  1. I booked the bundle package including flights for a cruise 7/24/16, and was told that flight information was available inside 60 days to departure. We're now 47 days out and still I have not received my flight itinerary. Anyone book this or a similar package previously? I don't want to receive it like the week before I leave.

  2. I'm paid in full and the checkin is at 100%. Is it because we booked a guarantee? No TA.

The GTY cabin could be a holdup in the availability of the e-docs. The docs have the cabin number on them, so they're not available to download until you've been assigned a cabin.

  3. I am not a Bingo player, but yes, they do charge a 3% fee to charge casino play to your on-board account which would be the same as using your credit card. There are ATMs on the ships as well, but the fee(s) for that would be higher.

  4. Your afterthought is correct. The suite might be facing aft, but it's located in the forward part of the ship. The FWD indicates to the porters when they're loading the bags how to divide them. The Escape does have some Haven access suites category H6 that are aft. What's the cabin category you're in?

Went to print my eDocs and tags for our June 4 Escape cruise. All is well, except for one thing. The cabin number was right, but it said FWD instead of AFT. And we're in a Haven aft-facing PH. Called the haven concierge. She put me on hold then came back a minute later to say "don't worry about it. As long as the cabin # is ok, you'll get your bags as usual." Somewhat comforting words, but her tone wasn't all that reassuring.

Has anyone else had this problem, and did your bags gat delivered "as usual?"

Afterthought: since this is a haven suite, maybe they all say FWD...

  5. I'm debating taking advantage of the flights/hotel/transfers/cruise bundle for this summer. I have a valid US passport, if the cruise leaves from Barcelona, goes to Italy and France then returns to Barcelona, do I need to get any additional travel documentation beforehand?

Also, on a European cruise, will I need Euros or US $ for the on board casino?

  6. We are doing the Western Caribbean from Miami with our 2 teenagers. What excursions do you suggest? We've never been to Roatan or Harvest Caye.

We booked a midship balcony room. Is there a room in same category you would suggest? We are not traveling for a year (January 2017) so I have time to change it. I have no ideas

Lastly... Are there any things you would suggest us to do/see as we've never cruised with Norwegian. Just Disney and that was over 10 years ago!

    Thanks!!

They do have "family" balcony rooms, they're not any larger than the traditional ones but they're closer to the splash academy which is their kids club. I believe there's a sticky post that has a google sheet that shows the difference between the balcony cabins - some are angled and are larger, grab one of those if you can, there's space for a lounger.

If you're big fans of meat - you have to eat at Moderno's.

  7. Hi. We are booked on a Cruise from Miami. We are flying in from sweden and will pickup a rental at the Airport. As i understand there is no rental desk at the port of Miami. Swedish agents for the rental Companys have no clue, they suggest me to return the car at the Airport. I did some research and found that Budget got a station at 89 SE 2ND STREET. If i read every thing right there is a shuttle to the port. Have anyone of you used this location and service? is it possible to pickup a rental from this location after the Cruise.

Can someone advise for us , regarding drop and pickup of rental car at the port of Miami that would be great.

I've never used that one, I'm cruising from Miami in January and dropping my rental car off at the Dollar location at 3900 NW 25th St with shuttle to the port.

  8. There are cheaper hotels closer to the airport with free airport shuttle. Some of the downtown hotels that are closer to the port have port shuttle. I stayed once at the Ramada Inn Miami Airport North when they were offering both complimentary, no longer. If you're not a large group, Uber is the way to go - cheaper than a cab!

  9. We are new to NCL! Can someone please explain their promo codes that come up with the stateroom selection? We are not interested in the WiFi or shore excursions. What is the best promo to choose? I noticed that the dining package adds to the price, but it's not much. Any help is appreciated!!

The dining package and the beverage package both add the package's gratuities that you would have paid had the package not been part of a promotion. The way I see it, is if you're a heavy drinker (roughly 9 to 10 drinks) per day, even on port days if you go off the ship, the UBP is worth it. My average bar tab on a 7 day cruise is about $150, not worth it for me. The UDP is nice, you can eat in the specialty restaurants and not worry about it, but it's all up to the way you cruise.

  10. Cruise ship slots are generally much tighter than their counterparts at land based casinos. Not saying you can't win on one, but the odds are more in the house's favor than in Vegas. I'm more of a table (blackjack and craps) player anyway, the banter is fun.
