Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Columbus Cove is still the furthest beach. I've just started looking again since I'll be back to Labadee next year. Maps I've seen recently look like they have built a breakwater under the zip lines and I think its called Adrenaline beach. (It was not there back in 2008 when I was last there.) That one looks like a long walk. Back in 2008 I thought this side was too choppy for swimming, but I'm guessing that is why this break wall was added Comments? Is that beach ok, long walk to lunch?
We actually were traveling with some friends who got a cabana at this beach. It was right next to where you get on the roller coaster and the zip line goes across it above the beach. The lunch is really close by and the water was not rough but was a little rocky they said. I think this is now the furthest beach from the entrance of Labadee like you said.

I absolutely love Nellie's Beach! We were just there in March and spent the day between swimming and relaxing in our cabana. Children seemed to enjoy playing on the sandy beach and in the water. There was no seaweed the day we were there. Hope this helps! Enjoy your cruise. :)

I'm trying to figure out if PK Travel Paul/Dimitris are the same Athens by taxi people mentioned at the beginning of this thread? Does anyone know for sure?
Yes, they are the same company. We will be using them on our upcoming visit next month! They have been great thus far in communication, changes etc. looking forward to our tour very much! :)

You will receive an email from RCI or your travel agent that your documents are ready to print. Along with your documents, your luggage tags will be available to print as well. This is usually about 6 weeks before sail date. :)

All of our wine arrived very quickly and everything was in great shape! I don't know the name of the shop, but if your making the walk down to the beach it's just after you pass a large old church. It was a small market type store. All of the wine we have opened so far has been great.

"One thing I intended to do on this last day in Italy was to find a wine shop that would ship a case of wine home to us in the US. I looked in every shop that sold wine on the way down to the beach, but found their prices to be a bit exaggerated, or touristy, if you will. Just beyond the church I followed the staircase and found a small supermarket that sold wine. I checked the prices and discovered that he sold wines from the 8 euro range all the way up to 800 Euros. He promised to ship to the US for only 60 Euros, which was expected. Most shops will ship anywhere between 40 and 70, depending on how much you order. Well, I ordered a case of 12. I picked up three bottles of limoncello and the store owner selected nine bottles for me that he highly recommended. All told, I spent 172 euro on 12 bottles, which averaged about 14 per bottle. I could have spent less, but I was satisfied with the selection made. The shipment was to be expected in 7 to 10 days. He also offered a guarantee that if a bottle was broken he would replace it. I think it was a good deal."
Thanks again for the review! How did the wine purchase work out for you? Were they shipped without any issues? Do you recall the name of the store and were you satisfied with the wine the store owner selected for you? Greatly appreciate your thoughts/recommendations. :)

Didn't actually get tickets but a confirmation voucher with a bar code on it. Can't recall how long it took but I think I received a confirmation email first then the vouchers a bit later.

Greetings,
I am trying to pre-purchase my tickets to the Colosseum online. When I go to check-out, one of the required fields asks for your nationality. There is a drop down arrow, with a long list of countries, however I am American and USA is not on the list. Has anyone run into this?
Thanks!
Yes, our group ran into this same issue. Our tour company (RIL) told us to put Italian! Jany said the info is not used for anything so that's what we did! Still not quite sure why they ask or why USA is not listed but whatever. Got the tickets. Good luck!

I am considering purchasing one of the drink packages for an upcoming FOS 7 day. Has anyone had trouble sharing a drink package on the sly with their DW/DH? My wife isn't much of a drinker so I can't justify buying her her own package. When we get to the pool she typically will get a craving for a beer or two, and I'm wondering if it's trouble to slip her one from my package. Do the bartenders/crew really pay attention to who is getting what?
And before some of you get on me about it, yes, I am well aware what is stated in the fine print at RCCL. So please step back down from the proverbial soap box and move along now, go on, beat it. Everyone has ways to save money cruising. Some to book last minute, others have a sneaky TA, and others flat out smuggle.
Cheers!
DK
Not sure about on the Freedom but I do know when we sailed on the Allure, I was not able to purchase a beer for my sister using her card which had the drink package sticker on it. I guess they checked the picture and asked if I was my sister. I said no that I was getting it for her and they said she had to get it herself. I heard several other bartenders ask others through out the week as well. So I think they check who is buying it but whether they are somehow monitoring who is actually consuming it is a different story. Hope this helps. :)

RCCI has a great itinerary in Sept 2015 - 8 nights Vancouver to LA on Jewel of the Seas - we already have quite a roll call going!
I just signed up for this sailing and roll call today! Can't believe how busy it is already being so far out!

I have noticed it is getting harder and harder to reserve the Afts on Radiance class ships! Word must be getting out how fabulous they are!

I haven't been on Radiance since the refit, but yes, on Serenade, you walked thru Rita's to get to the aft seating on the port side. Sliding glass doors from WJ and open at the backside. We ate there a couple times, but didn't notice the wind tunnel. Maybe we were just lucky;)
I remember the wind tunnel on the Brilliance last year! That's funny!

We recently booked aft room 1104 on Serenade of the Seas. We love the aft on ships, and neither the motion nor the extra walking bothers us. Since this room is right below the Windjammer Cafe Outdoor, I am concerned about possible noise. I tried to research this room, but couldn't find any reviews that are recent. Has anyone stayed in this cabin during the past year or so? If you have, I would appreciate any pros and cons you can give me, especially the noise issue. Thanks!
We are booked for 1100 on Serenade Med cruise departing in about 6 weeks. I think 1104 is right next door. From what I've read, the scraping of chairs could be heard early in the morning but not too annoying. Supposedly since the refit and Rita's above 1100 you hear even less noise. Be interesting to see others thoughts. :)

Just checked and room 9256 opened up so I called and we switched.
We were fine with 8168, but 9256 was available this morning just sitting there so I jumped on it.
This will be first time to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao so we would be happy with any room, but could not resist switching. It was calling my name :).
Thanks again for all the info and great pics.
Enjoy the day.
Nice grab! Congrats! You are going to be spoiled for life! ha ha ha!

Well! Just booked a corner aft on the Serenade for B2B cruises (8168) in 2016. The center 1102 cabin was available, but thought the corner aft would be larger! Plus that would have been directly under the windjammer outdoor patio.... Felt like there may be a privacy issue. Oh well! We're booked, I'm happy! Thanks again!

YAY! Congrats! 8168 is a nice corner aft. My sister in law had it on the Brilliance and really enjoyed the balcony. She said it was just a bit smaller than 9256 (which is her fav) but still very nice! I will see if she has any pics and post them but you probably can find plenty by searching the cabin number. Happy sailing! :)

Wondering if anyone knows much about the AFT D catagory cabin balcony's on the Serenade OTS? We're sailing in J/S 1100 next Jan....
But looking to do a B2B (21 days) on her Feb 2016.... Can't justify the cost of the J/S on these sailings, so wondering if the AFT D catagory balcony's are larger than the one's on the sides of the ship??
Thanks!

We sailed in an aft balcony 9660 on sister ship Brilliance last year and it was a very large, deep balcony with 2 loungers, 2 regular chairs and a table. The center view of the wake was amazing and the balcony had a nice overhang so lots of shade. The further decks you go down, the smaller the balconies will be on the aft. But I think they will be all larger than your standard port side balconies with exception to some of the hump ones. Enjoy! We love the Radiance class ships!
BTW: We are on the Serenade Med 12 night sailing the end of May and will be staying in 1100 so will keep her "tidy" for you!

Hi Fellow Cruisers.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend great Private Tour Operators for Rome, Florence, Naples please.
Cheers Bob.:):):)
We are using Rome in Limo for our tours in May. Here is a link on fellow CC member reviews:

Sagrada ...warning

That's odd. I just used the new site, Clorian, to purchase our tickets for next month and it worked fine. Is this the site you used? The link on the Sagrada home page takes you directly to this ticket vendor and we received confirmation right away. I have heard the lines are extremely long so you may want to try to resolve this issue and try to repurchase the tickets again. Good luck.
