  1. I have 3 bids for royal up cabins, the web site shows all categories sold  out for my bids.

got an email today from royal Carribean asking me if I want to upgrade to jr. Suite, grand suite, and owners suite for a good price.

prices offered were 20% higher than my offer at royal up.

prices were much lower than royals normally showed went these suites were available.

    what’s going on? Thanks

  2. There is a lot of contrariness going on but it's not from me. You made this statement even though you have no idea what happened. The man wasn't "kicked off", he took a deal that was offered. Maybe he regrets it now. Everyone goes completely nuts when they don't even have any facts to go on. Your statement is pure speculation and it sounds to me that you are the one spouting what someone's legal rights are, not me. I know it's the era of instant gratification, but it really is a lot more sensible to take a breath and try to work things out before hitting the public message boards. That's all.

Everyone is making big deal out of this even though it's highly unlikely it will ever happen to them. The people with the problems seem to have been taken care of.

As the man bumped I WAS KICKED OFF.

I HAD to take the deal or lose over $7000 in return fees and hotels and euro train package . What would you have me do?

  3. What's your point ? I was under the impression the guarantee balcony meant SOMETHING. I was also under the impression that printing a set sail eticket and being thanked by celebrity via email meant SOMETHING.

Booked on March 14 and no return plans - correct.

All plans after disembarking in Southampton were made during the time I thought a guarantee meant something. Return on QM2 booked under the illusion. Is any of this my fault??

Lots of posts about not getting a cabin assignment until at the port.

I was not concerned until the phone call from celebrity 5 days before ship was to sail. We have sailed 6 or 7 times on celebrity and even more on RCI.

PAckng now for the cruise on a ship that will shorty be in refurbishing dry dock, luck me.

  4. Remember my post on this thread.

Bumped 5 days before cruise to Europe with sea pass printed and lots of prepaid plans ( hotels, train tickets ,ect) $$$ lost. New plans had to be made to rejoin my original itinerary. Ferry ,hotel added ,new train tickets.

And after all that the next day celebrity website shows cabins open in the category I had booked. No return calls from celebrity's " emergency travel team. Tried to reach them 3 times!!!!!

When I get back from this trip a new thread will be put up, an up date one.

  5. Hello Everyone,

I am the second example Kitcito in the post above. This is my 15th anniversary cruise with my wife. So to fill you in on what has happened lately.

Wednesday afternoon I checked my Celebrity Reservation page to make sure everything was cancelled and finish up all the paperwork for documentation sake. When I logged in I still had the reservation so I clicked on the manage reservation tab and low and behold I had a cabin assigned now. The booking before didn't have a cabin assignment.

So I called the Captains club line again and spoke with the same manager "Ashley" as to why is my reservation not canceled since Celebrity sent my "online TA" the cancelation letter? And also why do I have a cabin assignment now when I didn't Monday night when you cancelled my cruise and bumped me?

Ashley was very confused and put me on hold. On my first call to Ashley she put me on a waitlist of some sort she said so she could only assume that they found a cabin. So in the mean time we booked another cruise that our friends were on to join them.

So now I have two cruised booked and paid for. The Captains Club Manager "Ashley" said that they would refund the second cruise cost to me and for now we are back on the Transatlantic Cruise leaving Sunday. This whole experience has me quite upset.

I understand that the cruise industry oversells cabins but for the life of me can't understand why this happened 5 day's before sailing. And how did they suddenly come up with more rooms? Two of the 3 cruisers that were bumped and reported this on the "Roll Call" have now been put back on the ship for the sailing.

My worry is now someone else has gotten bad news that they have been cancelled and ruined there plans at the last minute like they did originally with me. Even thought we are back on the cruise It's now the same, I'm not to excited about going now. I am happy that I can celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary on board with my lovely wife but at the expense of who.

Sorry for rambling on but this whole experience has really messed with my head and emotions.
