We had a JR on our cruise and loved it. Spoiled now, did the Aqua on a celebrity and liked the perks.
I like and work out all my attachments ahead of time and from past experience in hotels and other venues don't trust them because they all get kickbacks

I would also consider it like being locked up in a jar. For me not having a place to look out would drive me nuts. Some go in cruises to do nothing but hang out (which is fine) or go around to get into people's business. We just like to spend time to ourselves on vacation and at time enjoy company of couples we get along with

It kills time on cruise days. Takes you into the galley but these days because of security its limited or was

I travel at times with 12/14 and it's not that hard. I've booked the ten and then get on board and go "ooopppssss we are now 14" trouble is it is a tight fit

It's all pooled and you only hope they split it fairly

100% yes. Nothing like just hanging out away from it all. Sea breeze on cruise days or watching as you leave or enter port and not having people push you while fighting to get a rail spot

Almost all cruises include tips in your payments. Some will add more while they sit at the bar every night for better drinks and service, others in the restaurant for better seating.

I use a CPac also while I bring a white zip cord type cord with me I also always get them to bring an extension if I need one.
New ships have started to place 110v plugs behind the beds because of all the medical aids people now use. Also the lamps are not 110v but if you have a power converter that works too.
As for the comment about USB not being allowed to plug into the ship
That's pretty stupid and doubt If that true

I got the one Bob posted to use at the dresser for my iPad, iPhone, etc. Unfortunately, I also have to plug a big power strip into the dresser and then run an extention over to the bed as I must travel with a CPAP. the only 110 outlets in the room are at the dresser. The one in the bathroom is only for electric shavers. It really is a problem with the CPAP as everyone is at the risk of tripping over the cord. Sometimes the room steward will bring me a heavy duty Orange extention cord and tape it down with duct tape.
I do have to say it was better on Princess as the desk with the outlet is next to one of the beds.

I would not trust thee USB on a TV. Once you turn it off it will stop charging. Don't bring those big combo USB and AC blocks that plug in you'll take the chance it won't fit. As said get an electric strip and some chargers to plug in.
Allure and Oasis have AC under the bed for CPak machines

If your staying no reason to hurry. Keep in mind the process does go smoothly. Local hotels you cannot really check in till after 12 anyway so why hurry

Just booked an AQ2 cabin midships on Infinity (M class) for fall 2016
Hoping the sewage/smell issues do not become chronic on M class ships. I recall that Radiance of the Seas on Royal C had this problem for awhile but they did some work to remedy it. Not sure of the result. (M class and Radiance class are almost same design so hoping for the best!)
The Itin was one we wanted and triple perks made up for higher pricing!
We'll be following the issue if it becomes one...
If I where you I would change up to the 11th floor Aqua rooms. The rooms midship are under the pool deck and the noise from people stomping or moving chairs is horrible.
We changed from 9082 I think it was after the second day up to 11 and it was nice and quiet.

crews change all the time. Most sign up for 6 months then three months off.... as for the Captain and other officers their runs are shorter as to not burn out I was told. This captain took extra weeks on a shift change because his wife is/was due to have a baby and wanted the extra time.
So the crew changes have nothing to do with anything outside of normal shift changes
Don't read into to it anymore than that

Yes the rooms stunk! Heard it from many people so I knew I wasn't crazy. We had a room on the 9th floor and not only would the toilet not flush (many others had the same issue) but the noises from deck 10 where horrible. We moved to deck 11 and again the toilet didn't work but was fixed by the time we got back from shore. I suggest if you're going to do Aqua then book 11 not 9, it's quieter
We where real disappointed on this ship but at the same time it had a good side.
As usual the buffet sucked, as did the entertainment and activities. Sorry some might have loved them but they also might not get off the farm much.
We've done the sister ships in this class and had a great time so this cruise was a real let down.
Guess we will stick with RC, Princess, but if the cruise is right just up a class in the Celebrity line.

I wonder if the people in Celebrity who make the decisions read this forum. Its great for customer comments and feedback all for free -but do you think they actually read them and act upon them.I suppose we will know if someone replies to this comment?
Yes they do. We had dinner with the HR person from the ship and ALL cruise lines read these forums very closely

Good luck we just got off the Millennium many good things but I've never heard so many complaints and had some myself.
We moved rooms from an Aqua suite on the 9th floor because it smelled and the pounding from deck 10. Many others had the same issues with their rooms and toilets not working.
Service in Blu was great but slow at times. Much better then the main dining room with the feel you are herded cattle at dinner.
We wanted to try Q-restaurant, sat down got our iPad menu and sat for almost an hour before we bitched about no service. They sent a waiter over just to give us iPads we already had and we just flipped at how bad the service was and walked
Much more but as you go you'll find out yourself

Just to get back at some of your posts.
Yes, I did have to get a Visa. That came from the consulate and the ship. I think some of the confusion about not having one is:
1) only needed for entry on mainland China. Not Hong Kong and places not on the mainland
2) if you are on a connecting flight just passing through
There are some other rules. I did happen to be in San Francisco and sitting there waiting to apply was worse than sitting in the Nevada DMV waiting to renew my license.
Did my wife's on line and it was a little more money but worth it

So first thanks for some great answers..
So this past week I happen to be in San Francisco and hit the consulate. If any of you had ever had the horrible experience of sitting in line in a DMV, this makes that seem like sitting on a bed of roses..... What a horrible wait in a little room with a foul smells......
After a few hours the guard stood up and started calling numbers out because the counter was broke and it took a while until anyone caught it. Now I know I needed a picture of my wife but took a chance... no luck..... but did manage to get mine done... sort of...
Here's the **** part..... the lady took all my paperwork and passport, I had a horrible time trying to make out anything she was talking about through the glass window....on top of that it was originally my understanding that it would be a one day process.... nope, guess I was misinformed...
So she tells me "ready on Wednesday"
I said "I am only in town for the day...."
She said "So sorry already started, pick up Wednesday, next please"
So now I am beyond pissed, have to figure out how to get my wife's done (find a service to pay that I can depend on). Depend on my 19 year old granddaughter who happens to go to college in SF, to pick it up without them giving her trouble.
All for about 10 hours of land time.......
Also my cruise is in October and no you don't have to wait till a month out. Also the Visa is good for a year....

It's all depends on you. Bring a bunch of boxes is risky. There is good advice from the right merchants that's all I'll say never know who's reading these posts
