Thank you.
When we booked it we had Your Time Dining but now it says ON Request. I was hoping some of the wonderful people on here would be able to help so that I didn't have to make the call.

DW and I have had the picture window. It is nice but not private since window looks out onto deck people can walk by.
-
Nona's Meatballs would be my recommendation at Cucina. Anything at the Steakhouse. As for when to go, IF you want the free bottle of wine go the first night otherwise I don't think it really matters.
-
Does anybody know what it means when your booking info says Dining Time: ON Request (ON Request) In the past it has always said Early / Late / Your Time.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,

Favorite frozen drink would be the Shadeade.

We did the cheers package earlier this year and I had no problem ordering a drink and a soda/water at the same time.

Sorry I won't be much help but we stayed at holiday inn. And I really recommend the mall near there.

I am not planning to eat a full meal at either place but I was just curious
-
sure are you going to be that hungry
Not sure, but I am all about the food. The food is part of the reason I cruise.

Can I go to the MDR and a specialty restaurant on the same night?

From Carnival's website
The Carnival Sunshine has a mini bar in all suites and in staterooms on decks 3, 5, 10, 11 and 12.

FTTF is currently sold out for the 3/5 sailing

2477 on the Freedom. It is an Oceanview obstructed but in the back corner so it is bigger than a regular OV.

We are traveling on the Miracle next Saturday. Hubby and I and three kids 9-18. We are flying in from Seattle.
I've got my paperwork etc. all in order, but I 'm having problems visualizing what embarkation will be like. We have not been able to get FTTF passes. We will each have a suitcase for ourselves. These get taken at the dock for loading- is that correct? As far as carry on, do we each take a backpack- something bigger, such as a carry-on size suitcase?
I've read about bringing swimsuits and change of clothes for dinner incase our rooms aren't ready yet. So those will be in what we bring on. Where do I put our non-alcohol drinks? (I've read we can bring on 12 20oz or less beverages. Do those go in what we carry on ourselves? or do we check them in? in a bag? in a suitcase?
What else do I need to know/bring besides patience ;)
Help a new cruiser out!
I will do my best to answer your questions. :)
Yes you will give your luggage to a porter when you arrive at the port. They will send it to storage until it is loaded. A backpack is a good sized carryon. No sure what to do with you non-alcoholic beverages we haven't brought any on before. Be prepared to wait in line for quite awhile. I am told rooms usually are not ready until after you get on the ship. DW and I went to find our room on our first cruise early and dropped our stuff off in the closet. Room wasn't ready but it wasn't not ready.
Most important relax and have fun.

What method of transportation to get from FLL to Miami? Being on deck 6 and in the front could you feel the motion of the ship or was it pretty good?
Thanks for the info.

Absolutely loving this review. Keep up the great work.

Check it a couples of times everyday. They can and will add them whenever they want.

Follow the signage for FTTF when you get to the port. Tampa has an "entrance" for FTTF and a separate room for platinum, and diamond to check in. Enjoy your cruise.

Main deck aft. room 2477 if available it's a little bigger which is very nice.

DW and I have only sailed with Carnival. We have had a great time on all 3 of our cruises. I am a firm believer that vacations are what you make of them. We went to the world of the mouse last year and it was in the 30s and rainy most of the trip but we still had an awesome time.
You should use reviews as a guideline and remember more people post a review of negative experiences than positive ones.
Enjoy your cruise.

How was the service on the Glory? What deck did you stay on?

We did Cozumel in Nov. docked at Maya last week we docked at langusta(sp). Depends on how many ships in port I guess.
Last week there were 3 Carnival and a Royal at Maya, and we were the only ship at langusta.

I have a question regarding the cheers program, If we purchase this, do both me and my husband have to purchase it or can it be just one of us?
Thanks
Everybody over 21 in the cabin must purchase the cheers program. Which sucks because DW does not drink enough to make it worth it.

Thanks for the link. So if I'm reading it right, it says Bacardi is 5.75. Should I figure that as the price for a rum/coke or add in the cost for the soda? If you get it straight, is that a 1oz shot? I don't normally order liquor straight so I don't know what's typical.
If ordered as a rum and coke the coke is included.
Sprint users and cruising the Caribbean, some advice needed..........

Be sure to put your phone into airplane mode and then turn on the wifi IF you are buying the plan from Carnival otherwise you will have a huge bill.
Not sure where you are going but some ports have free wifi available. BE SURE TO STAY IN AIRPLANE MODE.
Have a safe trip.
