinking they might pull it in earlier?

Last we cruised her was 2014 and needed an overhaul then. Hope they move Aqua Class down away from under the pool and buffet

  4. So after looking at three cruises for December it came down to South America on the 23rd on the Eclipse. Then before booking started looking at the shore excursions and they are priced real high. Many we can’t do over long walk or rough paths.

So then it took me back to Asia on the Millennium, but in 2014 we sailed on her and it was pretty ragged. Hear they have pulled it to dock and will be doing it again this summer. We like Aqua Class but don’t know why they placed it under the Pool deck. That was the other issue we had stomping feet [emoji23][emoji23]

So saying all this I’m looking for feedback on both cruises and the shore excursions

The third cruise would be Middle East/India, but there are better stops other times of the year on that one.

  5. We have four people in two cabins. Can one person buy a 4 device package and link all 4 devices or does it matter (or do some features only work depending on) which cabin you are in so that we need to buy 2x2? 4 devices is cheaper than 2 and 2.

I bought one for me one for wife. Used mine one phone, IPad, and ship computer. Just need to run one device at a time.

    Works fine.

  6. GS probably won't do it for you but if you know where to punch it can still be done. Unlike previous card, the Seapass card on Harmony has electronics in it so that if you punch in the wrong spot you will destroy those and make the card useless. Best get a card sleeve holder for your lanyard.

I’m sitting on board now and two people just passed by me with their card punched. Had to be a crew member do it cause of the chip in it.

They have holders for the card. I wouldn’t punch it

  7. We did AMA last year from Budapest to Prague. It’s was amazing and they had a biking group on board. In fact one of the days did three stops and at the first the group left us for a ride and met us two stops down.

If I recall it’s all inclusive so no drink packages to worry about.

We did ours in October so had one stop that was like an Octoberfest.

I suggest trying to spend a few days in Budapest if that’s were you start beautiful city

  8. it's push come to shove, I would never book that view, one places you over the kids area, the other over the park. noise travels up, there doesn't seem to much air flow either, the other issue is privacy... You have more on the ocean side if that matters to you. on the flip side if you are all the way in the back in one of the suits you have some great views.

still the ship and it's sister ship are lots of fun...
